A Friend recommended me to take my daughter here for her birthday. Called to make an appointment and was put on hold for 11 minutes.. Had to hang up and call back, finally made 2 appointments for 3 pm right before my daughters party which was fine because we were planning on heading there right after. I had requested for 2 side by side appointments and when I walked in, it was tiny and overcrowded.. Nowhere to sit... Kids screaming and playing on their iPads, receptionist couldn't handle the line of people waiting..after waiting about 15 minutes to be attended to.. A hair stylist asks me if I have an appointment then seats my daughter and niece separately.. Not what I asked but addressed to her that I wanted them side by side to enjoy this experience only to receive a sigh and attitude from this young hair stylist who seemed frustrated with me because she couldn't seat them next to each other. My daughter and niece felt so uncomfortable that we left. Maybe this place may be good for others but for me, it was unpleasant right when I walked in. I walked in on a Thursday morning at 9am with a wet head, hoping they'd be able to take me on the spot, and they did. The receptionist was super professional and friendly, offering me something to drink and explaining the products to me. The blow out was decent...not the best I've had but good enough. The only complaint was that she put some product by Bumble & Bumble in my hair that literally smelled toxic. I wish she would have asked me before putting it in. As far as the place goes, you can tell that tohe owners put a lot of thought into the design and decor of the place, all the special touches and the use of (though not what they used on me) high quality products like Davines and Moroccan Oil. It also seems like they put some effort into customer I service training and internal marketing (ie they send a post-appointment survey) which indicates that this is a business that cares and wants to exceed expectations. Loved my experience at BND! I had an appointment at 2 pm and was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival, which for a beauty salon is extremely rare. My stylist was really sweet and replicated the hairstyle I had shown her a picture of. Also took a look at the rest if the stylist's work and everyone's hair was looking great! Definitely recommend to anyone and will be going back for sure. I hope my future experiences go just as smoothly. read more

I came to this place this past Wednesday because at times I do my nails next door. I get my hair blow-dried (at another place) every week and usually lasts a while as my hair is not oily at all. I decided to give it try since it was very convenient. I really wasn't in a hurry so I didn't mind waiting a few. I have to say the decor was beautiful! Finally, one of the stylists called me up and started washing my hair. As soon as she was washing my hair I knew it wasn't going to be a good experience. I felt like my 5 year old daughter was washing my hair. She wasn't really washing it, just lathering shampoo/conditioner on it with this really soft touch! When she was done, I didn't feel like my hair was clean at all. Then I went to the chair. After she brushed out my hair she (I am not kidding) put 5 different products on it! Horrible. When the blow-dry was done and after putting even more product I felt like I had to run home and wash it. Needless to say I had to wash it the next morning. Never gain!! Hopefully it was just the one lady I had and not all of them do the same. read more

I've been to the blow dry bar numerous times and have always been satisfied with the way my hair has come out-- Every person who has done my hair has taken their time and been incredibly professional. HOWEVER they need to pay some more detail to the scheduling and logistics. Last week I had an appointment for makeup to be done immediately following my hair blow dry----I made the appointment 3 weeks prior. I confirmed the appointment before I came, and then again when I checked in. Yet when I finished getting my hair blown out, the make person had just started with another customer--- even tho they knew I was there--- I got a little "I'm sorry" and left without having it done. This place is a rip off and has misleading advertisements. I came in with washed hair that I dried myself using rollers at home. I came it to do the "dry on the fly" service which says they use hot tools on dry and washed hair for $25. However i was charged the full fee of $ 35 as if I had washed my hair because thy lightly blow dried then ironed my hair. It took way too long and my hair is frizzy. If you have curly hair, frizzy hair, thick hair...DONT COME HERE. Only if you hair straight hair already then you are good. Made appt online for 6:00 for my daughter and her upcoming graduation pics. Sat waiting till 6:35, no apology for making us wait but whatever. My daughter has very curly, very thick hair. Jennifer "the stylist" was finished with her in less than 40 min including shampoo. I thought it was odd, seeing as the other places I've taken her take at least 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The next MORNING her hair was already curling back up, by afternoon I had to re iron her hair. Not OK. I spent 42.00 with tip to have her hair done right and the next day had to spend 50 min doing it over. First and last time here. read more

I have mixed reviews on this place. Obviously going during the week in the middle of the day it's nice it's relaxing you're not rushed. But if you're going on a Saturday when there's other people you die of heat. There is no ventilation I don't know how the stylists are working. I hate when I book a specific person but end get whoever is available. But I have to say that there is a stylist named Joanna who is horrible. I watched her do what appeared to be curls on a girl and it honestly looks like she had never used a curling iron in her life. This is my favorite place in the world! I love the customer service and the stylists are very knowledgeable and friendly. I got the package after my 3rd visit since the manager (who is amazing) suggested. Whenever I feel that I need a little TLC without going to a hair salon, I stopped here and always got the best service. They are flexible in appointments and is very easy to do it through the app. You should try it, specially if you want to have a quality service without compromising your time and money! read more

