I stopped by Nauti Donuts on National Donut Day while heading down to Cape May. I tried the "Captain's French Toast" donut topped with maple icing, cinnamon sugar, and powdered sugar and my boyfriend had the "Rogue Wave," which is topped with Oreo crumbles and vanilla icing. Plus, we got a free chocolate glazed donut for the occasion! The donuts were fresh, warm, and fried to perfection. Service was really friendly. An employee even came outside to offer napkins, which was a nice touch. The shop has a cute beachy, coastal vibe, and there are a few tables and chairs outside to enjoy your treats. Oh WOW! We went for a mid morning walk and ended up at Nauti Donuts! It was a hard, hard, hard decision to make a choice of just 2 each! They came to us warm and fresh! 10/10 holy cannoli ... I literally waded through a foot of water to get here last weekend. The donuts are hot, freshly made, and custom to order. Their combinations are inventive, colorful, and delicious. The storefront caught my eye as I was on my way to the deli across the street and I had to stop in! Obviously this place specializes in the former, but is that necessarily the best? The five star rating this place garnished along with its listing as top 25 donut places made me venture to this spot. I got the maple glazed donuts one with pork roll and the other with bacon because after all what's a donut without a heavily salted pork product on top. In search of a good donut, we trekked down to try these. The spot is fresh, bright, open and just felt NEW. Service was fast and friendly. It was a bit confusing to order so we tried a chocolate icing, cinnamon sugar, and an anchors aweigh special donut. This was a spot serving made to order cake donuts. All donuts had the same base with a lot of different options to choose from regarding coatings, toppings, and drizzles. They were fried appropriately and came out very warm which really made the donuts as a whole that much better. Besides getting donuts customized, they also had a number of their own creations which was called the Nauti dozen ($21?). The Nauti dozen was ordered. I tried 4 and my thoughts on each are below. The Salty Dog - This had maple icing, pork roll, and a salted caramel drizzle. I was most interested in trying this one because of the pork roll and I never ate a donut with it before. The maple icing was nice, but the pork roll did not do much here. It was kind of just there. PB & J Jellyfish - This was made up of a glaze, raspberry jelly, and a peanut butter drizzle. The jelly was the key here as it was very flavorful. The peanut butter was solid, but just not enough. The Lifesaver - This one was topped with cinnamon sugar, spiced apple, and a salted caramel drizzle. This was definitely my favorite one tried. The sweetness of the cinnamon sugar really went nicely with the fresh apple, just a great combination. Chipwrecked - There was a strawberry icing with chocolate chips present. It just tasted all like chocolate to me. There was a lack of strawberry taste. Due to the warm donut, the chocolate chips melted nicely into the donut. Will I go back? Definitely. read more

Came here for the free donut and coffee if you check in with Yelp. Parking wasn't too hard at 1pm and everything is street parking. You are right by the shore and close to other breakfast shops. This place closes at 2 pm, so better get there while you can. There is a large selection of donut specialities and you can also create your own. I got the dark roast coffee which was really good! I got 3 donuts: The salty dog: maple icing, pork roll, and salted caramel drizzle was probably my favorite out of the 3. The ham gave a salter taste to a sweet treat. The captain french toast: cinnamon sugar and powder, wasn't too spectacular compared to the salty dog. Still good. Rogue Wave: vanilla icing with Oreo crumbles. I tried Nauti donuts for the first time over the weekend (thanks to the free coffee and donut from Yelp!) and it was sooo good! We split 3 donuts I can't remember the names but one was chocolate chip, second was peanut butter and jelly, and third had pork roll. We devoured them. The donuts are cakey and extremely moist. I wouldn't say they have the crisp outside like some of the other traditional donut shops on the boardwalk. The toppings are super fun but you can get regular flavors as well. In my opinion the coffee was just okay, but they do have 2 roasts and espresso drinks as well. I was able to get a cafe au lait with oat milk which was nice! Def. recommend! read more

I can't say enough good things about Nauti Donuts. I've visited Nauti Donuts several time and each time I'd as good as the last. You can "make your own" donut and all the toppings you'd like or you can choose fork their specialty menu (which is amazing!). Picture is The Lifesaver. The Livesaver includes a cinnamon topping, spiced apples, salted caramel, and I added bacon (because who passes on the bacon). I should note that Nauti Donut is seasonal. Street parking is available but can be tricky to navigate in the summer months (depending on the time you go). Nauti Donuts is, however, away from Ocean City's main strip and close to the beach. This place has great donuts. It is a combination of the fractured prune and Brown's. I think I prefer the basic donuts with just a glaze (like Browns), but both are good. I couldn't believe that I had not yet written a review of this place. I had to share how awesome this place is. I have long been fan of traditional Ocean City doughnuts (Browns, Oves, Dot's, etc) but this place may have them all beat. The owner, Chris, is often in the shop and makes point of greeting people and helping them navigate the menu (no pun intended). Youcan't go wrong with anything on their menu: each donut starts as a fresh, hot, fried cake donut and is then topped while you wait. I typically go for standard icing and sprinkles donuts but my favorite at Nauti is probably the Salty Dog because it is so unique! It is their take on a Maple Bacon donut but comes with Pork Roll instead - because New Jersey. Definitely check this place out. I think that this may be THE must-eat thing in Ocean City now. As the Boardwalk gets gobbles up by Jilly's and the other couple families that own everything, Nauti Donuts is a reminder of what Ocean City used to be: small, family-owned business sharing what they love with vacationers and residents alike. read more

It's a similar operation to Duck Donuts and Fractured Prunes where they make your donuts to order. They are warm, fresh, and delicious! We tried 5 or 6 different varieties, but my favorite was the Salty Dog, which has a South Jersey touch to it. It consists of maple icing, salted caramel drizzle, and chopped pieces of pork roll (and I'm a huge fan of pork roll).
