Though I can't argue that this school prepares you for the Washington State Test and is well taught, I must inform you that the main instructor (Doris Akinlosotu) is a real bitch. I will address that in my previous review I stated that Blossom has awesome instructors, that is true. When I wrote that, I was informing the community of the general staff. I was not referring to Doris. She was always very rude, she has even YELLED at my classmates. I took this class over a year ago, maybe even close to two, and didn't sign up for the state test at the Lakewood Blossom location until just a few months ago (I had moved out of country for a bit). I called the Lakewood Blossom location on the test day at around 6:30am (my test was at 8am), I had a question of whether or not we were required to bring our own materials (pencils, pens, etc. - other than identification and such). I had googled the Lakewood Blossom location number and called that exact number, and Doris answered, very angrily, yelling at me about how I woke her up out of her sleep and to never call that early again. She continued to yell, asking what I want, and I proceeded with my question. She then yelled, "yes bring your own stuff" and hung up. So my point is, she put her number as the Lakewood Blossom location number, or at least put her number as the forward if that location didn't answer, and then got angry with me for it. If anyone is looking to start there Nursing career, then look no further because blossom is one of the best schools that anyone can attend, reason being that it is convenient for closeness, especially if you live in the Lakewood area, cheaper than any other school online. "Trust me I have done my research, you get to experience the classroom of a life time,the instructor( Doris) is approachable and very easily going not to mention very patient, takes time out on her busy schedule to work on a one on one basis if need be, for further understanding of the training program. Having gone to blossom l have learned a whole lot more than expected and managed to kill three birds with one stone by obtaining my c.n.a license, C.P.R card and HIV certification for just $605 I intend to go further with my education and will soon be enrolling in the nurses delegation program I really think this is an awesome school, you have nothing to loose, and more to gain with Blossom Nursing Assistant Training school. It was very easy to sign up. The instructions on their website are to a tee what you need to do and when you go in to sign up, Ashley, the front desk receptionist is very helpful. The class itself is very straight forward. It is fast paced but that is only because you are taking a quarter worth of information and pushing it into 2 weeks but Doris and Jerry have been good teachers and they make sure you understand before going on, so if you don't say anything while in class they are going to continue with the content. Be prepared to practice on your own because there is really no time during the class to go back and practice skills like blood pressure or pulse, but then again thats the sacrifice you take when you choose this school and not go through a community college. They prepare you for the state exam the best they possibly can and as long as you have the discipline to actually go in and practice your skills, you should have no problem passing. read more

I just completed my CNA training at blossom in Lakewood. It's a very fast paced program but well worth it. I have never met a more compassionate set of instructors to learn from( Dorris is amazing, and genuinely kind hearted and funny, even to I, one of her three "bad girls " Mrs. Jerry is amazing too)They are not only compassionate about CNA work but also about you learning and learning it right! They are very well known in the medical field and for good reason. They allow you to come back and practice in there building (which is a state testing site) as much as you need to after completing the course. I loved this program and will recommend to everyone I know seeking a rewarding career there is so much more good things to say however it would take to much time so I end it with Go To Blossom it's affordable, convenient (state testing site your familiar with) and your instructors are compassionate in this rewarding career. read more

Better Business Bureau COMPLAINT !!!! A shrewish woman This is the worst school I have ever seen. The instructor Doris Akinlosotu did not listen when her students were speaking and could not answer any questions when asked. Also she was extremely unclear when it came to where the clinical part of the course was to be held. The address she gave was Avalon HealthCare at 135 S 336th Street Federal Way WA 98003 (Near Tacoma WA). When I told her of the difficulty I had trying to arrive at that location around 5:45 AM - from The international district in Seattle by way of public transportation - she became extremely rude and insulting. She is extremely unprofessional and has extremely poor English communication skills. When I asked for a refund to the course she used offensive language and hung up the phone. This is the best nursing school that I have ever been to. Miss Doris is the best teacher that I can ask for and it makes it better that she is an RN teaching the course with plenty of experience. The course was fun And exciting and easy to comprehend we go through things in the lab and practice goes exactly as they are to be performed on the actual state exam this school is A+. Ashley the front desk receptionist is the best and she will help you with whatever is needed to help you pass the school is exceptional and I will highly recommend it to anybody that's trying to further their education in the medical field. I have never been above a C average in school through out my life. Doris and Dawn made it possible for me to graduate their course in the 90% isle. They were very good about explaining what we needed to know and to excel as CNA's. I am proud to say that I graduated from Blossom Nursing Assistant Training School. I strongly recommend their educational program to everyone. It is 3 weeks, and it is tough, but they make sure that you are ready to do the job and to do it really well. Love Blossom so much. I've learned a lot from Doris and Jeri. They're the best Instructors ever... They will make sure you know what you're doing specially the vital signs. It's a fast paced if you will take a weekend class, but then it's up to the student how they will adjust to it.. Just completed my CNA training and state exam through Blossom. I had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone. Training with Blossom will prepare you very well for the state exam and teach you the skills you need that will help you on the job. Most CNA employers in the area know of Blossom and it is a respected program. The instructors are thorough and have a lot of experience. Blossom has a weekend program for their CNA certification that worked great for my needs. I was able to take the class, finish clinical, and still go to school during the week. They advised us repeatedly what to do in order to pass both the writing and skills exams. I was able to practice about 5 times before my exams and passed both with flying colors just a week ago.