I just used Blow N Dry Lounge for my wedding. Carmen was the one who helped me through this whole process and she was amazing! The girls who came to do the hair and makeup were absolutely the best. Blow drys are nice. But if you're looking forward to relaxing don't come here. I've been listening to everyone who works here speak about Hialeah and inside jokes very loudly. It would be best to bring headphones if you actually want to relax while you get your service done. On the bright side you might learn Spanish while you're here. read more

Don't get me wrong, the hairstylists and makeup artists are wonderful! BUT the receptionist rarely answer the phones, book people under the wrong accounts and, more times than not, mess up the appointments entirely. Every time I have a hair and makeup appointment on the same day, they manage to screw them up. Regardless if I make the appointment in person or on the phone it is wrong. My favorite place for a blow dry, the minute you walk in the service is amazing. They offer you from coffee to wine to mimosa. The crew that washes your hair is amazing. The makeup they put on you is drugstore makeup the brushes look so dirty and old! The lash application made one eye look open and the other closed because of the way the"makeup artist" positioned the lashes. You have to sit in an uncomfortable chair in everyone's way. I do not recommend this place for makeup! I told the manager my concerns and she did not make it right despite agreeing that the eyebrow makeup was too dark and harsh compared to my actual hair color. The contour was harsh brown lines on my face! I had to go straight home and wash it all off! It was a total waste of time and money. It took the "MUA" an hour for a horrible job and she admitted that she actually was not a makeup artist but a hair stylist. Their excuse was that the real mua was running late so she took care of me, which I would have rather waited for a job well done. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! read more

Cant express how happy i've been since Blow N Dry opened their doors. I've been coming almost once a week or every other week. Im always sporting fabulous blow out hair. Their products make my blow out last up to a week long which is amazing. And the mini massage you get when you get your hair washed is AWESOME!! But what they really won me over was the convenience of them opening their doors at 7am so i can go into work by 9am looking like a million bucks really is priceless. Haven't found anyone else that does that and for just $35 for my long hair is a great price....Such a cool place and the staff and owner are super friendly and will work around what you need or are wanting. I just got out of this salon extremely disappointed on how my friend and I were treated. When we called earlier to make an appointment, the owner of the place was the one that answered the phone and she was extremely rude to us, but we didn't make it a big deal about it, we just thought she might be having a bad day. When we finally get to our 7 o'clock appointment as I speak to their immature and not very professional receptionist, we mention to her how we would like the owners name so next time we can speak to her in person because we thought she was a little bit rough over the phone how she talked to us (not making a big deal about it.) She tells me sure no problem, as I go to wash my hair, the receptionist feels the need to tell her manager/owner of the salon to announce to her that one of her clients called her rude. The OWNER calls the Salon and asks to speak to us *we found this very shocking when the receptionist tells us the owner is on the phone asking for us). when we make it to the phone, this lady so called Jacky decides to start yelling and disrespecting us for telling her receptionist that I thought she was rude! I'm sorry but it doesn't get any more unprofessional than this. At this point we are caught blind sided because we never expected a phone call neither did we make a big deal about anything or where upset about the situation, we just had made a comment to the receptionist aside from any costumers or other workers. the Owner of the place after disrespecting us and yelling at us feels the need to kick us out of her salon when we were just trying to explain to her what had happened!! I'm still in shocked that someone with such bad - manners and so uneducated can run a salon. I was embarrassed, mistreated and humiliated by the owner of this place. I would never step a foot into this salon in my life again. I really really want this place to get it together because I do like coming here. They are super friendly and do great hair! Unfortunately with it's appointment problems I can't take the risk. They have a serious problem with appointments/scheduling inconsistency. I am a career gal and often times will come in at the early appointment before work. Sometimes I have a huge presentation or big client meeting. I walk in all dressed and hair in a bun. I can no longer risk it with this place. Several times I have been an early appointment only to learn that the stylist is on her way? Then 20 minutes passed my appointment time I am still sitting there and no stylist. I asked what on earth is going on and they said that maybe someone forgot to tell the stylist she had an early appointment. So I said what am I supposed to do? Simple operational fix if management will take the time to address the issue. It's not a one off problem since it's a recurring thing. It's happened to me several times and I am sure others. Hope they fix it. There's other blow dry places popping up all over town so there's a need to fix this if they want to keep client base. read more

This is such a great business! I went for the first time a week ago with an appointment made. I got my hair done by Heather and she is great! Super funny and easy to get along with and more importantly her styling skills are great! I go to her very early in the morning on saturdays since I have work but she is very bubbly and friendly even at 6:45am! The service is great. Hair wash is a dream since they really massage your scalp it is very relaxing. Their products smell great and I had a conditioning treatment done on me along with a lavender face sash that smelled GREAT. None of the staff is grumpy at these early hours which i think is super great! They offer water, coffee, and champagne as well. I've gotten my very thick long hair straightened. PIN STRAIGHT. That's what really caught my attention. They are GREAT and straightening even the craziest hair. It lasted my ten hour shift without getting any kinks or knots. I've also gotten it curled and the loose curls lasted another ten hour shift as well. I can't get over how well they style hair as well as how great it smells. It's a cute cozy little salon and I will be making this my weekly ritual! read more
