This is the second time stepping into a Bloomingdale's, with the other being in Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ. It was pretty impressive to step into this store with its beautiful interior view and also how tidy and kept up the store is. A three-level floor with a decent selection and a lot of those products and items that look so tempting to buy, be aware. Decision-making was tough for the most part, seeing the quality and design of it all coming down to the price. Of course, that's how it goes, unfortunately. It was pretty easy to locate where each of the departments was, along also with a sign indicating where it is, specifically located at an escalator, showing each level of the named departments. It definitely helps not to get lost in the store. The highlight of the store I'd say is the furniture department, looking well organized along with a large variety to choose from, which makes you want to spend a lot of time exploring. Also, they provide Forty Carrots, famous for their frozen yogurts plus smoothies, salads, sandwiches, and other drinks and desserts. They provide sit-down as a plus. Whenever I pick up curbside I get impatient after 2 to 3 mins have passed and I end up calling the curbside pickup phone # on the parking sign. The last of the Mohicans are a handful of big Department stores here in Roosevelt Field. The crowds are here and the economy is booming like no where else on the east coast I've seen. Christmas week curbside pick up is the best way to go.. for Most stores. Impacted by worker shortages we waited and waited after check in. No one came out - So I went in to find a customer service counter to the right of the housewares Dept.. a few steps below the entrance to the main floor Mens dept... and saw a few ladies doing returns AND looking for online pick up orders. When it was finally my turn.. to say.. hey I am here.. since no one came out... and no phones picked up.. it showed Mine WAS picked up. Lol. No phone service even with Wifi.. so I had to had to go back out to see if some how a runner passed me and put them in the car out front in the curbside.. with my best friend in the car... Ok well I am back out and No.. no one came out. LOL... Back to the line that grew to 10 people but I am next thank you very much LOL.. and Then the worried girl told me it was Delivered as shown on her screen.. and someone name Rachel had it.. Panic by the ladies ensued as much as only three verrry weary ladies could be when another worker didn't show up and it was Christmas week crazy in there..... Panic... as in.. Yea it shows its delivered.. sigh.. LOL.. Then a likely sick of it all worker, that kept friendly anyway.. saw it in the few bags on the counter... it was found right there. The computer .... how that showed delivered will always remain a not relevant mystery. Christmas!! So far from the gentle scene in the manger. Considering this whole Curbside concept is not really the thing for Bloomingdale's during busy season.. it's likely Best to come here to shop in person.. mid week and early because the parking lot is as if the whole of Nassau County decided to show up. First of all, the Roosevelt Field Mall is dead on Wednesday night! Then, it's a beautiful store, but I did get totally lost! I have not been in this store probably since before the pandemic and the layout looked different! The store was a bit of a maze to navigate, couldn't even find the elevator, the touchscreen map was just as confusing.... I didn't even know what floor, or area the cosmetics department was located! The arrangement of the crisscross escalators give you a touch of vertigo, I avoided using them at all cost! There was a tall black guard by Ralph Lauren who turned his nose up at me as I walked by. One group of ladies having a meeting with their manager in the clothing department were nice enough to stop and acknowledge me. They helped direct me to the elevator, which was on the other side of the floor, otherwise I would have NEVER found it! As I finally walked through the cosmetics department, found that the beauty advisors were all clumped together against the wall and kinda hauntingly sad, not really alive-looking or enthused, some even avoided eye contact, looking down, or looking away. Nobody greeted me besides a nice tall blonde lady who was located at a front counter next to the La Mer counter. There was so much to see, but nobody was available to help. The beauty advisor at Charlotte Tillbury was the only person who even "looked" busy or who seemed to be knowledgeable about the products. I had a meeting with the cosmetics manager here even though I clearly informed her in advance I was still not well, I still trudged my way out and somehow made it, waited almost an hour until I was told by a beauty advisor not to bother anymore because I was late arriving and to just go back home! No direct messages received, no direct communication back, no replies were given back to my emails. Totally rudest, ill-mannered treatment I have ever received! Made me think why did I even bother coming? Was this supposed to be some kind of sick joke or something? read more

