I was looking to have some mice removed and was able to get someone out to my house the same day that I called. Unfortunately, the only options that they had (setting snap traps, sticky traps, and poison) were things that I was already doing. The technician who came out was able to answer all of my questions though and confirm that we were going about it the right way. Blue Beetle Pest Control was supposed to have called me 30 minutes before arriving at my home today (Tue. 25 May '21) between 3 and 6 p.m. to spray for carpet beetles. I NEVER received any calls from Blue Beetle and the scheduled technician NEVER showed up. One HELL of a way to treated a 1st-time customer. Whatever happen to "Doing what you say you are going to do" and/or "Common courtesy" (i.e. a phone call)? Subsequently, I have FIRED Blue Beetle both in an e-mail as well as via voice mail message. Who is the customer here? I simply will NOT do business with Blue Beetle and highly recommend that anyone reading this review seriously consider using some other pest control company, a company that actually "Does what they say they are going to do", believes in "Common courtesy", and "Customer Care" because all of the aforementioned successful business traits sure do NOT resonate with Blue Beetle in spite of what their advertisement(s) or BBB rating say. read more

The three technicians we have had come to our rental properties have been very professional and thorough. I use this company and another exterminator depending on our need but real like both of them. I highly recommend Blue Beetle! I had these giant crickets that look like dinosaurs in my basement. One night, I was heading down to do a load of laundry, and the dinosaur crickets were holding a caucus on my basement floor. For real, like 15 of them in a circle. It appeared they were going to take a vote on whether or not to attack me. SCARED ME. So, I called Blue Beetle. They came out the next day! There staff is extremely friendly, well trained and professional. And, my dog loved the guy that came to my house - so that tells you something too! read more

I called about wasps in my living room coming in through the chimney. They sent out a technician without a ladder. He attempted to spray in the top of the chimney and sprayed from the living room up. He never saw the nest, but called the problem solved. The wasps kept coming in, around 6 per day. I called the technician back, and he came without a ladder. Again. He had to borrow a ladder from the painter next door, but still couldn't get a view into the chimney. He sprayed again. He left again. The wasps kept coming in. I called to ask about a refund so I could pay someone else to do the job they couldn't, and I was offered half of my money back. Their reasoning: the technician (who never saw the nest) feels like he got most of them). I would NEVER call this company again. The owner is calling to explain on Monday his sound business reasoning, but they will not refund my money. My reasoning: They should never have taken the job if they couldn't get up high enough to legitimately deal with the issue. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a Saturday morning a few weeks ago. The technician never showed and never called. I emptied all of my cabinets to be treated for roaches and had to put it all back. I called 10 times but no one answers phones on the weekends. On Monday someone called and said they had no excuse and that the technician just didn't show. They offered me the service at 50% off. I rescheduled for today and again no call no show. Thank goodness I didn't empty my cabinets again. This company is a joke. I wouldn't have them come do my house even if they offered it for free. read more

I am so disappointed with this company I live in a house where it has three units my neighbor upstairs had bed bugs they came down to my apartment my landlord which paid for the services called blue beetle they came out did an inspection confirmed we had them they've had numerous employees in here to try to get rid of these bed bugs there was one guy that did a great job his name was Gabrielle they fired him others employees didnt do a good job They finally had to send the supervisor out here they also sprayed another property didnt do a great job there either who ever came out Tuesday ripped my 1000 mattress my landlord sent pictures to someone in there office they pretty much said they were only going to be willing to give me 30 for my ripped mattress that Im still paying for called there office kept blowing my off took my number never heard back from noone people in the office was rude would not recommend BLUE BEETLE TO NO ONE read more

Not really a fan of the receptionist. For the "voice" of the company - I would expect a little more pep in talking with a customer. Plus, I thought their quotes were pricy. Mind you - I did not have them perform service due to the nature of our pest problem (they don't handle what I needed), so I can't review that portion, but I probably won't call them again because of the reception I received. read more

We called Blue Beetle on Tuesday, the 21st of May 2019, to come out for the1st initial visit. We have had a serious fly infestation, which was taking over our first floor!! The soonest they could come was Friday the 24th between 9 a.m.-11 a.m. We waited until 11 a.m., and then called to see where they were? They stated they were on the way. The guy showed up at 11:30 and I asked him if he thinks it's ok to be late? Like they say, YOU NEVER HAVE A SECOND CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION!! The guy acts like it is no big deal that he was late!! I am in a wheelchair and my room mate had to leave by noon, so the guy had 30 minutes, to find the location as to where the flies are coming from, spray the whole basement, spray the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, and the perimeter of the property! There is no way he does that, then the paperwork, etc. within 30 minutes!! I will not do business with a company, if this is how they treat their customers! THEY HAD NO RESPECT FOR MY TIME AND MY PROBLEM! My room mate called Terminix and they are coming tomorrow(Sat) morning, between 8 a.m.-12 a.m. My advice is...... DON'T GIVE THESE COMPANIES YOUR BUSINESS, IF THIS IS HOW THEY DIS-RESPECT YOU!! LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO GIVE YOUR MONEY TO BAD COMPANIES!! BLUE BEETLE SUCKS AND I FEEL LUCKY TO HAVE DIVERTED A BAD FUTURE WITH THEM. LESSON LEARNED! read more

The receptionist was nice and very helpful as was the technician. They were prompt, courteous and I would highly recommend them!

I was super disappointed that Blue Beetle did not make it to my home during the 3 hour time slot that was allotted. I even gave them 30 minutes past their appointment time before I called the office. Again, disappointment because the woman who answered the phone did not offer to reschedule and when I said I would call another company her response was "ok". My husband called and left several messages for the owner, Mitch, but once again we were disappointed that he did not return our calls. Sounds like everyone else who reviewed here had a good experience...not sure why we were treated so poorly. I will definitely not recommend their services to anyone!!! read more

I used them twice for routine spraying. They said that web removal was included but they did not remove any webs. Ok fine, maybe I missed something in the contract. The second time they were scheduled for a routine spray on a Saturday from 8-12. Waited until 1 pm and no one ever showed. Called first thing Monday morning and the receptionist gave me attitude! No apology, no reason why no one showed, nothing. It was very unprofessional. They then showed up for a third quarterly spray without any notice. No call, no mail reminder or anything. I felt bad for the exterminator because he showed up to an empty house! I called the office and said I had no idea they were coming as I didn't receive any notice about when the quarterly appointment was supposed to be! Again, I got attitude. You would think a simply 'oh I am sorry we missed you can we reschedule for a time that works?' But instead I got curt and rude responses. The sprays did keep bugs at bay for about 2 months depending on the season, so for that, 2 stars. But based on their office staff alone I'm never using them again. I understand pest control is probably not a fun business, and I'm usually a pretty easy customer, but two strikes with not even a forced apology....ill take my business elsewhere. read more
