Chef Stefan surprised me with THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS CAKE. The cake was fluffy and light. Honestly, i'm having trouble finding the right words because really the whole experience was PERFECTION. Chef Stefan was so warm and welcoming, he treated each of my children to a special confection. Where do I start! Ordering from Blue Dolfin Sweets was an overwhelmingly positive experience. I am blown away by Chef Stefan - I felt like he understood how much I care for the recipient and did everything he could to make the cake special. I called this morning to place an order for a large cheesecake for my friend's birthday. He not only fit me in for a same day delivery, but called me after he delivered the cake to let me know no one was home. That's when I realized I had given him the wrong address! Instead of being super annoyed with me (which I would have been in his shoes), he was super nice and patiently waited for me to find the right address. The cake itself was astonishingly beautiful. You can see how much skill and care went into every detail. He even added a collection of assorted pastries to help make my friend's day even more special. This bakery talks a good game. He claims his bake goods are the best all natural ingredients. DON'T use him for any affairs he doesn't show up. The most important day of my daughter life her wedding, we paid the blue dolphin 700.00 dollars for a sweet table with 300 dessert pieces and a wedding cake. The wedding cake arrive but not the sweet table. Call him several times and never received a call back. I call the local acme and they deliver and assortment of sweets. I recently drove by this bakery and then my husband gave me a gift certificate for my birthday (I love bakeries!) so I went to try it out. First thing that happens is the owner gives me and my son each a free banana muffin from the cooling rack. Then he gives one to the other customer who walked in right after us. It was fabulous! We knew we couldn't go wrong here so we decided to try a bunch of things. Cannoli, brownies, cupcakes, muffins--all delicious. And let me tell you about the blueberry muffin...I have never seen so many blueberries in one muffin! (Look at my photos--you'll see!) It was perfectly moist and had just the right amount of crumb topping. Perfection! I love knowing that all of the items were fresh and made without chemicals and preservatives--just like old fashioned bakeries! If you are ever in the Marmora -Ocean city NJ area you have to stop in to this little french bakery on Rt. 9 in Marmora. I just happened upon it looking for a bakery and I have to tell you this place has the best tasting baked goods I have ever had!! The owner was very nice and personable and let me sample one of his mouse filled petite cake slices. I highly recommend the raspberry and chocolate petite cake squares! When you first bite into the slice it was very soft and cloud like. Then, after a second, a burst of amazing natural raspberry flavor pops out. Followed by a crisp chocolate after taste. Wow, I can't believe this place hasn't been reviewed yet. We chat with the owner, Stefan, each time we go, and he takes pride in using only pure ingredients. For example, he makes all the peach pies from scratch including the gelatin! Hands down, our favorite is the fruit tart made each morning. Stefan is also incredibly generous, sharing samples and extras. He clearly loves what he does and just wants to share food with the world.