Came here Saturday the day before Mothers day to buy my mom perfume. There were many people and offered service to help me best choose my perfume. So I decided to buy the Chanel perfume and I had some rewards which they were having technical difficulties pulling it up and it took forever for them to get my rewards and everything. I was waiting patiently and it took about a good 10-15 for them to get my rewards and pay for the item and I didnt even get samples. Like when you make $200 arent you supposed to get samples? I came here today with my mom to exchange a Michele watch that she purchased online. The mall is still closed but Bloomingdale's and Macy's are open. We were nervous going due to the whole pandemic situation, however this location felt very safe. All the associates had masks on as well as the customers. Every couple of feet are Purell stations. We were so pleased to have the help of the watch sales associate named Ferri. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. My mom winded up purchasing another Michele watch instead and Ferri made the whole process such a breeze! This Bloomingdales is ethereal! A must if you're on vacation in Manhattan looking to shop for high end designers like Louis and Gucci. We popped in on a whim and our senses were enveloped in the luxurious perfumes and endless "stand alone-esque" designer stores within the multi-story building. There is a men's section that has their own, amongst other brands, Louis Vuitton store dedicated solely to men's items. I would love to see this place poppin' around Christmas! read more

Came here on a Saturday for some shopping and lunch. Shopping is always a pleasant experience. Not many sales associates to help and cater to you as there are in the city, but still a seamless experience. Forty Carrots restaurant here is very good. I got a chicken sandwich- cranberry nut bread slices hold in the salad. It's the perfect lunch sandwich and tastes so fresh. They also have a full service juice bar from which I ordered a carrot, apple, beet juice.The person making my juice brought it over to my table when it was ready, which was a nice touch. I was a decent size and was well balanced. Lastly, had the famous plain frozen yogurt. You can never go wrong with this. Nice and cool, creamy and tart flavor. read more

I came here in search of a Canada Goose jacket. This store had the most Canada Goose stock out of all the department stores in Roosevelt Field. Nordstrom had like, one jacket left, and Neiman Marcus stock was pretty limited. When I was here, they had the Victoria, the Trilium, and the Whistler. They had some other styles but I didn't have time to try on the other coats. The Victoria was a bit on the shorter side but really slimming. The Trillium was more on the poofy side. The Whistler is incredibly long (past my knees) but very warm. I'm 5'4" about 115-120 pounds and I got an XS. Customer service was great here too. read more

The worst customer experience! I placed an order online for curbside pickup, got there at 7pm, checked in, waited almost 40 minutes and no merchandise! No one ever brought out my order. She's been in the business so long that she's not bothered whether you buy a item or not. She's definitely a great saleswoman, she's knowledgable and you currently find her working in Fendi. It seems that gone are the days that you enter Bloomingdales and their sales staff greets you, (with a smile) helps you with purchases, find the right size whilst you're in the dressing room etc!! I must say all their associates that I have happened upon in the last two (2) months have been LAZY, SNOOTY, OBLIVIOUS, SAD, SLOW, UNENTHUSIASTIC---- I even had to ask 2 of their associates if they're salaried works or commissioned. I was most shocked to hear that they are paid on commission. Hhhhhhmmmm !!---- interesting. I've never seen commissioned workers behave this way especially when you're purchasing 10 items each over $150 to $675 a piece .... hhhhmmm!! ... SHOCKING to me. Ok, IMHO there is only one and a half Bloomingdale's. The one being on 59th street and the half being in Soho [if you ever shopped there, you will know exactly what I mean]. It should be called Bloomingdale's Loft, but I digress. The Bloomingdale's in the Roosevelt Field Mall, is diet Bloomingdale's. In many ways similar to Bloomingdale's 59 but not exactly the same. It also leaves a bad aftertaste in your mouth. The service is ok for Long Island but not great. The clothing selection is so so, there is a heavy emphasis on the junior lines [I guess that is because it is located in a mall]. Their shoe and lingerie departments are dismal in their selection. The cosmetic counters are ok as far as selection, but do you really want make-up tips from a Long Island Mall Rat? I think not. read more

