We recently moved to the area and the house has RealFyre gas logs. I spoke with someone at this business, since they sell them, regarding the flame not being balanced across the length of the logs. I asked if they service them....a simple question. I was told I had to be a customer and that would take submitting paperwork, etc., etc. He asked if I was a propane customer of theirs and I said no, it's natural gas. He got pretty short at that point and said it would be $600 (absolutely ridiculous) to come out and clean them. I hung up and called a local heating and plumbing company, Brown's. They were extremely cordial and said they would come out, inspect and clean them for what should be no more than $150. When I replace these logs it certainly won't be with Blossman. read more

We started service last year. First they put the tank directly on the asphalt (not on blocks) so it is slowly sinking. Second they must have taken us off automatic delivery (although it still says automatic online) our delivery is (was) scheduled for Jan 21. I call and get an automatic response "you will get your delivery _____" and it does not come. I am not going to beg a company to give me business. I switched this morning and requested they pick up their tank. read more

I have never written a YELP review before, but had to warn people how poor the service is from this company. Do not sign up with them, because once you do they own your tank and you are at their mercy! My situation is similar to others here, I've been waiting 2 weeks for gas (been without heat for 5 days now). They don't answer their phone so you have to wait 30-45 minutes to talk to someone at their corporate service. Each time I get through they tell me I'm on the schedule for that day or the next. That is all they say they can tell me & the 5 times they told me that no one shows. I just called a 6th time they told me I am on the schedule for today (not holding my breath). They have to be one of the most incompetently run business, I would be far less upset if they told me there was a 2 week wait, but doesn't seem like they have a clue how to handle deliveries or customer service. read more

Blossman Gas are thieves in my opinion. Eight years ago we moved into our house on Averys Creek Road and inherited a Blossman propane tank and the account that went along with it. The weird pay schedule with the account had us paying $30 a month throughout the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall regardless of our gas usage. And, our gas usage was minimal as we only used propane for our gas log fireplace, which we used rarely. I started researching gas log fireplaces I found that ours was unvented. It was built like that when the house was constructed in 2008. Turns out an unvented gas fireplace produces an amount of carbon monoxide which flows into the house. I decided that this was a health risk that I did not want to take. So, I contacted Blossman and requested that they remove their tank as I would no longer use the fireplace. I informed them that the tank was full, and that I had no intention of using any of that gas. I was informed that they would remove the tank, but would only reimburse me for half of the gas in the tank. I waited for several weeks for them to settle this out and reimburse me for the gas. Hearing nothing from them, I sent them an email requesting the settlement. I got a phone call from a Blossman employee informing me that indeed they would reimburse me for only half of the value of the gas, but they also would charge me around $180 for the removal of the tank. Is this fair? I think not. I think Blossman is hiding behind a facade of Good Citizenship what with their free Classic Car Shows in the Summer and sponsorship of the local minor league baseball team, but in my opinion, they are thieves ripping off their customers with a byzantine payment schedule and sticking those customers at every opportunity, opportunities which are determined by Blossman. I honestly think they should be investigated for, at least, unfair, if not illegal business practices. read more

I am a new customer and so far they have been less than stellar. But they did finally call me back after several attempts to reach them. One tip, if you call and get a recording telling you that you are Nth in the queue, that means the call is being transferred to a generic call center that doesn't know anything. Hang up and keep trying until you get a real person or email them. read more

Worst company ever! No integrity & flat outright lies to their customers on a daily basis. We honestly don't have to take this as customers. We called 3-4 weeks in advance to get our propane refilled to initially be told someone will be out Monday of next week. Since that time, we've made calls to the office 3 x's a week and we've been told 1) running a few days behind 2) you are on the list 3) our driver attempted delivery but couldn't service due to roads being washed out in your area - btw, the roads were not washed out in our area 4) another time during these 3-4 weeks, our driver didn't have a long enough hose 5) I don't want to hear the issues, I can't go backwards and the list goes on. It's just amazing that they are operating this way and still in business. Folks, for those of you experiencing these issues in Asheville, please: 1) Call their Corporate office in Mississippi & report the problems 2) File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau 3) Review your contract for breach 4) File a complaint or reach out to the North Carolina Attorney General about Blossman 5) File a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) who handles complaints related to unfair business practices 6) Reach out to National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) and file a complaint, they are a member of NPGA 7) Get yourself an attorney. They act like a monopoly and reading the issues, customers are at their mercy. They told us, it's been like this since Hurricane Helene. Hummm, we obtained propane months ago and while we had to call several times, it didn't stretch out to 3-4 weeks. Are you telling me Blossman, you've not been able to come up with a logical strategy since Helene to service your customers or at a minimum give them an honest answer? If you have more customers than you can adequately service professionally, maybe you need to do something about it! You pay for this service, you are their customer, don't let yourself be treated this way. Take an action or pursue multiple actions as I've referenced above. Blossman, stop the lying to your customers, and do the ethical thing by them. Otherwise you don't deserve to be servicing any customers. Signed, Enough is Enough- Don't be a victim! I've been with Blossman about 5 years, but will be going elsewhere. I've set here for 4 days, in freezing weather with NO GAS AND NO IDEA WHEN IM GETTING ANY. So do your research before signing up with Blossman. I'm cold, hungry, and can't even shower, cause I have NO GAS. THANKS Blossman. read more

