There is also no clearly marked front desk, so we weren't sure where to check in. everyone else was greeted with a kukui nut lei except for us before sitting down for check in. not that we wanted it since we live in Hawaii but we felt like we were treated like outcasts. We had ants in our room both nights of our stay. The first night they were on the countertop, and the second night they were throughout the carpet as well. There are no ice machines, and three employees we asked could not tell us how to get ice. We eventually learned that guests must call and have it delivered to their room. Signage throughout the property is poor. Other guests had to direct us to the beach, and it was difficult to find the adults-only pool. Families should also know there are no lifeguards on duty. hours are not posted. we had to ask about the hours for the pool and the weight room. While the setting is beautiful, the lack of organization, communication, and attention to detail left us disappointed. For the price, we expected a much better experience. the only saving grace was the beautiful gym that was open 24 hrs.

Here is where we fall off and don't quite hit the 5 stars. Our villa was super clean. Toilets weren't fully cleaned upon arrival and they definitely didn't do a better job during our stay. The couch and blankets had a few mystery stains that grossed me out. Cocktails and the restaurant are insanely expensive. We are talking 28 dollars for a cocktail. Additionally the staff member Nancy (pool attendant) was rude to me. I wasn't able to locate a dry chair in the sun at 4pm. so I asked an employee for permission to use a chair near the cabana. Permission was granted but she wasn't happy about it. So asked me to move, while I didn't have issue with moving I did find it rather unprofessional of her to yell at me for not reading the sign and while she offered to help me when I asked to a dry chair on the sun she walked away ranting about my lack of awareness. To make matters worse the same employee had a separate issue with my husband in reguarda to pool towels. When I tried to address it with the front they weren't very helpful. All in all we did have a great week there and hope to go back.

My husband and I stayed here for a week trip in the summer. The two restaurants on the property open at 3pm, and are actually closed two days of the week (Wednesday and Thursday were the closed days when we were there). We had to go to the 1 Hotel Resort for breakfast and lunch, which isn't far and can be accessed through the hotels golf cart transportation system, but defeats the purpose of the resort being the destination itself. And if you plan on going anywhere, you NEED a car, there are no Ubers or Lyfts around. We felt stranded when we arrived from our flight at lunch time, starving, and learned the restaurants are closed for another 3 hours, until 3pm. It does have a coffee shop that has drinks, cold and hot homemade sandwiches and snacks for on the go, but the hours it's open depends. The flyer they hand out says it's open from 7am-4pm but we just watched them close today at 1:30pm. There's a QR code that says to scan for live hours, which tells me it doesn't follow the 7am-4pm time frame at all. How would we then know when it's open to plan for it? Thankfully we got in before they closed for a lunch snack. That said, the operating times that can be inconvenient and if you want a proper sit down meal it's not the place. I found myself confused at times, wondering who this place was for because at times I needed food or simply a place to sit, everything seemed to be closed, all the way to the detail of seating areas on a busy dinner night. It's almost as if this isn't a resort meant to be open or helpful for guests living there. Most of the staff is welcoming, I saw one review mention some animosity towards tourists which I could definitely sense at the front desk with one of the ladies, but the rest of the ladies were nice, I think it was just her. 1 Hotel definitely has better service, where they actually critically think to go above and beyond on getting you what you need, though that's expected due to the price difference. The room was clean and had what we needed, full kitchen, master bed and a separate space with a pull out bed that was useful for our family who stayed with us to help with our baby. Overall, I'd rethink calling this location a resort, it's nice but a bit misleading.

You're in the country here, far removed from hotel/motel tourist-type locations. The house itself is comfortable and inviting. There's a really nice kitchen that is the center of the main dining/family room. It's set up perfectly for relaxing with family or friends. From the lanai you have a view of the verdant hills while hearing the waves crashing at nearby Moloa'a bay. There are two kayaks at the house that you paddle downstream a few hundred yards to the beach. The beach at Moloa'a bay is great. We were there during some big waves, but still could swim there without fear of getting smashed to pieces. During the summer, it's apparently as calm as a swimming pool with good snorkeling. The backyard at Jade Lily is a magical spot, with a giant shade tree and the stream rolling by. There's a big gas grill that we gave a serious work out. The nightly cost for Jade Lily was a screaming deal. Dealing with the very friendly owners was a breeze. Without question, next time I'm in Kauai, I'm going to stay at Jade Lily.

We scored with the location just outside of town with a short drive to the town center where we enjoyed several food options. We decided to act all touristy for a few days and explored some of the other hotels nearby which was nice to see and what the offered. If you want that small town vibe where you fit in with the locals and have a wonderful spacious time share, this is your place.

There's a foodland grocery store 5 min drive, has everything you need, same strip mall as an ace hardware and several mediocre restaurants. Oh and no AC!!! But the crossbreeze wasn't bad if you kept both lanai doors open. The cliff itself is an amazing view. Pricey for what it is, but so is everything. Hanalei is a 12 min drive and you have to drive everywhere which I hate personally.

The accommodations were great with very nice beds and bedding, nice kitchen appliances and Satellite TV and Wifi. Since this was a work trip for me, I found the amenities very useful as well as the ample space. We made use of the local grocery stores and cooked-in most nights and the kitchen was very well stocked. I also very much appreciate the prompt response from Blair Pruitt.
