I used to give Blue Cow 5 stars but they seem to have been going downhill the last couple of years. The drive through "auto wash" does ok but a really good wash requires that hand brush attention at the beginning. That is where attention to the DETAILS, where the auto wash just does NOT get, is so important. Those Nooks and crannies, behind the bug shield, recessed areas like on the rear around the license plate, etc. Does anyone actually get trained to do that vehicle "pre-scub"? I also miss the car freshener they used to hand out. I'll still go there but I just don't refer them to my friends like I used to. read more

This is my go-to wash, but it's kinda gone downhill in the last couple of years. They still have lots of automated wash options to choose from. The "Basic" is $12 and the "Kitchen Sink" is $22, with a couple of other options in between. I usually get the "Supreme" for $15, which gets the job done without a lot of extra bells & whistles. They also still have the free vacuums, which is my favorite thing about this place. No worrying about having enough quarters to get the whole car done before the dreaded beep-beep-beeeeeeeep. But the cleanliness factor has really gone down. I was there yesterday (along with half the population of the valley) and the vacuum area was disgusting. There was dirt and garbage all over the pavement. They also should consider opening a second or even third location, because this place gets so busy (especially on sunny days). Yesterday I waited in line for 20 minutes to get my wash. The layout is also odd. If the self-service wash bays are all in use and the line to get in to the automated wash is long, there is literally NO way to drive your car from the end of the automated wash back to the vacuums. Finally, they've gotten rid of the vending machine with the convenient little packets of Windex and Armor-All. Will I keep coming here? Yes, unless a better option comes along. And maybe they're just banking on that. read more

For what I pay monthly I feel the quality of your car wash has gone down alot!!! It took me 10 minutes to scrub bug guts off my windshield and front of my car. Blonde with a skirt on about 9:40 didn't scrub my car with brush, was impatient and rude! I f she doesn't like working with public get another job. I sometimes drive all the way to your anacortas car wash because of the issues I have mentioned. read more

They so cheap they turn off their vacuums so you can use their self service car wash, it says you can use their vacuums with a car wash, but they don't tell you they turn off their vacuums at a certain time so I wash my car and then can't even vacuum. If you're so worried about people using your vacuums without paying for a car wash then make it so we can at least pay to use them or that they will turn on if we buy a car wash bc it's just ridiculous how it's set up right now. I used to love blue cow. Now they just awful. The timers on the self wash are set so short you can't even finish rinsing the car off and are forced to buy a second wash. I will no longer be using their services, I'd rather drive to Anacortes to go to Bubba Suds where you can actually finish your car wash with one purchase and their vacuums are always on, they are by far more superior. read more

Blue Cow Carwash is really amazing! They have great value for money. I was glad to find them as I had a coupon for a free wash from my dealer after a maintenance appointment. The best part is that they have free vacuums after getting a wash and you don't have to keep swiping a card every few minutes. It's a really near car wash to stop at when going to/back from Vancouver to Seattle. Definitely recommend going to them if you're in the area! read more

Went through here two days ago. My truck wasn't very dirty to start with. They didn't use the brush on the front and didn't use the brush on the wheels. Got home. My truck still dirty paid for the 18 wash. Tried to call them the phone number don't work. This isn't the first time this is happened. I recently bought an unlimited wash pass for my wife's new car. We have the "kitchen sink" wash and that is the top wash offered. I just took her car through for the first time. I was expecting something different I guess. What I was expecting was the usual wash tunnel and someone at the end wiping the car down and dressing the tires. What I got was a guy waving me into the tunnel and pre-soaking the car with a pressure wand. Nothing else. I had to wipe down and vacuum myself. I wash and vacuum my own car but I wanted to get the wife a "full service" wash. I guess that is what qualifies as full service in this state. Washington car washes can learn a thing or two from a full service California car wash. I guess what counts is my Bride likes driving up going through the tunnel without having to pay every time. It's a good deal if you can make it in a few times a month. read more

Looked all over for a car wash as we are not from the area. I have a large dually truck. I looked on Yelp and Google and only saw a height restriction. I looked and read everything I could see and saw NO signage talking about duallys. I pulled in and fit through all clearances including curbs with room to spare. Paid for the Kitchen Sink wash. Pulled up and it was my turn. By now, they got very busy and a line to the street. One of the guys comes up and tells me he's sorry he didn't see me coming so he could tell me that don't let duallys in the tunnel. There is NO exit lane. There's a small pathway with bushes and the building that a small car could go through but not a full size car let alone a truck without scratching on the bushes then go through the vacuum area. So I asked him what he wanted me to do. He wanted me to back up all the way out. Two other vehicles were behind me through the pay gate and the line before the gate, still out the street. I asked if he was kidding and he said no, he'll just have everyone back up to let me out! Are you kidding? What a mess that would have been. FORTUNATELY for me and the other customers, my truck bed is being replaced due to damage I had. I told the guy the only way out is to drive over the bush. He said that was fine. So I drove my Ram through the landscape, three point turn to position it so I can make it through the vacuum poles. A woman next to me where I waited for my refund told me her car got scratched just now there. I asked the guy why there was nothing to indicate that even though you fit through the clearances, duallys aren't allowed. He acknowledged that I he didn't know and that they should have at least something that says NO DUALLYS. Put out a sign. Simple. Total Fail. read more

