Called late Friday afternoon about a leak from our hot water tank. Call was answered, my info taken but she suggested I call first thing in the am when they opened. Call was answered Saturday morning and I was transferred to service. I opted for the first available technician instead of choosing my own. (Needed this repair asap since we are from out of town and using the camper) I got an appointment for the very next morning. Within 2 hours I received a call saying it was all finished and covered under our warranty. The technician explained the leak came from 2 separate hoses (one that was only visible after removing the tank), those were tightened. He made sure there was no crack in the tank and even straightened the tank because it was installed crooked. After we were finished I asked if there was another way to loosen the water filter because I couldn't get it to budge. He got it loose for me. Thank you to everyone in the service dept for helping fix our trailer and getting us in and out so fast! I'm sorry so many others had bad experiences, but I certainly did not. Bought my camper at the end of January started getting leaks the first time I used it in May it's been broken since between the lack of communication from this dealer lack of available appointments, Huge delay in between having them look at it, reaching out to the manufacturer. The service department is terrible. No one calls you back. The advisor says text me. It's the best way to reach me and days and days go by before you hear anything you have to reach out to corporate to get an answer for someone just to text you to tell you that your service advisor is on vacation and your camper that you dropped off a month ago nothing has been done you have to reach out to the manufacturer to find out what parts they have or have not ordered because no one calls you back. Save yourself to hassle. Save yourself the time go somewhere else. Do not buy an RV from these people, do not bring your RV to get serviced here. This is my 2nd experience with Blue Compass RV. I had a few service issues the first time in 2024, but I chalked it up as an anomaly. On my first purchase, I got home to realize they didn't flush the tanks resulting in feces coming out of the tank when I opened the cap. This 2nd go round is an absolute debacle from beginning to end. I decided to read the reviews and I realize that this experience is not tied to any particular reason, but it's a pattern. The leadership and quality control is just absent. They are very nice people and try to placate at every turn, but they just do NOT deliver what I expect and call complete quality service. A few examples are miscommunication, follow through on promises. No leadership readily available when needed to have a conversation with disgruntled customers. I worked in car sales. There is usually a general manager, a sales manager, and an F&I manager. One of these folks are usually available to take calls or address concerns. Many days I called, not one person was available. I wasn't properly prepared on how long it would take to receive my RV. My first walkthrough, I discovered a dead mouse and mouse droppings all over the RV. It smelled bad! They could have cleaned it knowing that I would be visiting. I pointed out issues with the RV on my first walkthough such as cosmetic issues. I was assured they were easy fixes and they would take care of that. They did not. My financing went through and I was contacted by the lender and told my first payment was due and I hadn't even received the RV. Later I was told this was common with consignments. The GM said that he would reimburse me one months payment. We shall see. One of the Teddy Bear mattresses was damaged by mice. I was told initially that mattresses were easily replaced and can be done quickly, while later I was told by someone else that they are on backorder. I picked up the RV one month after initially pointing out the mattress, and it's still not replaced. No less than 3 or 4 people was told about the mattress. I sat down with what I will call the "Walkthrough Team". I pointed out a few issues which I included photos. In addition to the images, the bathroom fan is very loud. I was also told that they replaced the motor in the awning. It did NOT work properly on the walkthrough after said repairs were made, and it seemed to open extremely slowly once I got it home. I have not completed a full inspection of the RV. I'm going camping this week. I'm not confident that I won't find more issues that were overlooked. My estimation of this entire situation is that there is no quality control plan in place and that is sad for an organization of this size. This isn't Joe's Used RV Shop. This is Blue Compass. I expect better and I'm sadly disappointed. The GM TJ Houser seems like a good guy. I'm not putting this all on him, but his team is not good. They are letting him down. We drove almost 4 hrs , went thru $300.00 worth of diesel in our motorhome to go check out another coach. The sales person knew we were coming and when we got about 20 mins away she calls and tells us the coach isn't running. We finished the ride to go check out how it looked and it was absolutely horrible. It smelled of cigarettes and dirty dogs, every door compartment was rusted out, the jacks looked like they had been planted in the ground for a very long time by the ocean. The water filter outside was split in half so you know darn well the lines are no good , it was so dirty inside. They didn't even bother to clean it up. won't be going back there again read more

