My family and I ordered takeout from Blue Fish and had a delightful meal. I underestimated the portion size here and definitely over-ordered. My husband and I shared the sashimi deluxe and the chefs were incredibly generous that night! We also ordered a few basic rolls to share: out of control roll, yellowtail scallion, salmon avocado and shrimp tempura roll. All the rolls were excellent and had a nice fish to rice ratio. They do seem to run a bit bigger than the basic rolls that I'm accustomed to but I am not complaining. The sashimi deluxe was good with the exception of a fishy piece or two that I had early on that was a bit off putting. My kids shared the house rice noodle and enjoyed it. I definitely would come back here again the next time I'm in town. Blue Fish is a great place for Asian food and it has a big enough menu that would accommodate both kids and adults.
Any time we're on vacation, we start craving Asian food. We were all so glad to eat here! Our youngest declared this to be her most favorite meal. The restaurant's interior is pretty. The service was great- our server was kind and friendly. And we all enjoyed our meal. I had to get the MD's official cocktail of course (Orange crush) and the spicy girl roll was delicious. So filling. Thanks for a great meal! If we're ever down there again, we'll definitely stop by again. :)
Since I'm from Philly and I access to really authentic Chinese food I usually don't order Chinese food in areas where there aren't that many Asian populations I thought I'd try lunch at bluefish restaurant. Start off with steamed dumplings- bland tasted as if these were frozen. Ordered Kung pao chicken.- taste was very bland. Also only vegetable was large amount of celery, and a few pieces of green pepper.- normally there green peppers , water chestnuts, carrots, and a little bit of celery. I literally had to pick out probably close to a cup of celery out of my dish. Disappointed with maybe six pieces of green peppers - the sauce it was basically soy dice,maybe garlic no spice - no chili - hardly any spice for the price of $20 I feel like I could've gotten this from a takeout Chinese at a strip mall somewhere and it would've tasted a lot better than this dish. Such a shame. maybe I should've ordered the sushi or maybe beef and broccoli I would think twice before ordering any Chinese food in Ocean City as you will not find any authentic flavors.. Nothing more to say....
In town working for the past week and this is my second time come here. The food is delish and the staff is so nice! There is a sweet spot and if you discover it you won't have a long wait to sit down. I've tried the curry rice noodle, drunken noodles and now the Thai style lo mein. All have been fabulous! And I wouldn't be me if I didn't have a lychee martini and theirs are fantastic! Definitely saving this for future trips to OCMD.
Delicious and fresh sushi rolls. Cooked food was fresh and flavorful. Service was prompt and the waiter was very attentive. We had our one year old with us and they brought out his food quickly and had very nice high chairs. Beautiful decorations and atmosphere. You can tell the chefs take pride in their presentations. The restaurant may look small but is cozy and they make great use of space, with tables designed throughout the restaurant to maximize efficiency yet make you feel like you are not be in big crowded in by others. The sushi is a strength and one of their signature dishes. There are literally all kinds of sushi for you to order. If you can dream it, they can make it. Presentation is great, too. They literally put a lot of thought into making the dining experience enjoyable and memorable. And it shows from the moment you walk into the restaurant until you leave. We were still looking at new decor and designs within the restaurant as we were leaving, too. We ordered the Godzilla sushi, which is a combination of spicy and flavorful sushi for the palate. We also had the sushi sampler (tuna, salmon, wasabi, etc.), chicken lo mein and chicken pad thai. The dishes came out pretty quickly and the presentation of each is pictured with this review. One can see the lengths they go through to present a great product that also tastes delicious. The servers were attentive and waited on us with prompt regularity. They made sure we had plenty of drinks, utensils, etc. if we needed something else, they were not far away. Even taking care of the check was handled at the table by our server, which made the visit seamless. We really recommend this restaurant if you are looking for sushi, or other Chinese and Japanese dishes. There is a lot to choose from in Ocean City, but Blue Fish can easily compete with the lot of them and should be around a long time with the dishes they serve.
I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! My boyfriend and I were in town for the Running Festival and we wanted to have a fancy dinner. We looked up spots on Yelp and saw this got great reviews so we decided to give it a shot. This place was hoppin in the off-season! At 6:30pm we had a 25-30 min wait for two people. We stood by the bar which only had 6 seats and was full. The bartender made a delicious mango margarita and Moscow mule for us that we took to our seats when our table was ready. It was almost exactly 25 mins of waiting for appreciated the correct wait time that was given. Now the food... my goodness it was amazing! We got the house salad thinking it was a side small bowl of salad.. this was huge! Served in a beautiful shell shaped bowl, the dressing soaked every piece of lettuce and was delicious. We then got our main course which was sushi and pad Thai! We got the Godzilla Roll, Red Dragon Roll and Rainbow Roll. I have had a lot of sushi but this was the best rainbow roll I have ever had. The avocado was perfectly ripe and creamy and the fish super fresh and melted in your mouth. We got the House Combo of chicken, beef and shrimp for the Pad Thai and it was delicious! The chicken and beef were tender, but a bit too fatty for my liking. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. Our waitress Rocio was delightful and very attentive. Even with tables still filling up as we left around 8, the entire staff had smiles and great attitudes. To say this is a place to hit is an understatement. Absolutely incredible for a night out.

