Pros: Reliable way to transport your pet. Fair pricing. Easy in terms of setting everything up. Deena transported our dog safely and was very friendly. Gave updates with pictures which was great. Very convenient. They worked well with my very nervous dog. Cons: Not the best communication in terms of updating when pickup was taking place. They give you an estimated time window for pickup and say they will contact you closer to the time window to give you a more specific pickup time. I had to call two different times and speak to 5-6 people on their after hours answering service in order to find out there was a 2-3 day delay on what was supposed to be the day of my pickup. I eventually was placed in contact with management and they were great. The delay itself is understandable, but it would have been ideal to have been given a heads up beforehand. read more

Blue Collar Pet Transport -- 1 star I hired Blue Collar Pet Transport to move our dog Radar and two cats from New York to Texas. Radar died within 48 hours of being placed in their care. He was 3.5 years old and healthy. We waited about a month to post this while awaiting the necropsy. It came back inconclusive -- because Radar was not brought to a veterinarian until full rigor mortis had already set in. Full rigor takes 6 to 12 hours to develop (per the vet). That means Radar was dead for hours before anyone at Blue Collar realized it. Two independent pathologists confirmed the body had decomposed too much to determine cause of death. The reason we don't know what killed our dog is a delay entirely inside Blue Collar's control. We were notified by text in the middle of the night. Calls to Blue Collar went unreturned. The first person we actually spoke to was the emergency vet who declared Radar dead-on-arrival -- and who was concerned enough about the circumstances that she recommended the necropsy. Here is what I wish I had known: They rely heavily on subcontractors. The people you speak to when you book are not the people transporting your animal. When something goes wrong, the customer-facing employees stop responding and you are handed off to contractors who have no direct obligation to you. There is no physical location. No office to visit. Blue Collar keeps no real logs. No route log. No stop log. No welfare log. No documentation of feeding, watering, walking, or check-in times. When we asked for records of what happened during the trip, there was nothing to produce. The only route data we obtained was screenshots of the driver's Life360 app that we cobbled together ourselves. Life360 is a personal location-sharing app, not a transport logging system. From those screenshots we found stretches close to four hours with no documented welfare check on the animals on the day Radar died -- a day when temperatures exceeded 100°F. Updates were not what was promised. We were told 4 per day. Most days we got one -- sometimes a short video, sometimes less. We also suspect the crate Radar was placed in was undersized (per a written statement from the boarding kennel we had used for years) -- but with no logs, there is no way to confirm. Their communication is poor and defensive. Their main channel is a group chat in an app called GroupMe. The initial incident report we received had basic facts wrong -- the wrong age for Radar, the wrong breed, and a timeline that did not match Blue Collar's own records. It was not written by the driver on the scene -- it was written by their subcontractor route coordinator, who was on a plane at the time of the incident. It is incredibly irresponsible that the person responsible for coordinating the transport of our animals was unreachable, in the air, while the trip was in progress. When we tried to reconstruct what happened, that same route coordinator asked us: "what exactly are we in search of currently?" When we pushed back for accurate information, we were told we were chasing conspiracy theories. When we formally requested all internal communications about Radar's death, we were told there was zero written internal communication that did not happen in the customer group chat we were part of. No internal email thread. No investigation memo. No documented review. Once payment was resolved, Blue Collar employees stopped responding. They refunded us, and after that all communication from actual Blue Collar staff went silent. I tried to reach the owner on LinkedIn -- no response. Blue Collar has also disabled Recommendations on their Facebook business page so customers cannot leave reviews there. The company has changed names at least once (formerly Millennium Pet Transport) -- search carefully, older reviews may not surface under the current name. We are not the only ones. Multiple families have described the same pattern via Facebook victims' groups and Instagram/YouTube reviews: an animal in Blue Collar's care under 48 hours, animal dies, animal is not brought to a veterinarian until in full rigor mortis. Do NOT use Blue Collar Pet Transport! I ignored my gut and the negative reviews, and I deeply regret it. We needed to move Ozzie, a berna-doodle from FL to TX and found Blue Collar on-line. I hired them to transport a sick/vulnerable dog, Ozzie, who has chronic Bordaella and an IGA deficiency (translation: catches anything & everything and gets really sick), while I flew to visit