I'm giving this place 3 stars primarily because of the beautiful atmosphere and the excellent service. One thing I loved was the "Feed Me Tacos & Tequila" sign on the wall--it makes for a fun photo opportunity and fits the vibe of the restaurant perfectly. However, the tree branches partially block the sign, making it difficult to get a good picture. It would be great if they either lowered the sign or trimmed the branches so guests could fully enjoy it as a photo spot. Unfortunately, the cocktail was a major disappointment. It looked gorgeous, but it tasted like there was little to no alcohol in it. I'm a lightweight and typically feel the effects of a single drink, but I finished the entire cocktail and didn't feel anything. It was supposed to be made with mezcal tequila but I requested a substitution, so I'm not sure if that change was overlooked. The birria tacos were just okay. They were a bit dry and could have used more cheese for better flavor and texture. The salsa was also very thin and watery, which was underwhelming and didn't add much to the meal. Says they close at 12 and nothing specific about when they stop serving food. Walked in about 10:30 tonight and sat at the bar and asked for a menu. Bar tender tells me to wait and makes a couple drinks and then gives me a menu. I asked for a water and the bar tender puts his finger up and tells me to wait again haha. After I looked at the menu for a couple minutes the guy comes out from the kitchen with someone's food and then looks and tells me that the kitchen is closed already. This is the 2nd time I've been here and they've had some lame ass service. read more

I ordered the Margarita flight & quesa-birria tacos. The Margaritas could have use more alcohol they were very light, little to no alcohol in the Margaritas. It was $30 for 3 Margaritas and you can pick the flavors. It was not worth $30 since the lack of alcohol in the drinks. The quesa-birria were ok, the taco shells were so soft and not crispy. Have to eat the tacos with a fork. Could not pick them up without falling apart. My husband ordered the sushi / Mar Y Tierra. He found it to be very good. My parents ordered the Molcajete, they felt it was good but a little too spicy for them. At the end of our meal, we ordered the Churros with vanilla ice cream to share with the table and it was so good. The waitress we had was great and she deserves 5stars for the great customer service we received. She check on the table a few times and was friendly. If I'm in the area again, I would stop by again and not order any alcoholic drinks since the bartender has a very light pour. The inside of the restaurant is very nice for the area. read more

Tried this spot right after lunch time during the week. We were sat right away, our server was very friendly and helpful. I had camarones à la diabla with corn tortillas and they have home made tortillas. Food was great, camarones had a nice kick to them. Went her today. Stopped at 4pm and had The Tequila Frys for starters: fried with Crispy shrimp and drizzled with Siracha Mayo. It was GOOD!. Lupita our server was very good. She made me a nice fresh cup of Coffee for me after my meal, thank you ! WE decided to share an order of their molcajete I ate to fast and my wife was upset. Hey she got just a many shrimp as I did ;) . Down in Los Banos old town.. parking is tight but we were less then a minute walk. Fresh made Tortillas . While passing through Los Banos we stopped at this Resturant. We ordered the molcajete at $46, which was overwhelmingly spicy to the point of masking the actual flavors. It didn't come with a side of rice or beans which I've had at other locations and is usually a given. Even stranger, it only came with three tortillas for two people. For the amount of meat included, four should be the minimum--three just doesn't make sense. On the bright side, the chips and salsa were actually very good, with just the right amount of spice. Our waitress was wonderful. The ambiance was a bit loud but it was decorated nice for the upcoming holiday. Also enjoyed the murals. Unfortunately, none of that justifies their current menu pricing, it's hard to imagine this place staying competitive. However, I do hope they make it with the current market. read more

We were passing through town and saw the good reviews for Blue Agave and stopped in. The entry to the restaurant was lacking, however, I realize they just opened and could still be in the process of setting things up. The restaurant was clean and the hostess/waitress was friendly and helpful, but we could tell that she was new to waitressing. Now to the food. We started with the appetizer "Flaming Hot Cheeto" deep fried sushi roll. It was delicious! I had the shrimp tacos - they were very good and the salsa was delicious. However, it would've been nice to have some shredded cabbage or lettuce for the tacos. Overall, the food was delicious and so were the drinks. They just need to work on the ambience. read more

Went for lunch a few days ago and, to be candid, I forgot what I had, therefore an average rating. Luckily I now have the habit of taking pictures of our meal when we dine out. So I had the carne asada with flour tortillas. My husband had the chicken tacos. We both agreed that the homemade tortillas were awesome. I'll pretty much like any restaurant that serves home made flour tortillas...there's just something magical about homemade vs store bought. Anyway...my carne asada was good. I would order it again because I enjoy making my own mini burritos with the asada, rice, and beans. I was missing grilled onions that this dish has come with at other restaurants I've been to. My husband enjoyed his chicken tacos and said he really liked the texture of the homemade corn tortilla. The tacos were good sized and made with chicken breast (which is our preference over dark meat chicken). Service was excellent. We felt welcome and the restaurant was clean and well lit. Nice place little pricey for Los banos . for average food (no burritos) lol small menus of options I had the tacos 3 for 20$? Was not impressed at all. It was not bad but for 20 you would think some thing bomb n rice n beans but nope sushi was average but what can you expect I guess. Also had the birria plate nice size portion but again average taste little gamey I might go back to try the Molcajete will up date depending how good it is. Service was good but for 1 plate birria / 3 tacos n sushi no alcohol it was 75$ for lunch. Definitely over priced read more