They sit in the office playing on their cell phones while the garbage cans are overflowing and the area around the vacuums desperately needs sweeping. Dear owner, as a former car wash owner and a current customer that has two of their vehicles on a monthly plan, you need to step up your game as far as employee training and expectations. They should not be able to play on their phones except during their lunch break. They could be busy sweeping an empty garbage is and making sure that the vacuum nozzles are actually not clogged. This place is great for the DYI carwash, even if you use the tunnel.... They have two young workers that prewash your vehicle, yes some are really not motivated, but most do a pretty good job. They do not wipe your car down at the end, I have found lots of soap on my car after the rinse, and the air dry... I bring a couple towels to wipe down my own car.... Folks, this is not a full service car wash, go to this place expecting this, so you will not be disappointed.... I love it for the convenance and then I go home to finish the rest of the cleaning.... I'm not really sure why this place has bad reviews. My experience was great, when you first pull into the establishment you are greeted with a vacuuming station. There is a sign that says to go through the car wash before cleaning your interior at the station, however everyone vacuums first, free of charge. You're then greeted by a gate with a wash menu. The prices range from $10-$20 depending on your preference. They accept cash and card. You pull forward and there will be two workers who scrub down your car, they will hand you a sanitizing wipe for the inside of your car (with Covid they aren't currently offering wipes). After the staff briefly instruct you where to pull forward you put your car in neutral and sit back to let the car wash begin. I've never had any problems with this establishment and it's the only car was I go to. They have great customer service and everything goes by quickly and effectively. They offer a monthly membership for a good price. If you're a local with a car that gets muddy or dirty often I recommend getting one, my farming friends have them and appreciate the feature. read more

Not sure what the negative reviews are about. It's an automated tunnel, drive thru car wash. It works, my car is as clean as any tunnel-style car wash that works, and quite better than your standard gas station car wash. Vacuums we're out of service when I visited, but are usually included with your wash. $10-$20 range for wash and vacuum. read more

I went here Tuesday afternoon to clean my 016 BMW X3, a small SUV and it cost me $8.00 to go through the entire self cleaning menu and my car really wasn't that dirty. That's Ok they need to make a profit to maintain their equipment and pay for their capital investment however I was mildly surprised at how dirty and kind of run down the business was. So I took my new truck to the blue cow car wash to see how they performed. It was fine, even though they don't hand wipe the vehicle dry. Except when I got out and looked at the sides of the truck there was some kind of oil up a high as the side mirrors from the wheel polish application. I paid for the full works thinking I we getting the best job. Ha! Called all day Wednesday. None picked up. Went by the carwash and explained to the kids what happened. We have been coming there for over six months (mt vernon), we only make it there 2 to 3 times a month unfortunately. We pay for the kitchen sink wash which is the most expensive one you have. Now they have changed the rules so that you can only go through one time?? Well one time just doesn't cut it. With the rain and the mud, your car will not come clean with just one wash. I purchased a full month of unlimited "Kitchen Sink" washes at the end of January. However, my first two washes I had to wash the car again on the sides (lower area) and on the front and back bumpers. I tip generously each time I go. The third time, I told the kid who was directing me through what happened, and asked if they could make sure to use their brush on the lower areas of my car. I asked nicely, but his first response was, "We can't go UNDER the car!" I kindly explained that it wasn't under the car, but instead on the side door panels and basic bumper area. He looked at me like he could care less, said nothing to the other kid who was washing my car and then just stood there as my car went through. I had to re-wash my car AGAIN. There doesn't seem to be a way to cancel without going to the car wash in person. I have the receipt from the first day but there is no phone number or website listed on the "Auto Recharge Authorization slip." It does say I have to give written notice to them, though there is no indication where this written notice should be sent to. It's WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, crappy car wash, and run by kids who could care less. The very last time I went (I paid for a month...thought I'd at least get something out of it!) I went through the gate and waited and waited and wait...for 10 minutes! There was no one manning the car wash. I backed up and was about to get out of my car, when I could see the kid texting on his phone in the office. He finally looked up and ran out there with another kid and ushered me through.