If I could rate this no stars it would suffice. Very poor , distasteful human relations and managerial skills for college recruitment and Central Human Resources in Long Island City, Long Island. I am writing this review as a concerned citizen and mother. My daughter interviewed for a internship with Bloomingdales NYC and was scheduled to interview via Zoom in which the person who interviewed her did not have the decency to have her camera on and claims she had technical difficulties. My daughter interviewed for this about a month ago with no response from the interviewer or company. I find this to be insensitive and unprofessional. Additionally my daughter was being observed through zoom video and she did not get to meet the person visually who was interviewing her. I really try not to bring race in to things but I believe she was being racially profiled and that is the reason she did not get the internship after receiving word by a second party a month later. I know that my daughter is more than qualified for this position, not because she is my daughter but because she has the ample education and knowledge, skill to accomplish whatever Bloomingdales would set out for her to do. My family and I grew up on shopping at this shopping establishment but will think twice about shopping there in the future. Very rude staff .gave me the wrong receipt for the dress and when went into the store to return it they told me it was a wrong tag and wrong receipt and they said they do not accept it. It was their fault and they couldn't admit it. Besides that they said the dress was not clean and they were tring to cover up their mistake. Women's Shoes: Before I begin with the Shoe section here, I would like to mention Blake at Jo Malone. Blake is just lovely. If i were to review just Jo Malone, I would give him 5 stars overall. he is friendly, helpful, never pushy and extremely generous with samples. He wants you to leave happy and you always do. Attempt 1: (early 2013) Wedding shoe shopping, could not get helped. Attempt 2: (mid 2013) Went in to try and buy a pair of Sam Edelman's. I knew what I wanted. The person who was helping me took about 20 min to come out with the shoe. I needed a different size. 40 min later I, the person never emerged from the room. I asked for help but no one else would help me. They said I was already being helped. I asked them to go to the back to look for him, they said they couldn't find him. He eventually came out and said they didn't have the size. That's 60 min waiting to try on 1 shoe. Attempt 3: (4/13/14) I went to try on 3 sandals with a friend. She asked for 1 pair of sandals (totaling 4 pairs). The person helping us brought out 3 pairs of shoes. 2 of mine and my friends... totally wrong shoe. When we finally flag him down later, we ask about the other shoe and he's like, we don't have it. Well thanks for the heads up. Whenever I come here, I am usually looking for something specific. I don't come to Bloomingdales just to look around; I do that at Nordstrom. Therefore, I come here whenever I'm looking for something that I can't find at Nordstrom. The service is horrible. No one is ever at their little kiosk/desk things. It's impossible to find someone to help you. The staff has no idea what they're doing. I came here asking for the new Rebecca Minkoff bikeshare backpack (it was made just for Bloomingdales and there had been a huge release party just a week prior) and the woman said she had no idea what that was. Come on! This backpack was a big deal, and she was the Rebecca Minkoff sales associate. How do you not know your own products? It took forever to track her down too. I wandered all around the bottom floor looking for her, only to find her gossiping with another sales associate. When I asked her for help, she glared at me. How incredibly rude and unprofessional. Also, the sales associates never take me seriously. I understand that I'm only 18, but that doesn't mean that I don't have any money to spend on the products. It's hard to get anyone to help me. I've always thought that Nordstrom was better than Bloomingdales. ANY place is better than this Bloomingdales. Whenever I go to Nordstrom, I always end up buying more than I mean to. Went in to buy a diaper bag for a baby shower gift. On recommendation from one of the very nice ladies who worked there, I ended up with a STUNNING MZ Wallace bag. It wasn't even a brand that I was particularly looking at, but she totally zeroed in on the perfect bag. While I was there, I was constantly asked if I was being helped and everyone was very courteous. Probably the best place to get men's clothing in the whole mall. Macy's is great but crowded. Nordstrom's selection is very small and very expensive. Bloomie's has a nice selection of high end stuff and moderately priced menswear. The store itself is fairly easy to navigate. Its never crowded inside. The parking lot out front is a clusterfuck. You can valet park for free if you have a bloomingdales card. I have one but I do not use it, but I do use it to valet park for free. Its centrally located at the mall so it makes for a great place to park to explore the rest of the mall. read more

