We found things that you can't find at your local grocery, such as Amish cheeses, fresh churned butter and Amish meats. I also bought canning supplies and picked up a few pointers on new easy canning lids. We also ordered sandwiches on fresh made Amish bread. Sandwiches are under $4 and you select your meat, cheese and toppings. I had a turkey sandwich and the bread was so soft that it melted in my mouth. I couldn't walk by the pastries without buying a fry cake - black raspberry to be exact. The shelves were filled with cream filled pies, cinnamon bread and cheese breads. My fry cake was delicious coated in a sugar glaze. They sell everything from bait and fishing supplies to salt for the water softener. The staff is friendly, though quiet. They do not accept credit cards or any form of electronic payment. We paid cash. There is plenty of parking, including space for your horse and buggy.

The sandwiches are absolutely delicious and so fresh. All of the baked goods and sweet treats that…read morewe tried (whoopie pies, fudge, buckeyes, jams/jellies) were absolutely amazing. The prices were all reasonable to actually low - which is unheard of these days. Overall, we loved the place and plan to go back next time we visit the area!

I absolutely love the soaps!! I have eczema and this soap is the only soap I will use. What I love…read morethe most is that I can now use pretty smelling soaps and I have no skin irritation at all. I just got my new shipment and the free peppermint bars of soap smell amazing. I hope they become a regular scent. I would live a spearmint one. Thank you so much for an amazing product at a reasonable price with unbelievably terrific customer service!!

It's really easy to get to GMS right off the interstate, and it's about as quaint as you could imagine. I pulled into the parking lot, past a large, fenced-in pasture filled with -- you guessed it -- goats! And I started in the front building, right off the parking lot, which sells goat milk soaps and other wonderfully scented products. The walls were lined with soaps of so many scents. I ended up going with two to give as gifts. I was impressed with the price too: $6 each. They also carried lotion and other skin care products. Next I went around back to the other building, where the food is kept. The delicious, delicious food. Here you'll find gelato, yogurt and cheese as well as great options for lunch. When I stopped the special was pizza. I wish I would have had enough time to eat, but instead I bought some of the chevre goat milk cheese and feta marinated in herbs de Provence to bring home with me. Also add to my wish list that I wish I could have had time to go on a tour of the property. I'll have to do that the next time I travel north through Indiana.