Pulled into the lot spacious easy to navigate lot, was immediately assisted by a friendly and knowledgeable associate. He filled the tank while I listened to some great 80's music playing outside. He handed me a slip, I went inside the very cool showroom, paid the super friendly girl at the counter and left. Simply couldn't have been any easier! read more

Have been without gas since 12/23. They took me off of automatic delivery without notifying me. i have been on the list for delivery for 2 weeks. Kim in the office is rude, condescending and has no customer service skills. my delivery was scheduled for Wednesday and it's now Friday when I called and spoke with her on Wednesday to ask when I could expect delivery she told me they were running a day or two behind. then she started yelling at me and interrupting me when I tried to explain that I have been without hot water, my stove and fireplace which I use for heating; then she put me on hold and never came back. I have been more than patient and am trying to get eta on delivery so I'm now on hold and the recording says "all of our representatives are assisting other customers. my position in the que is more than 20". Just told after 20 minutes that I'm now #17. Ive been a customer since moving to NC in 2016 and the service has deteriorated. I will be looking for another gas provider. read more

We have been waiting to have gas line installed to our furnace for over a month. It has been scheduled three times and they have yet to show up. All sorts of excuses. If it were up to me I would go elsewhere but my husbands dairy farm has a four tank contract with them. I certainly would NOT recommend this company but he says he can't afford to switch now so for now we sit on a brand new furnace we can't use and shiver. read more

HORRIBLE!! The customer service rep Kim is the rudest person I have ever dealt with regarding a company that brings you a monthly service. Without a single phone call they removed my credit card from the system. Didn't contact me, then she lied through her teeth saying she did, through company email (to cover her @ss most likely). Then the following month terminated my account with yet another simple email. I hired this company for all my gas needs over the past 5 years. Installs, fuel lines, etc. Thousands of dollars. What an abhorrent company to pull this stuff on a paying customer with the means to pay. Why my credit card was removed from the system I will never know but I can just imagine what they are doing to less fortunate customers right now during the pandemic. Rude customer service. Charging $70 for not using enough gas (a hidden service fee in thier contract) in addition to $70/year tank rent means I'm paying $140 plus $3/gal means I paid $260 for 40 gallons of gas. I can get the same 40 gal at ACE for $102. read more

Entirely unprofessional, unreliable and inconsistent. I've spoken to about 4 different people since my account was created and tank requested. I've been canceled on several times without notice until day of. My business should not be an afterthought. If you promise a service, complete it. I've been without gas for weeks and considering they've received several hundred dollars in initial payment months ago, I honestly feel taken advantage of at this point. If I could rate this company a " 0" I would..my parents have been with this company for over 20 years, and all my dad wanted to do was get back on a payment plan after paying in full the past 6 years. My dad has been unemployed for 2 years due to a degenerative muscle disease and getting to where he can't hardly move, and is working on getting disability. My mom currently pays all the bills..either way, they were still paying customers ready to set up a payment plan with an initial payment..then David (Manager at Blossman) had the audacity to tell my father that if he didn't have the money to pay his bills, then he doesn't need to get gas with them. A.) Nobody said anything about not paying them. B.) My parents bills and how he pays them is NOT his business. He was extremely rude, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful to my father with no compassion or empathy to people that need help especially in this pandemic. Absolutely unacceptable!!! It seems to me like they need a change in management and personnel. They need someone that knows how to run a business and values excellent Customer Service! read more