Yummmy, first time going here and I discovered it via Yelp. Went in a few mins after opening. The outside looks a bit simple, but the minute you go inside and take a look around it's very creative and clean. Bathrooms available and very clean as well, but then again I came in shortly after opening. Service was great. We sat at a small table for two, w a cute light above. Had some drinks an appetizer, two rolls of sushi and a birria taco. The fries were crispy and the carne asada was tender and cooked well with great flavor. The drinks were perfect. Not too bitter, not too sweet. I enjoyed it. The rolls of sushi were a great size and very delectable. I was hesitant about the hot Cheeto rolls, but was surprised with the flavor it brought. I didn't try the birria taco, but my partner did and he said it was good. Overall satisfied and will be back! read more

New spot in town and this is 3rd time we came to this spot. Wife love their cocktails, not too strong or off taste, perfectly on point. Kids love their food. Their shushi done with creative way. Had a nice time with some friends. Food was tasty. Prices are about average. Service was also pretty good. Drinks were weak. But other than that, it was a lot of fun friends and good food. I will go back again and I would definitely recommend them again, but would be nice to see some basic things like enchiladas or something other Than the current menu. My friend ordered a piece of their cheesecake. They said it tasted good, but it was extremely small for the price. That's one thing I would suggest is looking at portions. The cheesecake should've been at least twice that size. That's in my opinion and fast experience from different places. But again we will still revisit. There's a few other things I want to try on the menu. read more

Ambiance 10/10, That margarita? 100/10 (Mango Margarita btw), Waitress? 10/10!!! She was amazing and was patient with my tipsy self lol. Not pictured was camarones a la diabla. Those were really good, I liked how it tastes authentic, not canned. I can tell their rice, beans, and salsas are made there. We were surprised the fajitas didn't come with tortillas, but the chips made up for it. The chorizo in the Molcajete wasn't outstanding but the meat and shrimp were so juicy and made up for it. Currently here sitting in the restaurant, 2 waitresses working but not a lot of attention on the tables even my table, ordered 1 coke 1 lemonade and a Paloma, the Paloma took more then 12 minutes to make and the bartender is not making any drinks. 3 people at the bar but eating and not getting any drinks. No silverware or napkins. I believe they bring it with you with your food. The waitress could be a little faster on their feet. The server came and dropped the sushi roll on the table. I wouldn't doubt it if all they did was replate it in the back as it came quite quick. Also only 2 napkins when we asked for extra napkins, she brought us silverware but the napkin was stained. Sushi was 9/10. Service 5/10 could be better with only 6 tables occupied and 2 servers and 1 hostess. Our Server's name was Lupita as it stated in the receipt. read more

If you live in town or passing through this is a MUST STOP place for amazing Mexican food and drinks - both on point. White fish ceviche, Carne asase tacos and queso birria (amazing) were our favorites and we have been back 4 times or so in the past 3 weeks haha. You just start with their cantarito (or a few) and end with the churros. Finally a fun environment and amazing food in town. We need more like this. Had the privilege to visit on their pre opening! Upon entering, the surprise was the decor. Could never expect it to be what it is from the outside. This was the very first surprise. Next, it was admiring the murals and colors that shouted out, "Mexican culture with a twist of lux!" - Que sorpresa ver tantos colores y que detallazo para el cliente. Después, la atención se va directamente al bar. The teal chairs, the glass and the fact that the drinks were actually really good. That Cadillac margarita made to exact precision. A classic margarita is within your top ten drinks at a bar; so perfecting this drink is important. The mango margarita used a different house tequila that changed the flavor (this was alright but not the best). Each plate of food was to perfection. We had the mango ceviche which is a plate I always cook at home and let me tell you; this had the perfect amount of lime and flavor. One plate fed two people! I'd change nothing; it came out in a clay plate (beautifully representing our culture) very Mexican and elegant. You are really using every inch of your culture and it shows. Next: this should have been first: the chips and salsa were so so good. Very rarely is there a location that offers good chips w a well made salsa. Riquísimo. Also loved the presentation. The guac: también hecho muy delicioso; cada quien que lo ajuste como le guste lol; yo le agregué un poco más de sal. Yum! The owner, Stephanie came out to greet us and it shows how receptive to feedback she is but most important the carefully thought out menus and decor. The ambiance is nice but the tables are a little too close to each other for my liking. I didn't have an entree but I did have dessert (churros & ice cream) and it was delicious. The plating was beautiful also. The margaritas were also delicious! Especially the blackberry flavor one! Now for the best part of my experience at this restaurant, the service. The service was excellent! Our waitress was extremely polite and friendly. She made sure we were happy and satisfied with our orders and experience. She was the sweetest.