my sick Mom. The sales manager promised a professional, private, direct-route transport with no unplanned stops and our harness staying on for the entire trip (it's a contract line item). The pre-trip planning went fine, but the day of the transport was a disaster. First, the driver showed up almost an hour late. Second, after leaving with Ozzy we watched the AirTag (Pro-Tip = put an Air-tag in your Dogs collar/harness) make a 40-minute stop at a random spot off the route to TX. Concerned, I called the driver who initially didn't answer. When she finally did answer, the excuses started ("I was stopping for gas" ...For 40 minutes? "I was visiting my mother's grave" ...Is she buried in someone's front yard because there is no Cemetery anywhere near where you were? Not to mention that her stopping at a grave was clearly not a planned stop in the contract), and 3) At some point, Ozzy's harness was inexplicably removed and put back on backward (in violation of the contract they had me sign and why? What was she doing with my dog?). That was enough to earn a bad review, but that was when it got even worse. Realizing I had a problem with the driver, I called the sales manager for help. I explained the situation, admittedly I was concerned. He listened for a minute and then proceeded to call me "too uptight," cancel the trip, and hang up on me. A few minutes later, he seemed to realize the error of his ways and texted back apologizing for hanging up on me ("It was out of character of me" ...maybe?) and promised a full refund. Ozzy was returned (freaked out...what were they doing with my dog?), and I had to cancel my flight. Later, I was contacted by a customer complaint specialist (seems odd that you need a full-time person to handle complaints, unless you have A LOT). "Hunter" listened to my story/gathered documentation, expressed regret and concern, and promised the owner would contact me to "make it right." As of the date of this review, 10 days later, I've been ghosted...No Refund, No Calls/Responses from anyone. I had to cancel my plans to visit my mom and figure out an alternative method to get my immunocompromised dog home. It cost me lots of extra expenses, cancellation fees, and wasted time. Looking back more deeply at the reviews and info on these guys (12 complaints to the BBB!), I should have trusted my gut and avoided Blue Collar Pet Transport. I also realize that this review will almost certainly be met with a generic pasted "response" or an aggressive, insulting note from the owner blaming me for something to deflect blame from their lousy service (during and after). It is worth it to let others know to Save yourself the pain and avoid this company at all costs! Update: 8/3/25 Don't be deceived by the small businessman act. Richard Hardy is a Bully to those around him (including customers), and Blue Collar Pet Transport doesn't honor their contracts or stand behind their work. Based on my personal experience, I believe Blue Collar Pet Transport is engaging in fraud and wantonly steals money from potential customers. Here is my situation. My father died in spring 2024. I assured my father I would adopt and care for his dog upon his death. But I needed to transport the dog from the Midwest to the West Coast. I called Blue Collar and spoke with Miguel Ledet. He assured me Blue Collar could do this (for $3,000) and quickly asked me to make a deposit of $810. Blue Collar would have driven my dad's dog across the country in a shared van and it would have taken them 7-10 days. Even though I felt that was far too long for the dog to be in a car in the middle of the Summer, I didn't think I had any other option. Through a lot of research, I was able to find a way to fly with my dog. It turns out Alaska Airlines is excellent with dogs. Further, the cost to fly with the dog was $150 versus nearly $3,000 for Blue Collar. Once I was able to find a time and way to fly with the dog, I cancelled with Blue Collar. You should know that that I never set a date with Blue Collar so they had not yet set up a ride for the dog with one of their third-party drivers (they don't actually drive the dogs themselves). I contacted Blue Collar to get my deposit refunded, which they assured me they would do. You can even call them yourself and ask Miguel Ledet if they will refund your money...and he will tell you that they will as long as they have not yet arranged the dates of transportation with their third party drivers. But, based on my experience, Miguel is a liar and works for a company who will steal your money and not return it. Take my word for it, you may never see your money again. If these crooks refund my $810 deposit for a service I NEVER used, I'll revise this review to note that they refunded my money. But if they refuse, this review stands and I strongly recommend that you avoid doing business with this company. After all, if they can't refund a deposit, how do you think they'll treat your wonderful dog? I would NEVER leave my beloved pet in the care of these monsters. Lastly so that you have a timeline, I made my deposit in mid June and cancelled about a week later. I have still not had my $810 returned...it's now almost October. read more

