Seating wise it was mainly couches and nice chairs, but the tables there are small and they are mainly more coffee tables so studying or getting work done here is a bit iffy. Initially I talked to the older lady behind the counter and she ignored me. Not even looking at me. I was .. hm .. Dubai tiramisu had no price listed, when we paid it rang up as $12.99 ouch. For a piece. Saffron tea cost $1 more because there was two strands of saffron in it. Didn't really taste the saffron. Otherwise the tea tasted good but then again, to brew 2 cups of tea took 15 min ? Baklava pistachio $7 as advertised. You can't say my craving for karak tea is not genuine as I visited two different middle eastern coffee places back to back in two days. I ordered of course their karak tea here. Glad to find out that that they didn't add any sugar to their tea. Instead they have sugar at each table. In some places they put in just too much sugar - much more than I like. The tea was smooth and creamy with a nice earthy flavor. I also had a small piece of baklava. It was moist, chewy with a nutty flavor of pistachios. It was not overly sweet or syrupy like some you get from other places. The gentleman at the counter who took my order was super friendly and liked my choice of karak tea as a first time visitor. The inside looks very clean and comfy with all the padded chairs and a couple of long couches against the wall and piano music playing in the background. Service was great and everyone was welcoming like myself. The food was absolutely delicious at which you could tell it was made with love. And the atmosphere was lovely. The decor was full of vibrant colors including the green wall, sofas and chairs. Did I mention it was my first time trying Turkish food. Needless to say, it won't be my last. I love this place so much. The service is amazing and the food and drinks are incredible. I asked for recommendations and ended up with zaatar and cheese flatbread which is around 9 in. In diameter. It was so good! It's so flavorful and tasty and everything is made to order so it was hot and toasty. I got a Karak tea which was my first time drinking it. It wasn't sweet at all and tasted so good. nice hangout spot/cafe with famous tea and decent savory and sweet bites Karak is located in a store complex with a lot of parking. The cafe has both outdoor and indoor seatings. Inside has a lot of aesthetic seatings with wall decor and a great group setting. Service is friendly. The menu consists of both savory bites like different types of manakeesh, or flatbreads, different samosa fillings, wraps, and sweet items like baklava and cakes. They also offer a variety of teas and juices. We got the Karak tea, their most popular one, Zaatar flatbread, kefta flatbread, halal pepperoni flatbread, spinach flatbread, keema paratha, halloumi samosa, Chana chaat samosa, aloo (potato) samosa, keema samosa, noodles samosa, assortment of baklava, assortment of Turkish delight, and their pistachio cake. Keema wrap was good. This is a new menu item of their's, keema was a little garam masala-type spicy, but not too much, and paratha was very flaky. Karak tea was classic, we've had the tea before and it's pretty good, with notes of cardamom. For the flatbreads, the halal pepperoni was a family favorite. It's cheesy, and most importantly, they don't skimp on the pepperoni, they had a good amount. The pepperoni is also juicy and doesn't dry up fast. Spinach flatbread was also delicious. Kefta was a divided one, most of our family liked it, but I thought it was okay. Zaatar one was also good, but eat it hot because it gets a little tough when cold. For the samosas, the noodles samosa was surprisingly savory and delicious! I've never had a noodles-filled samosa before, so I was sort of skeptical, but I really liked it. I'll definitely be ordering it again. Halloumi was also good. Chana chaat and aloo samosas were both good, standard at what you would expect. Keema one was a little spicy. For the desserts, pistachio cake was delicious! It was moist and both fillings complimented each other very well. They were some pistachios in it, but not too much either. Also a family favorite now. I'm not a fan of Turkish delights usually, but these were good. I liked the different flavors offered and they tasted fresher than the other ones I've had. Baklava was good too, my favorite being the walnut and pistachio ones. They also had a chocolate and milk one, but you do have to eat them quickly, otherwise it becomes very soggy. Super cute little cafe/eatery! The menu is very expansive with everything from espresso, to freshly squeezed juice, to even arabic style pizza! They even have different middle eastern style chips/sodas you can purchase by the counter. I ordered the Turkish coffee and chicken puff pastry. The pastry was delicious and crispy, and it was the perfect size and price for a little brunch pick me up. This is a real hidden gem. The inside decor is so very cute, very inviting and cozy. The owner was so very friendly and patient with me and explained all the drinks- I got the karak tea and it was SO SO SO good - I'm a big tea snob so the blend of the spices was just perfect. The milk made it naturally sweet, which I prefer over sweetened teas. The baklava was also delicious. Next time I'll come back and try some of the Turkish delights. They looked really good! The only thing to really go for value is the pizzas that they offer and the teas. Everything else is grossly overpriced for the portions. The kunifeh itself is almost $10 at the size of a baseball circumference and so THIN that you will feel robbed. They have a happy hour special that if you do not mention you will end up paying FULL price. They will literally charge you full price nonchalantly unless you MENTION it. TLDR; The pizza and tea is their saving grace at this junction. Comfy comfy comfy! This place is like bundling up on a rainy cold day. First off, the ambiance is amazing, as soon as I walked in I was hit with a great smell of incense. The lay out is like little living rooms throughout the store. Cute designs throughout. Everywhere you look is picture worthy. The service is great, kind employees answering every question I had. You order at the counter and sit, they will bring the order to you. Now for the food...the manakeesh (all of them) are excellent!!! I specifically love how authentic their middle eastern flavors are. Their Karak chai was excellent! And I am judging it hard since the stores name is Karak, it does live up to its name. The Kashmiri chai was also really good and very flavorful. The knafa was pretty good it is homemade, not overly sweet or dry. The cocktail juice was fresh! The Turkish coffee was in a big cup which was really unexpected since it's normally served in an espresso size cup but hey, I am not going to complain. A beautiful place for a date, to take out the family, or just to have your tastebuds dancing around with middle eastern/south Asian flavors. 10/10 recommend.... It's slim pickings in this area of Plano for some good middle eastern food, but this place hits the spot! Ambience is very eclectic, but inviting Service was very prompt and friendly I ordered a bunch of different manakeesh and they were all delicious. My favorite is the zaatar and cheese, but my family enjoyed the pepperoni and the gyro. The food took a little over ten minutes as it was baked fresh.
