They have good prices on Fruits and Vegetables, been here twice with my service animal and the owner politely asked me to put my service dog in a shopping cart. This is specifically not allowed for health reasons apparently and second too dangerous for my dog. Tried to explain that is a violation of the ADA but he wouldn't hear of it. I said I would no longer come there and report him. Well the DOJ is responsible to enforce the ADA and can fine the store up to $75,000 for first offense but they claim while my complaint is valid they will take no action. Also notified Ken Paxton's office-awaiting response. read more

If i could give negative stars i would. They are so incredibly rude and their produce rots outside for months at a time. They never bring their produce inside. The place smells terrible and overall its a terrible store. Do not shop here read more

1/5 - Disappointing Customer Service from the Owner I had a very unpleasant experience at Blue Fig Store today, DATED 3/5/2025 I asked the owner to confirm the price of a juice, and he told me 2 for $10--which means $5 each. I mentioned that I had previously bought the same juice for $2.99 at Epic Store, and he seemed frustrated. Then, when he rang up yogurt for $7.99, I noticed a handwritten price of $4.99 on the cooler door. When I politely asked him to confirm the price, he became exhausted and told me GET OUT. I simply asked for clarification, and instead of handling the situation professionally, he started shouting even after I left. The salespersons at the store are very polite and well-behaved, but unfortunately, the owner lacks basic customer service skills. If you visit this store, always double-check the prices--but be warned, asking the owner might cost you your respect. Would not recommend based on this experience. read more

This is a great little Middle Eastern supermarket! They have a variety of different spices, snacks, naan, pita bread, and halal meat products! Their beef looks super fresh and the prices aren't crazy either. If you're looking to branch out to different cuisines, this is a good place to visit! read more

Wonder market very friendly staff. Lots of Mediterranean eastern foods that are hard to find it was a treat.

Decent selection of your typical Ziyad, Sabah, etc products...until you realize you are playing minesweeper with expired goods. There were flies flying around in their meat section also. read more

When I'm traveling and don't have the comforts of my grocery stores and restaurants nearby, my go to is Yelp. I use Yelp for everything to find what the locals are talking about. I was craving for healthy Middle Eastern goodies and Blue Fig came up on Yelp. We ventured to this store located in a sparse shopping center in the middle of beautiful homes. What we found... Ample parking Clean interior and for its small space it certainly carries many essential items: Home made flat bread - a must! It's baked on the old stone round ovens. I found rose water used for cooking in savory dishes and even in the sweets I bake. A tip for you ladies, the rose water in Middle Eastern markets are well priced and I use it as a toner for my face. I found some frozen Indian Roti in the frozen section amongst many other international goodies. Also, my favorite Turkish cheese or Lebanese cheese Labneh was priced well. Also got a can of garbanzo beans to make home made hummus. Definitely a must to go here if you are in the area. All the prices were reasonable. Why 4 star and not 5. There was only one cashier open and she was talking to another worker as the lines started to get longer. As for service you will have to look for it and ask questions. Overall a good first time experience and got all the necessary items we needed. I almost forgot, they have a small fresh fruits and vegetables section. Enjoy! read more

Excellent Alhamdullilah! The meat is very fresh. I wanted Ox Tail which is very hard to get because one cow yields about 3lbs. I was promised that I would receive a call as soon as it was ready. I was also told that what I wanted was in high demand. I walked away thinking -yeah sure, I am new to the area and would be forgotten as soon as I walked away-I got the call 2 days later to come and pick up my package. I arrived at the store to watch the meat being cut fresh and packaged. I am treated with kindness and respect from Blue Fig- Very Clean Highly Recommended! read more

Precovid- I would have given this place a 4-5 star because of their customer service and clean store, and have been going here instead of Sara bakery since they have opened. In pandemic times-on 2 separate occasions I've seen EMPLOYEES walking around or working in the butcher area with their mask on their chin. The second time the employee saw me, gave me a look and continued on his business without putting it back on. If you expect customers to wear masks, you should be reinforcing a zero tolerance policy when it comes to your employees. I needed ground beef but couldn't get it bc this gentleman was standing there and I didn't feel comfortable in this small store going around him. Please educate your employees and be part of the solution. Also, my family member noticed the same thing last week and CALLED your manager to tell them, but clearly nothing has been done. Prices are ridiculous high. Moreover I picked up an item with the price clearly marked it and it rang up higher. The cashier said that the items come marked but they don't sell them at the marked price. What's the logic. read more

I love this store. Last week I bought a whole chicken. I brought it home, cut it in half, and baked it. The chicken was fresh, no strident lines from being grown to fast, and tasted the way chickens of my youth tasted. I also bought a basil seed drink. It was fun, and tasty. A great cocktail and alternative to alcohol on a special night, or just to treat yourself nice. My other favorites are the deli meats and the canned pickle. I canned get enough of the canned pickles, yum. The customer service is beyond good. If you make a suggestion, they listen. Give them a try. It is great to see locally owned businesses in the area, and support them. When you shop at there, you are voting for great service! read more

This place is amazing!! I get deli meat from here..my daughter fell asleep on the way to Blue fig. This place is 20 mins away from my house. I decided to call blue fig and let them know of the situation. I told them that I was in the parking lot with a sleeping baby. The employee brought out my deli meat to the car!! If you purchase something in this store you can not return or exchange!!!!! I purchased olive and taste it when I come back to home. Taste was moldy and and not good. I found a receipt because I am planing to return it. I call the store, they said You can not return it all sale is FINAL. What? I want to return same day! not 2 or 3 months!!! Where is the customer satisfaction??? They said you can call the supplyer which is Ziyad brothers in Chicago!!! Why I have to contact your suppleyer. Why you are not???? This is a walk down memory lane for all those born and or raised in the Middle East. I literally spent almost 1 hour walking up and down each isle. This place used to be good when opened last year. But their customer service is on constant decline. They don't greet you at the door anymore, dont say thank you at the register, and are very reluctant to honor their own coupons. Now if you spoke Arabic it might be a different story. So far we have been supporting them but not anymore!!! I think the initial success got the better of them. I ma sure they know that they have competition with other halal meet markets all over Plano and Richardson area. Unhappy customers wont take long to find other options....at least we would. read more

I started coming here to save time as opposed to going to Sara bakery. It is a quick in and out, the store is stocked and always clean. But at least on couple occasions I have had some issue with the item ringing up a different price than what was stated. One time they had the product in two places with two different prices and I had picked up from the section where the price was cheaper. Another time it ended up that the product label on the shelf was for the wrong product and not the one I was buying. The way they handled the situation made it seem like it was my fault. Another time the rice I bought was full with bugs, but I couldn't exchange as they have final sale policy. I have reduced my shopping here and stop by only when time is of the essence and only for an item or two. read more