I have had to report this business to the Better Business Bureau and am currently seeking legal counsel regarding my experience. At the time of delivery on December 4th, this company refused to release my pets unless I paid an additional $1,500, after the agreed-upon price of $2,650 had already been paid in full prior to pickup. Payment was demanded after they already had possession of my dogs and would not release them otherwise. I paid under pressure and duress in order to get them back. Afterwards, I immediately contacted the company and was told I would receive a refund for the $1,500. It is now December 20th. I have received no refund, and the company has stopped responding. I was ignored by Ann from the Customer Service Team, Rick (who I initially spoke with to arrange the transport), and another individual named Kenneth who sent the $1,500 invoice. Additionally, one of my Rottweilers arrived with a bladder infection and was urinating blood. The veterinarian indicated this was likely due to her having to hold it for an extended period during the 17-hour transport. While the vet visit was fortunately inexpensive (approximately $160), she is still on antibiotics at the time of me writing this review having to take 2 pills twice a day, every 12 hours. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS TRANSPORT SERVICE. Based on my experience, their pricing practices, lack of accountabilit, and disregard for animal welfare are deeply concerning. Stay away! My friend had her six cats shipped from Las Vegas to Virginia. The van was dilapidated. All the cats were sick upon arrival. At least one or two days behind schedule and an entire family with two or three kids was in the van during transport. Before departure in 110+ degrees I had to ask the man to turn the van on so the cats would have AC. Kennels were stacked on top of each other, all the bedding was completely soiled when the cats arrived in Virginia. My friend paid over $6000. It was nothing short of horrific. read more

To be fair, I waited two weeks before writing this post. Just thinking about the stress BCPT caused my family & me still makes me sick to my stomach. The only good news is that my cats are home now safe and sound. I moved my cats (feral colony & house cats) from California to Montana via private transport at a cost of over $6,500.00. I contacted BCPT in August when I put my house up for sale. As it turned out, it took awhile and the move ended up in December. Their communications were horrendous. They gave me a "window" of when they would pick up the cats. As I explained to them, again as I had before, that they needed to give me a three day notice before pickup because there was no one at the new house to receive the cats. My husband would leave, towing a trailer, three days ahead of the pet transport to be at the new house to receive the cats. After numerous phone calls BCPT finally gave me the phone number of the drivers. I contacted them as they were driving from Florida. The drivers & I got the date settled and my husband left for the new house. The drivers finally arrived, much later than they originally said because they had to stop to buy additional kennels as they were not informed that most of these cats are feral and cannot be kenneled together. We took about four hours to outfit the UNINSULATED van with the appropriate number at kennels and cats. Here is a van, uninsulated and without tire chains traveling to Montana in the winter, transporting cats they had to stack three cages on top of one another and bungee them to the walls Of the van. Just horrifying. The fact that not carrying tire chains in some states in the winter is illegal was completely lost on their customer support person. Once they left, I handed off communications to my husband. Their 18 hour drive took them nearly 30 hours. Keep in mind we paid for two drivers to drive straight through knowing they could not open the kennels of the feral cats. Whatever food & water was put in at the beginning had to last until the destination. One of the cats had escaped during transfer. When we finally cornered him in a kennel, he was without food, water, or litter tray For 30 hours. I feel awful. I spoke with customer service during the drive since I was concerned about the weather. I voiced my concerns and her actual answer was that my pets were fine because "she is a vet tech". Sister, so am I. She did not see the condition of that van so how on earth can she make an uniformed statement like that? Durning this phone call was when I actually discovered they had no tire chains. It is now well past the time when they could purchase tire chains. Options; wait seven hours for a store to open or keep driving. Keep driving. They arrived at the destination vey early in the morning. My husband and drivers unloaded the cats and got them settled. Shortly after the drivers left, my husband got a call from them. They slid off the road into a small ditch. My husband chained up his big 4 WD truck and went to pull them out. They & the van were ok, so on to their next gig they went. This is only a very very short story: I could write a novella. I talked to four different departments of this company (sales, scheduler, transportation, & drivers) and none of them knew what the other department had commited to or what they were doing. Terrible communications. In all fairness, the drivers get a A+. They were more than willing and able to do whatever needed to be done. Unfortunately, they