They change Nelson's water bowl on each visit and even brought my garbage cans from the street to the garage! After the first week I received a lovely thank you note and a treat for Nelson. Our dogs definitely require special care--one has food aggression, one needs medication regularly, one has had a leg injury during their care--but they have always done a great job. We have cameras and always watch their visits, not to monitor them but just because we are excited to see our pups while we're away, and we've always been very pleased with their care. We are VERY particular about who we leave our pets with and they have never disappointed! Definitely recommend!

I had left instructions of how much to feed her, vet name and number, emergency vet number, etc. , etc. And this is after Devin came into my apartment and I had gone over everything with her! Devin texted me, took pictures and gave me a detailed description of how Mia was doing when I was gone. She cleaned her kitty litter, tried to play with her and even gave her treats! Mia hid from her but by the second day she actually came out of her hiding place. When Devin texted me that, it made me so happy! I did not worry at all about how Mia was doing by being alone because I knew that she was in good hands. I really enjoyed myself without having to be stressed out! It was so wonderful. And I've learned that my experience is rarely unique so if this helps someone who has similar situation here we go: We have a puppy that has some people fear, she's a rescue. She does ok if strangers don't reach for her head and they allow her to approach them first. Otherwise she'll growl and back away. (We met her sister when they were almost a year old and the sister was much worse. We have had our dog in training and she's improved drastically). Anyway, this service was going to come take our dog for walks. Robin was not available, although she came over to meet and assess first before approving us as clients, and so she had a younger girl that was working for her come over. This girl seem like she loves dogs and she did not seem uncomfortable with our pups anxiety so we allowed her to take the dog for a walk one morning, and we would be out when she returned but she was to let us know how it went. We didn't hear anything back until we sent repeated texts that day then heard from the owner that "something happened" and it didn't go well, But she knew nothing else. We were really worried since this was one of the first times a virtual stranger walked our dog for us. The girl didn't got back to us nor did the owner until the next day! I finally tracked the girl down and she said she was uncomfortable walking our pup- it didn't go well because she growled at someone and pull on the leash on the walk. well I was really relieved it wasn't something worse, but fully annoyed that she gave us zero feedback and let us just wonder and then seem to be really flaky. I can handle my dog although it's my first because the trainer explained to me how you teach a dog to walk on a leash and what to do when the dog growls or try to chase a squirrel. To me these are kind of basic dog things but this girl was unsettled. She told us she could not walk our dog anymore because she lunged on the leash etc. I am very inexperienced and I'm able toWalk my dog. Or if a problem arises I can predict/solve it with my very little training. This girl decided that the dog would be without behavior issues if we let her have free roam of the house. That is the opposite of what our trainers who have been doing it for 25 years and other friends with dogs have saidOur puppy does well in predictable routine's and experiences. She has a large penned area in the kitchen when we are not homeand she's allowed to freely roam the large kitchen and the backyard. But she's a puppy and has accidents and chews so we're certainly not going to let her roam the house on her own. I pursued this line of thinking but I didn't get any satisfying answers. My overall experience is that this service is quite amateur although loving. So might be right fit for the right owners and the right dog. Incidentally, with a little more searching we found the right puppy play groups and walkers for our very good but fearful pup.

