What a joke. Asked ridiculous amount when they weren't even sure of the building codes.

Wow! Luis can do pretty much anything, and he does it all with professionalism and care! He did…read moreEXCELLENT work for us on several projects. The main project was to replace more than two dozen rotting boards and the steps on our 20-year-old deck, ensure the structural integrity of the deck, and jack up a corner of the deck that had sunk a couple of inches. He also power-washed the deck and the siding of the house that faced the deck. We also needed work done indoors. He repaired a door frame to a bedroom, fixed a broken storm door, replaced marble tile in our foyer, installed a missing sliding closet door, and procured and installed beautiful luxury plank vinyl flooring for a bedroom. He communicated clearly with us throughout every project, made suggestions when he saw something that needed improvement, and always checked with us when a decision needed to be made. In every situation, he did high-quality work in a very timely fashion. He always arrived when he said he would, made sure that the times were convenient for us, and always left the work area clean and organized. Luis is friendly, honest, communicative, reliable, trustworthy, polite, and highly skilled. We highly recommend Luis and his crew, and we would hire him again without hesitation.

He was professional, reliable, and paid great attention to detail throughout the project. The finished result looks fantastic, and the workmanship is top-notch. I would highly recommend him for any deck or general handyman work and would not hesitate to hire him again.

We…read morehave several issues that included workmen at various times named Teddy, Harvey, and Tony. Each handyman was cut out of the same mold - on time, respectful, upfront on costs, and superior work skills. Recently, Tony was brought to our house as the dry wall in the garage was about to fall. Mr. Handyman office quickly notified Tony who drove immediately to our house and began the work to repair. Afterwards we asked him to rework the drywall and support for the whole garage, repair all paneling after 33 years of neglect, and paint ceiling and rest of the garage. Tony was personable, extremely neat, kept us informed of his progress, and delivered an unbelievable sight of richness to our garage. As he was leaving I asked Tony if he could add handles to the shower area even though this was not on his work order. He did so willingly and worked overtime to be sure we were pleased. This is the type of workmanship that everyone should know about, and all pricing is up front before work begins. We will definitely be using Mr. Handyman for our future needs. The Seippels

My emails were answered within minutes. When I called with a quick question about materials for the job, the question was promptly addressed. I cannot recommend this company enough to anyone who needs to check off items on their to do list.

We spent…read morea lot of time with Tanya going over the design and mostly wound up where we wanted to be. I agree with the other 3 star review person. None of the workers doing the construction work for Dfine. In fact one of them told us no habla ingles, indicating he only spoke Spanish. Highly suggest you find any other firm to do the actual construction. I've never had an issue with Brothers Services or Tim Kyle Electric. If you want the job done right you need a firm that has employees who are vested in the project results and speak English. Dfine's use of contractors that don't work for Dfine is a mistake from the outset. We had delays and eventually had to negotiate a final payment since not all work contracted for was completed or some services were overpriced after checking with other firms. And some work for which I requested a quote so I could check with another firm was simply done without providing a quote for which I had to pay extra for. And Ahmet, while an owner, was never a project manager. In fact there was no project manager watching over daily work. Allied Remodeling at least offers that, where one of the owners reviews the daily work and any communications. I did eventually outsource some of the work to trusted firms like Tim Kyle and Anderson Windows. Did I pay more? Yes. Did I get the work that I expected? Yes. If Dfine somehow convinces you to go with their work crew, insist that David is the primary person who deals with the work. Still not a project manager, but a cut above the rest of what they have to offer. Anyone else is a joke. The design work done by Dfine was thoughtful. The construction could have been much better. And a word about what you think you want. Marble on any part of the remodel looks great. It is however cold as hell to the touch. In the kitchen during winter the counter tops are always cold. And try backing into a cold wall in the shower. It can be shocking. You may want to consider alternatives. There are plenty of firms that can get work done in a day without using marble. My upgrade from the 1960s was better than it was. Not perfect.