I have been a loyalist client at Bloomingdales for over 20 years- Never have I been so mistreated than last night .after a long day at work I ran in the store to get 5 gifts - everyone was super friendly Knowledgeable and helpful . I went to gift wrapping --a new crew of women - very nice , respectful and helpful. I have been a client for many years so much so that I know the gift wrapping paper and the accessory that attaches to it. The papers on the wall that Hanukkah and Christmas but I needed birthday and baby shower paper . From what ever paper they had in stock I selected and the wrapping proceeded . Then the supreme supervisor Gia comes along and starts to reprimand the new employee in front of me - as if I blind or deaf -that the accessory she placed on my baby shower gift was NOT correct - the baby shower paper THAT accessory belonged to was NOT available - so GIa the supervisor would rather keep the accessory in storage than try to satisfy a customer . She was snippy -with scissors like tongue and proceeded to walk to the back and crack jokes about me- again as if I can't hear or see her .im very sad to say that a loyalist account doenst mean much to Gia but what does it mean for Bloomingdale's ?! So if your running in a store last minute to get a gift avoid Gia in the gift wrapping department . To the new employees at the department thank you for trying to make my gift look presentable - even if the accessory didn't belong with that's specific paper. Have a bone to pick... I've shopped at Bloomies before and never had complaints. The store is usually well kept, and not as expensive as one may think (for high end). The staff has been courteous and professional... that is until last Saturday July 17, 2010. There's a perfume called 'Sexual Femme' that seems to fly off the shelves and a friend of mine and avid shopper usually receive alerts whenever the perfume is in stock. Another friend was interested but didn't have a Bloomingdales where she lived so a bottle was SUPPOSED to be held in reserve so that I could go and pick it up. My name was left with the saleslady. Simple right, wrong! I make my way past the wonderful cosmetics section and was directed towards fragrances. A pinch faced B (condescending frozen smile) went to grab the largest bottle (which came with shower gel and purse sized eau de toilet in which she sprayed a few times into the air?!!!?) of the perfume-I asked her if it was a certain priced bottle and she just told me it was the only one they had left. She rang it up and the price wasn't what I had in store. I tried explaining the situation but she shot me down saying "...we don't *really* hold items like that. After a few hours it goes back on the shelf!" Way different from the day long reserve I had. Whatever, I left. I told my friend about it and she was livid! She went to that store to complain only to find out that 2 bottles of the size I wanted were held in a drawer! Lazy bums didn't try looking for it at all. I worked for Bloomingdales years ago and have always had tons of respect for the company. Last week when I went in to return an online order and buy more for an upcoming vacation, I had an awful and demeaning experience. After having an employee at the return area with no line and her back turned to me until I had to chime in to catch her attention, I went to mens contemporary to purchase an AMI sweatshirt that I had seen online. I asked the gentleman at the counter to confirm the price(the sweatshirt was about three feet from his counter) to which he responded "I don't know what you're saying, just bring it over man" while speaking to a friend that did not work there. I got the sweatshirt and brought it over to the counter. At this point the friend came over as well and said "yo seriously? Trying to look like Barney?!" Commenting on both the color of the shirt and my weight. After turning red, I said "haha that's what I was going for" and put the sweatshirt back, not once did the employee intervene. The friend then continued saying "oh come on bro, you should cop that!" After hearing the $270 price as the employee continued looking amused and unbothered. I was ready to purchase the sweatshirt when I saw it online but was so uncomfortable and insulted from the situation that I left quickly and spent my money at Nordstrom.
