This clean and well-managed pastry and breakfast spot was very good. It is much cleaner and more efficient than your run of the mill place for a breakfast sammy. The line moves quickly because of several registers and a few hand held order entry devices. The young girl taking my order repeated it back to verify it. You pickup your coffee inside and your food from a window outside. Smart to get people out of the building while they wait. They have several people making coffee drinks so the wait is a few minutes at most. You get a text when your food is ready. Parking is always a challenge on SIC so swing around onto E. Landis because there are a few parking spots. We had a sausage, egg and cheese and a bacon egg and cheese and a dark road coffee with a shot of espresso. Everything was very good, although pricey. Breakfast sammies are my go-to move when I'm on vacation. I've had hundreds in many places and feel I'm qualified to nit pick. It looks like they pre-cook a lot to cut down the wait time. The bacon could have been crispier. Too much cheese on both. The eggs should be a little runny. The sausage sammy only needs one patty and not two and maybe one that is thinner. I didn't have any pastries, but they looked very good. My score is based on service, coffee, breakfast sammies. My above order with a half-dozen bagels was $45. read more

I had the ham and cheese quiche and it was delicious. I also ordered a chai latte and it was really good. Besides the great service, I got to meet the house pet. Butters who is lovely.... We arrived around 1PM on a Sunday and I shared an egg, cheese, and pork roll sandwich on a multigrain croissant and the crookie (cookie croissant)! While the crookie was a little too sweet for my liking the breakfast sandwich was delicious but definitely a little pricey. They were all out of the bagels when we arrived. read more

First visit to Shorebreak during a recent SIC visit and it was "eh". It was great to have a nice place within walking distance of our place and has nice outdoor seating. The order flow needs some work as the inside gets clogged up with guests waiting for their orders. I was disappointed with the Lavazza offering and would think that a local roaster would elevate the Shorebreak's coffee substantially. I went with the iconic Jersey crumb cake, great topping and flavor but the cake was dry. I'm not going to let my first visit define my impression of Shorebreak as I will be returning to try more baked good offerings! read more

Cute place!! This review is solely based on the pop tart. It was very good. The pastry was light and flaky. The filling (either strawberry or cherry) was delicious. The frosting was extremely sweet. I don't have much of a sweet tooth so I'm probably not the best one to judge. We'll be back to try the other items. The menu looks amazing. I definitely need to try the breakfast sandwiches. Finally made our way over to this new cafe this summer. This is a great little spot. They have breakfast pastries, breakfast sandwiches, desserts, ice cream and coffee. We came for breakfast. My husband and I both got muffins. My daughter got something that was like a pop tart. Our muffins were great. I tried my daughter's pop tart and loved it. Not something I would've ordered but it was delicious. My husband had a coffee and he said it was fine, nothing special but I don't think the main attraction here is coffee. They also were out of cold brew. They had so many desserts that looked good too like key lime pie and cupcakes. This is definitely worth checking out. This was a "find". Wife and I have been exploring different coffee shop options along the Jersey shore. Yesterday we found a great place you should try. We were greeted warmly and got to see the beautiful and mouth watering breakfast sweets. That included cookies, crumb cake, muffins, scones, croissants and much more. I am a scone and strong coffee fan and my wife loves a good chocolate croissant and cappuccino. Our wishes and needs were met and superseded. I got a lemon currant scone that was delicious. It was moist enough in the middle with a crispy exterior and topped with sugar. The Lavazza coffee dark brew was delicious. No chocolate croissants available but the chocolate babka was recommended and was amazing. Not sure we will go back to chocolate croissants after eating this. It was incredible! It's like a brioche muffin with a chocolate swirl that will satisfy any chocoholics needs. She capped it off with with a delicious cappuccino. Lastly I was thinking crumb cake but new that would just be excessive. Instead an alternative was presented by the lovely ladies working. Crumb bites which basically are the crumb topping rolled into what looks like cake balls. So the best feature of crumb cake rolled onto a bite sized ball! Mind blowing! Brought them home and enjoyed. The ladies behind the counter were wonderful and very helpful when trying to make these hard choices. My friends and I are long time Sea Isle goers constantly chasing the latest spot for a good breakfast sandwich and tasty coffee. These places seem to open and close every season down here. After one of my girlfriends saw a review of Shorebreak on an online blog we decided to check it out. We were also intrigued by the location, replacing the package store, we couldn't wait to see what kind of face lift this place has gotten. On the first visit my girlfriend got a bunch of pastries, including the cinnamon bun, which she said was absolutely delicious. She also raved about the nitro coffee. We had to go back for more! Yesterday 5 of us stopped in and all got slightly different egg sandwiches on croissants along with bold brew and nitro coffees. They were all AWESOME! I specifically got egg, turkey sausage, and swiss cheese on a multigrain croissant. The whole thing was cooked to perfection, including the egg fried over hard just how I like it. I'm sure you could ask for specific modifications, as everything appeared to be cooked fresh. All of the pastries in the display looked absolutely divine as well, but I didn't try any. I had a cold brew coffee and my sister got a nitro. Both were delicious, creamy, and excellent quality coffee (Lavazza). Also, the cashier and everyone working that we encountered were delightful. All of the food items were very good and clearly freshly baked; however, we were disappointed in the lattes that we ordered. We ordered Carmel lattes but felt they were lacking in the flavor. My one son ordered a Mocca latte and said the same thing. Not sure if they forgot to put the syrup in or didn't put enough in but we likely wouldn't get the coffee here again. New coffee shop concept with amazing pastries. Has only been open a few weeks now but great experience. The renovation was a welcome addition to the dilapidated building. Very new and clean space. We tried a variety of breakfast pastries. The cinnamon bun with cream cheese frosting was to die for lots of great cinnamon flavor. The savory croissant was also quite good and buttery the best part was it was still warm. We also tried a delicious blueberry muffin , and and an almond croissant which had a wonderful flavor and moist center. We also tried an iced coffee by lavazza the best coffee at the shore by far. Shorebreak is Sea Isle's turquoise gem, I genuinely cannot recommend it enough. My husband and I were attracted to drop in by smelling their current bakes from across the street, and it didn't disappoint; the store is *impeccably* clean, meticulously themed, and staffed by really kind people. We purchased their homemade "Pop Tarts", and they even toasted them up for us on request. We could not believe how good they were, they were a legitimate patisserie implementation of the grocery store classic. Even their drip coffee was shockingly good, not falling back to using "burn roast" beans like practically every coffee or bakery uses. Full bodied while still containing the character and depth that's typically lost in standard brands. We ordered 5 sandwiches this morning for pickup at around 10:30. My daughter went into the shop for pickup and promptly paid. She was told to wait and someone would call her name when the order was ready. She waited OVER AN HOUR for the sandwiches.