were completely uniformed that these are feral cats and transporting 15 of them is an enormous task. They stepped up and got it done. So I found this company online read their reviews and seemed good so I was like okay let's try them out. I didn't want to ship my dog underneath a commercial airliner cuz he's a medium sized dog and they can have trouble breathing and sometimes don't make it. So to play it safe I found this company that says animals can fly in cabin or cargo in cabin which made me feel much better. Well I can say that everyone is very friendly Taylor was the one who helped me first to book my dogs flight. Then I was told a flight coordinator would reach out to me and tell me everything I need and so fourth. Well her name is Demi and the communication started off okay but I can say I would never use there service again the experience overall wasn't pleasant at all I paid a little over 2,300 to ship my dog from Hawaii to Los Angeles and what a shit show. I was told I would get a call or email 72 to 24 hours before the flight to make sure my dog was all set to go so I wouldn't have to be stressed or worried. I was warned that flights out of HI can be delayed and would be notified if it was. Well I was never notified. His flight was scheduled to leave at 2:00pm they (Pacific Air Cargo) require your pet to be there at 11:30am for drop off/check in so we made sure to drop him off and made sure he had food and water so fourth. Well we weren't notified from PAC or Blue Collar Pet Transport (Demi) that it was. I had to call to see if the flight had even left yet the lady on the phone said it should be leaving at 4:20pm that's almost 2 1/2 hours past when it was scheduled to leave also the lady on the phone at PAC Honolulu was rude and just said there nothing we can do and hung up. So I checked the flight tracker they gave me and it said the flight was coming into LA at 10:30pm so I left my place in LA at 10:00pm to make sure I would be there on time. Well I get there there is no signage to tell You where to go where to park where to check in nothing. Also BCPT (Demi) never gave me an after hours number nor any info besides where the location was. Well I had to ask another company nearby if they knew luckily they did and it was a small door no markings or anything on it so I opened the door and there was a lady sitting and asked if I was there to pick up my pet. I said yes she stated oh did no one contact you about the delay I said nope no one I was so pissed at this point she said the flight wouldn't get into LA till 1:00am and I could pick him up at 1:30am. Like wtf that is a total of 14 hours my dog was in his kennel that's is just unreal. They also do not check on your animals during flight to at least make sure they have water especially after it was delayed 3 hours plus the 11:30 drop off time my other half made sure to put water in his bowl in the kennel when we dropped him off and made sure to send a bottle in case of a long delay. My poor dog. Anyways so when I finally went to pick him up at PAC LAX location I was meet by a gentleman that barley spoke English so it was hard for me to figure out where to go and what to do in order to pick up my dog. He just said you here for pick up doggie I said yes and just followed him. Then the gentleman inside was moving around the other dogs while making me wait. So I signed the paper work and took him out of his kennel right away. He had no water in his bowl at all and looked frantic. No water for a 14 hours of being in a kennel is animal Abuse to me. Although while all employees were nice. The overall experience of BCPT AND PAC were terrible why pay so much money for a service when I ended up doing and checking on everything besides booking the actual flight I would never recommend anyone to use there services again especially after finding out that he had no water for a 14 duration. That's just animal abuse to me I mean would you want to go 14 hours without anything to drink? There's much more I have to say but I will leave it at this. read more

They are saying that they will take them to the ASPCA if I don't pay a total of $6000 and sign something that guarantees I won't tell my story and slander their "good" name before I even see my girls. Second time using this company and have been very satisfied with their service both times. The ease of scheduling and communication with dispatch and drivers made the experience more comfortable knowing that they were placing a high priority on my dog and service. The driver kept me updated with any schedule delays, pictures of my dog throughout the trip and made the stress of transporting my dog comfortable. Vans are clean and drivers are courteous. Using Blue Collar was a stressful, frustrating experience, and if I could leave a 0 star review I would. I will be avoiding them at all costs and telling people to avoid them because of how terrible my experience moving my cat was. I moved from Boston to San Francisco a few weeks ago (late August) and hired BCPT back in May for the move. I wanted to arrange it early to reduce stress at move time. I talked to a salesperson named Paul about my move and emphasized one important requirement: my cat could not show up before August 31 because I would not have a lease or anywhere to put her and I wouldn't even be in SF to receive