I had the kind of curls that people would stop me on the street, down below my bra line... after this blowout, I had to cut six inches off my hair ... and I STILL have straight pieces (pictures below.) I made an appointment for 4:10pm, Saturday 10/18/25 (I wanted 4:30, but Arielle said that was too late.) so I showed up at 4pm, and waited until 4:35! For my blowout with Glaucia (I didn't complain ... not about waiting, or EVEN WHEN SHE BURNED MY SCALP WITH THE BLOWDRYER.) Blowout looked pretty good, I left it in for a week, until Saturday 10/25/25. Went to yoga, where I kept smelling sulfur (turned out it was MY HAIR...) So I went home and washed it. AND NO CURLS. I FREAKED OUT!!! 40 years of occasional blowouts... NEVER BEFORE!! Have my curls not come back immediately after washing!) So, I think... maybe I just need to wash it again on Sunday (the next day...) a little more curls in the middle and six inches of straight'tails.' And all straight around my face. On Monday I was freaking out... I just moved here and had a job interview... thank GOD, I found Khaliman Salon (the curl whisperer.) he came in on his DAY OFFF!! He said it was severe heat damage; cut the 6 inches off And told me I'd need to cut more (which is true.) From there, I went to my interview and then to Blowout To Paris. The other young lady who was there the day I got my blowout gasped when she saw me... 'what happened to your long hair?' I said: you guys burnt it and I had to cut it. 'Let me give you a treatment! She says... 'Please! Deep condition...?' ME: 'No, I said... I really don't want you guys to touch my hair again; I want to speak to the owner.' Got Arielle on the phone, (the manager? Turns out she and her husband Ron actually OWN the salon.) I told her the whole story/ situation... said' your stylist ruined my hair; all I want is a refund.' 'You're trying to shake me down!' She says... 'Why didn't you come here first?' (Because I had an interview and was on a time budget and didn't want my hair ruined further, maybe?) In the meantime, her husband Ron (who's listed as the owner in Florida records) swears he isn't... yall, crazy town...is there the THIRD time I stop in. He tells me a story... that my hair couldn't be heat damaged... he'd even TRIED that with a client he didn't like in Israel!! 'And it didn't work .' (I will tell this story under oath!) Lordddd... crazy town indeed. FINALLY, they agree to give me a refund, 3 weeks later after multiple visits and phone calls: by now, I'm angry. I said 'what about the $150 haircut I had to get?' I admit to using salty language.. and 6 weeks later, NOTHING. If Arielle IS indeed the owner, she's never there. Their employees don't know what they're doing. Run like the wind. Bottom line: 1) Hair (and scalp) burnt to a crisp. 2) had to cut 6 inches off my hair for $150. 3) no apology, no refund... treated like a lowlife when I asked for my money back. 4) Ron flat out lied to me about owning the salon (repeatedly.) Arielle' works from home' and is never there. 5)... AGAIN, no even ATTEMPTS to rectify the situation. I have NEVER written a review like this in my life. I was raised 'don't say anything if you have nothing good to say.' But these people need to not be in business. Avoid at all costs... curly girls, go see Khaliman in Boca for everything curly, including blowouts!!

Last time I dyed it was over 10 years ago and it was a nightmare experience. Giana technically did a good job. My hair was balanced nicely. I did ask for caramel/honey coloring and it came out much lighter. I know this can be for several reasons and color is something that is dependent on how your hair reacts. But I just wish it had been like discussed like hey it's looking a lot lighter but it looks really good etc. Mostly there was no talking like at all throughout the appointment. I tried to make conversation and it just fell flat. I ended up just reading my book instead assuming maybe she just wasn't chatty but then she seemed chatty with the other stylists. When I was done she seemed like extremely happy to be done with me. She never even was like wow it looks so nice look how it came out. And she knew how apprehensive I was about the appointment coming in and that I had a previously horrendous experience. Also when I saw her after my appointment like while I was paying she seemed like 10x more energetic and happy so it was weird she just like really didn't like me I guess. ‍ So, technically it was done fine. But it wasn't a friendly experience. It was very mechanical and when I think of a salon I think of a friendly comfortable place that makes me feel welcome and this just did not have it. She asked me about my hair and actually took everything I told her into consideration. My hair took longer than management expected and even when they asked her multiple times if she would be done so she could take another client she didn't start rushing to finish my hair which I appreciate. It's horrible feeling when you try to get a service and they rush you out just to get another client done. I will suggest that maybe there be an option for clients to choose a longer appointment time especially for those of us who have longer and thicker hair. I never signed a disclosure or authorization for the salon to keep my card on file and/or charge it again in the future without my knowledge. We booked blowouts for a date a week later. I received the text message to confirm but wrote "cancel" because we were sick with Covid. Without my knowledge OR consent, the salon charged my American Express card $115. the ladies at the salon never told mw they were keeping my card on file. I told the manager Steve to remove my credit card and he said he would not. The ladies who work here were nothing but nice but the manager Steve was absolutely disgusting and so rude. He was degrading on the phone and I will never return to the salon solely due to the way the manager treated me and charged my card for more than one service especially without my consent or knowledge!!!