Very disappointed, Im traveling and 1400 miles from home. I made an appointment with Jeff and waited 10 days for the business to get me in to repair to Motorhome. When I called to bring unit in I was told no appointment was on the books. I explained that I set this appointment with Jeff, who assured me, the issue I had was common and they could fix the unit. This business refused to repair RV and never returned a call back to explain why my appointment was canceled as I waited broke down for the appointment. We brought our brand new Newmar 2026 Super Star there for a few service issues and they were unable to repair our awning completely. They did not know how to sync the remote and stated they could not find a particular box needed to sync it. A service technician was throwing around totes and other items in our basement area trying to look for this equipment. We ended up doing the leg work ourselves and contacting Girard to have them talk us through how to sync the remote, works great now and it only took them 3 minutes to talk us through the process. Turns out that "box" was not even something in our coach. Melissa, who takes care of Newmar accounts, was very rude at times over the phone, seemed as if we were bothering her. read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had. No communication from the salesman or gm. Signed paperwork at the end of May sent several texts to the salesman with no response. Called the GM left 4 messages no response. Finally called the salesman to ask what's up with the camper because we had the inspection at the end of May and here it is July 4th. His answer was I call and nobody calls back so you can call. So I call a d they tell me after replacing the stove they needed another part but it would be done the next day. I that time frame e I've already made a payment on something I don't have. Then I call and tell the GM who I Finally got through to (thanks to member services) and he told me he has nothing to do with that and somebody would call and set up a delivery date. So I wait another few days then get a call saying they were bringing it that day. When I finally got it I was checking everything out and the new stove they put in wasn't the same size they shoved it one side of the counter and the other side has a 11/2inch gap. Then I ask were the plates and inspection are and he tells me he has nothing and takes his dealer plate off. So again I text my salesman asking if he could check where my plates are with again no response. So it has taken me almost 2 months to get the camper and now I still can't do anything because I have no plates or inspection. Also again no communication at all. So my next step is my lawyer cause I don't know what else to do. read more

They did not submit the claims for warranty we noted during demo, now the biggest issue, the awning arm, is being denied as it "could have happened after delivery". They will never provide you with timely updates and you have to call the yourself to find out anything. BUYER BEWARE! JOE HUNT IN SALES AND TJ HAUSER THE MANAGER ARE THE WORST THING FOR THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL MIS ADVERTISE AND LIE TO YOU IN ORDER TO MAKE A SALE. WORST BUSINESS TO DEAL WITH EVER IN MY OPINION. My family and I (one of which is a newborn) purchased a used camper we saw online offered for sale by Blue compass in Latham. The camper was in our price range as we are first time "campers" and wanted a cost effective solution to start our adventures with. When we called and spoke to Joe Hunt in sales, he assured us this was a clean used unit. Being over 3 hours away I had numerous questions before arrival. I was assured the camper was a fresh trade in, clean, and everything was ready for us to view. Upon arrival, when opening the door of the camper, we immediately noticed the previous owners information. The camper was also filled with food and personal belongings which made it smell terrible. Joe did not know any of this which proves he did not go over this unit or even view it which I verified with the previous owner (yes, we spoke with the previous owner who is also having issues with Joe and Blue Compass) We spoke to Joe and he assured us when we were ready for pickup, the camper would be fully detailed, body sealed, and roof sealed. This is the only reason we still considered our purchase and we're excited to get on the road with it. We had to come back at a later date to pick this unit up which Joe had set us a time for, and had also made us pay a $700 "check and advise" fee which is a scam as they do not do all the services they say they offer for that Price. Upon arrival the second time which we arrived an hour early, the camper wasn't even ready or prepped. They lied to us about the body seal, detail, and roof seal. One propane tank was also empty. There were still feces on the toilet, garbage in the couch, and flys inside of the lights. We have attached pictures to show the "job" they did. We bought a used camper with the understanding these things were to be done which I have in writing from Joe. That is the only reason we agreed to purchase this camper as Joe promised us these issues would be fixed. Our appointment was originally scheduled at 1:00 in the afternoon. We didn't leave the place till after 6:00 as they didn't have anything done until that time. Remember, we have a 3 hour drive home too, so we already had a 14 hour day between travel and waiting. We grew frustrated and were eager to leave, and decided to take the camper as Joe said these issues would be taken care of even if they had to come out of his own pocket and we already had a family trip planned for he following week which put us in a bind. When we got the camper home, we found one wheel to have lug nuts loose, improper tire PSI, brakes that are no good, wheel bearings not greased, roof seal hacked, body seal hacked, and a leak in the slide out which we were told wasn't a leak just normal wear and tear from being an older camper. All of these issues were immediately brought to there attention of which we were assured they would be corrected. How can a vehicle be inspected with these issues? They put my families lives at risk driving down the road with a loose wheel. Another issue was the pull out inside of the couch, had blood on the mattress. This is a bio hazard issue now of which they had no care in the world for my family's health. We are extremely upset about all of this. We understand we bought a used camper, that isn't the issue. The issue is Joe is a liar and TJ the manager will not do anything to fix the issues or perform services they charge you for. We will be passing this info along to legal as we were sold a camper under false pretenses. We have everything documented. Blue compass will not respond to you when you leave the store nor help you in anyway after a purchase. These guys are thieves and will make you feel violated. We didn't ask for much, only for the company to keep there word on doing what they say. They even lied in the paperwork and will hide certain words to make sure your stuck with your purchase. read more

