I recently hired Blossom and Basket Boutique to provide flowers for my brother's surprise 25th anniversary party. I chose Gerber Daisies because they are bright and happy. These were the most gorgeous Gerbers I have ever seen! They added many other interesting pale green accent stems which made the arrangements stunning! They were delivered a day early due to my error, and I allowed the party for that day use them. They were just as perfect the next day and through the next week! The guests loved the flowers so much that they couldn't stop talking about them. We gave the smaller arrangements away as party favors, and those were equally as intricate as the larger ones! It is quite awesome to work with folks that you can just feel they love what they do. The products and services they provide always reflect this love. Blossom & Basket exemplifies these things and they made our wedding look absolutely amazing! My wife Beth and I worked with Rene from the shop and she was wonderful. The arrangements she put together for our wedding at Shade Trees and Evergreens on September 22nd, 2013 were just perfect. We loved every plant, flower and personal touch that she added to our celebration. It was hard to believe how stunning and reasonably priced the bouquets, hanging plants, table settings and boutonnieres were. We do not claim to know a whole lot about flowers but when everyone at the function kept mentioning how beautiful things were, our only conclusion is that Rene hit an absolute home run with everything she was able to do. She even helped me with a self- inflicted boutonniere malfunction right before I was scheduled to walk the aisle. Our photographer went searching for help and found her just in time as she was about 2 minutes away from leaving the site. In a way, she not only helped make the day, she saved the day, rushing to my rescue; and with surgeon-like precision was able to expertly resuscitate the flower. It was not only on the wedding day that Rene and Blossom & Basket proved to be an excellent choice. Throughout the entire process she was very responsive to our questions and helped us to stay within our limited budget. She responded to every one of our emails within a matter of hours. Not only were her arrangements unforgettable, she is one of the most pleasant people you can meet and she is a professional at what she does. As a matter of fact when we visited the Blossom & Basket shop in Mt Airy, Maryland to drop off some milk glass vases to be used in our wedding, we found that everyone there was pleasant and very willing to help make floral dreams come to life. The delivery was two days late. Paid extra to have delivered by 1:00 pm Saturday. The flowers were not delivered until the next Monday. The order was for multi-colored, but were only white and yellow. Claimed they did not have additional colors. The order was through Just Flowers and they gave such a run-around. Kept asking if we were SURE they hadn't been delivered. I believe it was Just Flowers fault, but these were for my 50th Birthday from my mother. If this is the fault of Blossom and Basket Boutique in Mt. Airy, than I am very disappointed in a local business. If the fault lies with Just Flowers, I would recommend NEVER using that service. They were unprofessional, rude and did not live up to a single thing we paid for. read more

I've been working with this company for my wedding, and I have to say they are fantastic! Thus far they have been extremely helpful, detail oriented, and everyone there is so friendly. They are all very quick in getting back to me via email and phone and most importantly, Rene makes some of the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. When I didn't like a flower she planned to use in my bouquet, she was quick and very willing to give me other choices. The only slight negatives were that they are a tiny bit expensive, because they do deal in flowers, and that they have a confusing email arrangement-( when I email I do not really know which of the three I am talking to because it is combined) also my fiancé and I were not completely educated on the different types of flowers and had to google them. However, on the positive, they have really tried to work within our small budget. (For my bouquet, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, five boutonnieres, two wrist corsages, mantle arrangement, and 10 tables with two arrangements each was about $700.00) and once we put down our deposit, she gave us the actual size sample bouquet and boutonniere to keep! My fiancé and I were so happy! I've learned to just trust in Rene because she is definitely an expert at what she does and I know she won't disappoint! Overall, I cannot wait for my big day because the flowers will definitely be what they should- the centerpiece! read more