To start, we told them specifically where the garage door openers would be so they could get into the house the first day. You have to go through the garage instead of the front door because it's too easy for one of our dogs to get out the front door and bolt down the street. When we first landed, we had a voicemail saying they couldn't find the openers and had to go to a neighbor's house to get a spare key. It was a good thing our neighbor was home, otherwise, our dogs wouldn't have even been checked on when they should have been. We returned home to find a bedroom door destroyed and the damage is extensive. Either this was done in one day and no one showed up to all day to help put a stop to it by blocking off the hallway, or it occurred over multiple days and again nothing was done to try to stop it and it was NEVER mentioned to us. They were asked to leave the garage door openers outside the house in a hiding spot so we could get in when we returned. One of the openers was, instead, left inside the house on the kitchen counter within reach of our big dogs. They, of course, got the opener and destroyed it leaving us with only one working opener. There was also so much poop and pee in the house when we got there that there's no way our dogs were let out during the day we returned (we got home after 9:00P). The owners claim that our dogs left that big of a mess every day, but they "require" 3 visits a day specifically to avoid that, so there's no way if our dogs were let out 3 times a day that they left that big of a mess. Our dogs are all house trained - including a 6-month-old puppy - and would never make that kind of mess inside the house unless they were left alone ALL DAY. My puppy is also required to eat all her meals in the bathroom because one of my other dogs is very food aggressive with her. You show her the food dish in your hands and she runs straight for the bathroom. Once we got home, though, she refused to eat in the bathroom which makes us believe that our instructions were not followed and that she was fed with the other dogs instead of being kept separate to avoid any problems. We contacted VIP Pet Services today and they blamed us for the garage door opener being chewed up because we don't crate the puppy - we also have a 3yo Boxer who gets into everything, which is why we don't leave things on the counter - even though we specifically asked them to leave the openers outside. They refuse to refund any of our money to help fix the destroyed door and the garage door opener and although they said they did a lot of things - like clean out the litter boxes - it certainly doesn't look like anything was cleaned the entire time we were gone (5 days). We will NEVER use VIP Pet Services again and I will be warning all of my friends and colleagues NOT to use them.

I recently moved to Huntersville and so had to find a new sitter for my American Bulldog. All the scheduling for services is completed online; Cindy walked me through this process with ease. We scheduled our consultation visit with Vinny and Sean the following day. I completed as much of my pups profile on line as I could and Vinny brought the form so we could finish what I missed. They were incredibly thorough; practicing placing the collar on CJ and even doing a "dry run" the next day before we left to ensure that CJ was comfortable. I texted almost everyday for updates and they were more than willing to accomadate. The brought the mail in, turned lights on and off as well as brought our recycling to the road side. When we got home we had handwritten notes from both Vinny and Sean detailing CJs care and reassuring us that the week was uneventful. We signed up for the white glove service with 3 visits a day and plan to utilize their afternoon walking service in the future as well. CJ is not just a dog but a part of our family and we would not have been able to enjoy vacation without knowing he was taken care of.

Sherry (owner) was supposed to visit with, walk and feed our 2 senior dogs while we were away for 5…read moredays. Her prices were very reasonable for the Lake Norman area, she met us and ask appropriate questions, took notes and she came with good recommendations. She was to come 3x a day on a Sat, Sun and Mon. First red flag: We left her a check on Friday afternoon, it cleared our bank Friday night. Most dog sitters we've had in the past waited until the last day they were needed before cashing, in case of travel delays, etc. I explained we had an alarm system, but we opted to leave it off while she was pet sitting. By some chance of luck we realized the day we came home that even when not armed, the system has a history of when the door is opened and closed. We found that she only visited, fed and walked our dogs 2x a day Sat, Sun and Mon. Between Saturday and Sunday she left them from 5:10pm to 8:20AM...15 hours without a potty break or food!!!! Upon our return, I placed a call to her to see how the visits went. I spoke to her for 5 mins, listening to Sherry tell me how they behaved (well), they ate well and she had no problems other than a smoke detector chirping and she pulled the batteries because she "didn't want to torture the dogs with that noise". At no time during this conversation did she tell me that she did not come 3x a day as we agreed and paid her to do. So, I confronted her about it. She stated she had a sick relative and had to go out of town each day and only came back and forth for my dogs. She stated they had pee-pee pads and one dog wore a diaper so she felt they were "okay". I explained that it most certainly was NOT okay to leave any dog for that length of time. When I asked for a refund of the 3 visits she did not do, she agreed and then told me: "BTW, I took garbage out because it was stinking up the house" Yes, I would assume when you leave 2 older dogs alone long enough (one with Cushings Disease and bladder problems) and throw her soiled diapers and pee-pee pads away, the garbage is going to stink. I wouldn't recommend this business to care for anyone's beloved animals.