1 Star is too much. Had our airstream serviced here. Never again. 1) We needed the stabilizer replaced because it was bent. They removed the wrong one. 2) The dinette bench wasn't attached to the shell. So they broke the cabinet in order to gain access rather than taking the 2 hrs it required to do it the right way. We had to pay $300 to a real airstream service center to fix their work. 3) Countless delays in getting an appointment (you see how that worked out anyway). 4) When we did have our appointment our service tech had gone home and they were going to let us drop it off as we arranged. Many obscenities and threats later and we were able to leave it. These people have zero class, respect, care or sense for what customer service looks like. read more

To start off, the purchasing process with blue compass is convenient. Some negotiation with price, paperwork, and congratulations are in order through the process. They then set you up for a demo date of your unit where they will walk you through your camper and then you can take the unit home. Everything up to this point goes smooth and quick. From there, as soon as you leave their lot, do not expect anything but rude service support and ignored contact to your salesperson. We left with our unit to get it home and find out that the auto level system and jacks did not work. With contacting blue compass we were told we had to go through RV Complete Roadside (a package we paid extra for to add on for our protection while traveling) to diagnose the issue even though it was the dealerships responsibility to resolve the issue because we had not yet even used the unit. Furthermore instead of sending out a technician to fix the issues, they demanded that the camper was to be brought back to them on our dime for them to even consider fixing it. Through multiple calls, the people in the service department were rude and defensive as if we had caused the issues. With that being somewhat of a dead end I tried contacting our salesperson to see if the issue could be resolved with the help of him. Phone calls and text messages were ignored as if they were just happy with the unit being off of their lot and that they didn't care about the customer and the issues. After getting the camper home and finding out that the jacking system did not work I decided to look a little farther into the "preparation" of it that we had paid for in the purchase. We were told the propane tanks would be filled (which they were), the roof would be re-caulked, and the battery for the 12v system would be replaced. The caulk work they did on the top of a very expensive unit is a disgrace to say the least. There was no care in the world to actually seal the roof and make it look decent. Also the battery that was replaced is completely dead without any use and it will not hold a charge. The 12 volt master switch has been off since we got home. With that being said, we will now have to actually re-seal the roof, replace the dead battery (which is supposed to be 2 batteries for a fifth wheel camper), and also replace the hydraulic and electrical components for the jack system to even have a functional camper. This will add thousands of dollars to our purchase for the work to be done properly and in working order. The service department does sub par work and the management has no care for customer support after a unit is sold and out of their lot. In the purchase process we added roadside assistance, rv gps, and full insurance to cover any damaged or malfunctioning appliances or accessories on the camper. No one even showed us how to use or access any of this information. We do not recommend purchasing a camper from this location and we do not recommend anyone to bring a camper there for service. We will never purchase something from Blue Compass again. Buyer beware. read more