Food: 7.5/10 We ordered drunken noodle and a bunch of rolls. Unfortunately, the food was a little too sweet for our liking. Both the rolls and the drunken noodle could perhaps benefit from a little less sauce. Nevertheless, the ingredients seem to be fresh :)! Insanely fast service despite the whole bunch of people in and outside the restaurant. The interior was simple and clean, yet gave the authentic Japanese vibe a bit. The food itself was in a high quality that I have not tasted in a while for sushi (especially their Christmas Roll which was my favorite). The only "problems" was that their wasn't necessarily a dessert menu and the prices were a bit steep (especially on the rolls end), but it's sushi and the portions made it worth it too. read more

The best food in OCEAN City!!!!!!! Cute ambiance, clean well lit restaurant and very friendly staff. Service was top notch. Drinks were delicious, I had a Peach Crush and a refreshing Pineapple Mojito. I started with a house salad with house ginger dressing, shrimp spring rolls and shrimp tempura roll. Yo, yo, yo! This is not only the best sushi in OCMD but it could be the best I've ever eaten! This was on the last night of our trip and it happened to be located directly across from our condo, so we decided to give it a shot. Man did we make a great selection. Everything was amazing and they had so much to pick from. Let me tell you, I picked right! I got the Hawaiian Roll and the Maryland roll and it was amazing. Verdict: One fish, two fish, lots of fish @ Blue Fish. I can't believe we ate it all. We ate like kings and queens for a night here. My friend sure knows how to order and the lot of us know how to eat. More than a few appetizers and a couple Chinese style dishes later, our sushi boat arrived. I guess it was more of a bridge than a boat but it was packed to the blue fish gills either way. Before long, we were the ones who were stuffed. I couldn't even tell you all the rolls we ended up getting. I will say that my favorite had the coconut. That's not something I often see available and I'd highly recommend trying it. Blue Fish has enough variety on their menu that the sushi fan will be happy and anyone who likes other food can surely find something as well. I'd go there for the sushi before anything else but then, I didn't have the other dishes to contrast and compare. read more

Absolutely amazing meal, great ambiance, and excellent service. We brought my mom out for lunch the day after Christmas and were able to sit in the cutest alcove. It felt like we had our own private room. We started with tempura veggies, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We then did a number of the maki rolls and it's impossible to pick a favorite. The tuna the freshest I've eaten in a long time. We haven't been here in a few years, but were so excited that it hadn't changed at all, and if anything it's better than we remembered. Can't wait to visit again soon! read more

We've heard excellent reviews on Blue Fish, so we gave it a try last night and it didn't disappoint. We called to see the estimated wait time (high tourist season, so we were prepared to be patient), and quoted 10-15 minutes and it was exactly that. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. We had soup, delicious and 3 sushi rolls - sunshine, money and spicy tuna. Size was a good mouthful, there's no skimping. It was the best we've had by far! We also had two drinks and the bill was $70. It was by far the least expensive dinner we've had in OC... bonus! We recommend you put it on your list to try. Also, if you're not a sushi fan, there's lots of options on dishes, Thai, noodles. You'll find something, trust me. read more

Have previously ordered sushi which was good but rolls were expensive and small. Decided to try their Pad Thai and egg roll as the price was more reasonable. The pad Thai is in Thai chili sauce and it was awful (never have I ever had pad Thai with this kind of sauce)! The chicken was very soft and almost slimy not the typical sautéed texture. Would NOT recommend this dish at all. There are plenty of other places to get both sushi and Thai food in OC, give them a try first. I won't be back and wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Are you open in the winter months? We are visiting OC from 12/22 to 12/26/21. Your food looks yummy on the pictures!
Not sure about exact dates but they were open the first week of December 2021 (which is off season). It was fabulous.
Is it still takeout only? If so does anyone know when dine in is returning? Thanks, I'm really looking forward to going back.
