The way our old neighbors driveway sat by ours, it just collected huge pools of rainwater and became a breeding ground for mosquitos, so we had to try them out years back. It worked and admittedly it was moderately effective, at least for a few days after spraying... but I noticed how they said their chemicals are safe for kids & pets, but also were like "DO NOT let your dog out for a few hours after we spray!" How safe is it then? I know it would be dryer later and not as potent but that gave me pause into how safe this spray could really be. Then there's the bees. If I come across as some sort of granola hippie here, then, well you are right (although more of an oatmeal guy than granola). We know bees are important and it would appear this stuff ravages not just a few bees, but colonies of them. My wife grew a native garden, and we had so many bees around -- that pretty much put the kibosh on having Mosquito Joe out at our place. They do offer an all natural solution, but I guess my question is, if that works well (and at $71 bi/weekly, yikes) then why don't solely use that? Why nuke up the ecosystems throughout all the neighborhoods unnecessarily? I really do think the cost, or at least what they quoted us yesterday, is outlandish. I'm outside so much I count the yard in my home's square footage, but I don't think paying $1,000 per season (April-October) to keep mosquitos away is worth it.

I spoke with Lisa and their manager and was reassured with our concerns. I hope to follow up,with the results of the treatment and services after completion. mind you, I reached out to 2 or 3 other local competitor. the experience, cost(s) and overall interactions were "NOT" as described as above.

All the information on the contract was incorrect, except for the credit card. I thought they told me that they were going to do a quarterly treatment and I understood payment on a quarterly basis was $79.00. Instead, they set me up for Pro and charged me $80.00 per month. I called about the charges to find out why I was getting charges. I never received a contract due to the email being incorrect and my name spelled incorrectly. It cost me $279.00 to cancel. They charged me yesterday for $80.00 for zero service and cancelation fee. They wanted to offer me a $29.00/month plan since I am a senior which should have been that way in the first place. It would save me money now, if I did not cancel. No pets and no real pest problem. They spray the trees. You don't want to deal with these people. These kids are running around having fun. I guess getting a paycheck. Big mistake on my part. I will never say yes to a person selling at my front door again!!!!

After making the contract payments for a year, they called her and told her that she was late in paying her bill, which she is the most religious person in paying bills, and she could either pay them $200 or she would be placed in collections. She argued with them about canceling her contract and they then went ahead and charged her over $650 after she got off the phone, which prompted another phone call. They then negotiated the cancellation fee down to $350. This is not a good practice for a business and taking advantage of people on fixed incomes is giving scam artist vibes for a big business.

Update I have changed my satisfaction record with this company. I had bedbugs. They came out with a…read morecontractor company to do a heat treatment. The person that came out was not even at my house for seven hours. So the treatment was not effective. I still have bedbugs. I paid $4000 for a service that was not done correctly. Their inspector was supposed to come back out in a two hour window Never showed up. They want to send another company out to do it again. I have no extra storage in my modular home so I had to rent a storage unit. They want me to do it again and won't cover the charges this time. Not going to happen and saying that me moving stuff out of the house like I was instructed to is what is causing the bedbugs because those items weren't treated. But I was instructed to move those items out of the house so they are not damaged. Very unhappy with this company now $4000 down the drain. Do not use Orkin. They will not stand by their work. All over the website it says that there will be a follow up inspections for bedbugs never once was contacted. They only want to blame me for doing the prep work that they told me to do.

I asked American Pest Management to come out because of a very bad mice problem we are having…read more Someone came out and sealed some entrances around the home, as well as put up some bait traps in the garage and the exterior of our home. It cost $300, and they did not do anything inside. They said that they would recommend monthly follow-up visits for more $$, and they are scheduled to come back next week to check the exterior of the house. They also recommended putting up our dog food bowl and trimming the hedges in the back yard to be further from the house. We completely these things. We still have mice. And I am unsure how worthwhile this service is? I will wait and see if there is any improvement after this next visit, and will update my post afterwards.

He explained the bugs are harmless and will go away when it's drier. He was thorough in assessing our situation over the phone and recommended we just watch and wait. If we need any pest control in the future or know of anyone who does, I'll definitely recommend American Pest Management!