I am frustrated to have to post this, but I hope it will help others as they consider doing business with this company. I purchased a used hybrid from them last July and enjoyed it through the summer, even though the electric did not work on the refrigerator (only has). I decided to take it into them in March to replace the heating element and dewinterize it. We did a full walk around when I dropped it off with ample detail paid to each scratch and ding. After paying my $480 for the repairs I hooked my trailer up and drove home. As I backed into my driveway, my wife noticed a break in the driver side rear bumper and a dent along the the side panel. There is no way it was missed in our initial walk around and I missed it upon pickup. I called the service person and they asked me to send an email with a picture. After a follow up email and a message I received the reply below... "Good morning, I've received the photo of the area in question. After review, we're positive that did not occur while unit was here. The unit was parked in a remote area where no other vehicles were parked or moved. Also, it's directly on the driver side rear, which is very noticeable upon pickup, while walking to your vehicle. To further assist, I can get you a price on the damaged parts if you'd like." I will never work with this company again and have already submitted a claim to the BBB. To dismiss my concern and call me out for "not noticing it" when I walked out and then offering to price the damaged parts for more serve $$ in their coffers is terrible business practice. I purchased a toy hauler in January. It is a 2024 aurora 26th, brand new left over. The sales person Chris was great to deal with. The walk through was great. I picked the camper up in early April. First use there was issues. Hot water tank didn't work on propane. The bedroom sliding door track fell off the ceiling, emergency window screen came off and would not go back on, the front diamond plate chip guard is not attached on the bottom and the bathroom roof vent leaks. I call and talk to service adviser and she tell me she will call me back. She never did I called her back 4 days later. Made an appointment apparently I got the days wrong. Well they finally get it and I call to see the progress and she says she will call me back and does not do so. I called her back and now I have to wait for warranty to except the repair. What !! Jon immediatly answered all our questions, conducted a video walk through, and offered to pick me up at the airport the following week. I took him up on the offer and we sealed the deal, (contingent on me seeing it in person). Jon was fully transparent throughout the process, helped us work through a few small challenges, and delivered as promised. I brought my camper van for an estimate after scraping the side and causing damage to the sewer system. A young man took pictures of the damage and I was told a technician would review the photos and determine the parts and labor required. I paid $210, non-refundable but to be credited to the repair. I called to follow-up after two weeks and was told the quote wasn't completed because they were working out differences with my insurance company. After another 29 days and four follow-up calls, I received my quote: $46,550. My insurance company had estimated $7,600. The quote was hard to understand. There were no labor/hour breakdowns and parts were listed by number, no description. The labor total was listed as "Miscellaneous": $30,810. I asked the service representative for more details and she mentioned replacing the driver's side door, which doesn't need replacing. I said I was taken aback by the price and she said there was a lot of work to be done and it is a Mercedes. I told her no, it is a Ram. I asked for a better breakdown of costs so I could understand the extent of the work. She agreed and said she would work on it the next day. That was a week ago and I haven't heard back. Seeking a more reasonable quote, I visited two other RV repair facilities. One quoted $15,000 and the other, $6,500. In both cases, a technician looked at the van and the estimates were free. When hearing the Blue Compass quote, one technician asked if it was based on photos only and shook his head when I said yes. Blue Compass charged me for a poorly written quote without a technician looking at my RV. It took 42 days to get it. The insurance check came before I received the Blue Compass quote. When I called trying to finally get the quote, the service representative asked if I had received the insurance check yet. Yes. Well, get it to us so we can start ordering parts. This was before I knew the Blue Compass quote was $39,000 more than the insurance company authorization. I'm grateful I didn't follow her instructions. read more

For that reason, I recommend you RUN, NOT WALK, from RV One Albany. There are systemic issues at RV One Albany that prevent quality customer service (for us, it prevented ANY customer service). In April 2022, we were told they could get our unit in for diag right away and repairs would be made as soon as any necessary parts. Their friendly response gave us optimism that we'd have repairs completed in a timely fashion (or at all). None of it was to be, and their friendly outward-facing demeanor was quickly replaced by rude and falsities (outright lies) about warranty claims, part orders/receipts and an absolute disdain for truly helping get our rig repairs completed. WE confirmed items with our warranty company on items approved, WE confirmed the parts had been delivered when RV One Albany said they were waiting for receipt, WE worked with the warranty company to confirm we could switch to another dealership due our absolute loss of faith in RV One Albany. WE will never come back, and hope readers of this review can avoid such a debacle. You owe it to yourself and your rig! Again, RUN, don't walk, AWAY. I recently bought a pop-up camper from them and it was the worst buying experience I have ever had in my life. From the original sale in which they forgot to order features we wanted to not knowing where the camper was when they said it was delivered, to not understanding how the unit worked or how to operate. I was simply exhausted at the end and won't be going back. Update: Even worse we went camping and found a leak in the water line and brought it to them to fix, they said they fixed it, I checked a week later and still leaking, took it back and they said they fixed it this time. We went camping and the leak was worse and water pooled into the camper and damaged the wood interior. They also closed the top of the photo on the canvas and put a hole in it and tried to blame us and say it was embers from the fire that burned through. Run from this dealer. In January we ordered an Airstream Atlas from Sales Manager Larry Ashley. We told him that we were ready to purchase from another dealer for a highly competitive price, but he really wanted the sale. I told him he'd have to give me his best price, which turned out to be tens of thousands more than the other dealer, so I laughed and gave him back the sheet. After 2 more quotes (so what's the *real* "best price"?) he finally beat the other dealer, and we ordered the RV, putting a refundable $5K deposit on our credit card. A month later, we canceled the order, and Mr. Ashley promised to put in for the $5,000 refund the next day. After three months of emails and calls asking for the status of the refund, he stopped responding. Three months later, I called the credit card company, explained the situation in detail and received a credit for the deposit that day. The credit card company will, of course, research the situation, but I have all the emails, and RV One Superstores in Latham cannot dispute the facts. Stay away from this dealership! read more

When you need service on your RV it's impossible to talk with a Service Advisor.They want you to open a service ticket on line. So I did open a ticket on line on August 15th and received an automate reply. The following day I received the following email "I am in receipt of your customer service request and I will speak with the technician that installed the system in the morning and get back to you." It is not September 17th a full month later and I still have not received a call. read more