her. With that information, we decided that a shared ride was the best option. We set a pickup window of Aug 25-30. I got a text from the driver that he'd be picking up my cat on Aug. 24. I responded saying that the 25th was supposed to be the first day, but as long as she didn't arrive before the 31st that was ok. He said this would place her arrival on the 30th. I said I can't do that. I contacted customer service and they told me I had to deal with it because the contract says I have to be flexible and portrayed it as if I had no other options. I called and emailed customer service over 10 times over the course of the next 36 hours trying to figure something out, asking if she could get picked up by a different driver later or if there were more stops along the way they could make to delay her until the 31st. At first they just said no, but then after a few rounds with customer service they said they could board her for a few days in SF. I was happy with this solution, but then they told me that she'd need to get an extra vaccine if that was the case, and she was supposed to be picked up the next day so I didn't have time to get it for her. If this was presented to me as a possibility during the sales process, I would have happily gotten it for her, but they didn't mention this need until 48 hours before her pickup which was too late. Then came the actual pickup: at first the driver Jordan said he'd pick my cat up on the afternoon of Aug 25. Then I got a text from him saying it'd either be the afternoon of Aug 25 or the morning of the 26th. I told him I can do either one, but to give me 24 hours notice so I can sedate my cat, and the first dose of the sedative needs to be given the day before. The pickup window got bumped back from the morning of the 25th to the afternoon, to the evening. I started sedating her for a 10PM pickup, which was the most recent update I got. The driver arrived at 1:30AM, and by that point the sedative had worn off and my cat was yowling, stressed and crying. Their inability to communicate the pickup time caused inordinate stress for my cat. When she was picked up, I asked what the delivery estimate was and he was again unable to give an accurate one. I was told during the sales process that I'd receive a text update with a picture of my cat every day, telling me how she was doing and where they were. I only got 1 picture from the driver the whole time and that was because I asked him for it. I never got location updates. Eventually he started getting close to SF, and he told me he'd be able to drop off my cat the afternoon of the 31st. Again, he started pushing it back and back, so it went from the afternoon of the 31st, to the early evening, to 9PM. Then it became midnight, again I said that was getting late and asked for the morning instead. So we agreed on 8-9AM. At 7:30AM that morning I had not heard anything from him, so I texted him. No response. I called customer service and they were also unable to get in contact with him or tell me where he was. At this point I was terrified because no one had any idea where my cat was. Finally, an hour and a half after she was supposed to be dropped off, he finally responded saying he was a few hours away. End to end this service was terrible, stressful, and I feel completely lied to and misled by the salesperson, driver, and customer service team. Avoid at all costs read more

If I could give a 0 review I would. This company had been contracted to move my sister-in-law's 4 dogs from California to Canada as she was coming home (Canada) to spend her last days with her family. She had terminal cancer. The schedule was organized, Blue Collar would pick up the dogs on Tuesday, the movers would come on Wednesday and my two sister's in law would fly on Wednesday evening. This was all before Blue Collar FAILED TO SHOW UP AS PLANNED. They didn't call and cancel, they failed to show up. When an alternate day was finally scheduled, the driver informed us he wasn't intending to give two of the dogs insulin because he was just a driver. We had prearranged for a vet tech to be with them to give them insulin. This was all bad enough, but because of their initial failure to pick up the dogs, my terminally ill sister in law had to sleep on the floor of her empty house, IN PAIN, because the furniture was gone and she couldn't take 4 dogs to a hotel. She couldn't take her scheduled flight and two family members took unpaid time off work, flew to California, rented a van and took 3 days to bring her and the dogs home. SHE WAS TERMINALLY ILL and really unable to safely travel for 3 days without medical care, and in pain over every bump. She passed away a month later. Blue Collar not only fails to reimburse the family for costs incurred but also fails to answer emails of return phone calls to address this issue. The only reason I finally got a big fat NO to reimbursement of costs is because I kept calling and told them I would keep calling. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEIR DISREGARD FOR A DYING WOMAN AND HER FAMILY IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. read more

Blue Collar Pet Transport delivered our babies safe and happy yesterday. Their kindness and service exceeded all our expectations, with frequent updates with pictures and videos all along the trip from CA to NC.
