Blue Fish is one of the prettiest Japanese restaurants I have been to with the wooden seating, wood trimmed lights overhead, silk cherry blossom trees, light blue sheer curtains. This was our third visit; we have been coming every year. Food is fresh and delicious and the wait staff has been excellent. This year, we had the Pork Dumplings, Shrimp Tempura, Out of Control (avocado, tuna), and two Super Rolls (tuna and salmon) then finished with two mochi ice creams - Birthday cake and matcha. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Roccio was our waitress who was pleasant and took great care of us. We look forward to our next visit when we are back in town. read more

We enjoyed our dinner with appetizers. Caution: if you want General Tsu's chicken, specify whether you want it with white meat only, dark meat only, or mixed. Any time we're on vacation, we start craving Asian food. We were all so glad to eat here! Our youngest declared this to be her most favorite meal. The restaurant's interior is pretty. However, when we dined here last friday, we found hair in our tuna avocado roll- and as soon as we let our waitress know she kinda just blew us off and took a while to bring us a new one. The restaurant may look small but is cozy and they make great use of space, with tables designed throughout the restaurant to maximize efficiency yet make you feel like you are not be in big crowded in by others. The sushi is a strength and one of their signature dishes. There are literally all kinds of sushi for you to order. If you can dream it, they can make it. Presentation is great, too. They literally put a lot of thought into making the dining experience enjoyable and memorable. And it shows from the moment you walk into the restaurant until you leave. We were still looking at new decor and designs within the restaurant as we were leaving, too. We ordered the Godzilla sushi, which is a combination of spicy and flavorful sushi for the palate. We also had the sushi sampler (tuna, salmon, wasabi, etc.), chicken lo mein and chicken pad thai. The dishes came out pretty quickly and the presentation of each is pictured with this review. One can see the lengths they go through to present a great product that also tastes delicious. The servers were attentive and waited on us with prompt regularity. They made sure we had plenty of drinks, utensils, etc. if we needed something else, they were not far away. Even taking care of the check was handled at the table by our server, which made the visit seamless. We really recommend this restaurant if you are looking for sushi, or other Chinese and Japanese dishes. There is a lot to choose from in Ocean City, but Blue Fish can easily compete with the lot of them and should be around a long time with the dishes they serve. read more

We went off of reviews and were not disappointed! Audrey was a fantastic server and the food was delicious. We tried several rolls including shrimp tempura, Maryland roll, sunshine roll, real crab California roll and all were fresh and delicious. We also had the wonton soup, twin delight general Tso's shrimp and scallops and combo lo mein! Everything was delicious and we left full and happy! I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! My boyfriend and I were in town for the Running Festival and we wanted to have a fancy dinner. We looked up spots on Yelp and saw this got great reviews so we decided to give it a shot. This place was hoppin in the off-season! At 6:30pm we had a 25-30 min wait for two people. We stood by the bar which only had 6 seats and was full. The bartender made a delicious mango margarita and Moscow mule for us that we took to our seats when our table was ready. It was almost exactly 25 mins of waiting for appreciated the correct wait time that was given. Now the food... my goodness it was amazing! We got the house salad thinking it was a side small bowl of salad.. this was huge! Served in a beautiful shell shaped bowl, the dressing soaked every piece of lettuce and was delicious. We then got our main course which was sushi and pad Thai! We got the Godzilla Roll, Red Dragon Roll and Rainbow Roll. I have had a lot of sushi but this was the best rainbow roll I have ever had. The avocado was perfectly ripe and creamy and the fish super fresh and melted in your mouth. We got the House Combo of chicken, beef and shrimp for the Pad Thai and it was delicious! The chicken and beef were tender, but a bit too fatty for my liking. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. Our waitress Rocio was delightful and very attentive. Even with tables still filling up as we left around 8, the entire staff had smiles and great attitudes. To say this is a place to hit is an understatement. Yes the exterior looks very sketchy...buy do not let that fool you! The interior is beautifully done, warm and cozy. Our server was very nice. We ordered 3 rolls and they were all good. Now if you really wanna test the quality of fish, you have to order nigiri/sashimi, which we did not, so take it with a grain of salt. But as far as roll, again they were pretty good. There was an unfortunate incident on our order, but our server handled it promply and professionally....that speaks volume about how much they care about their customers. I will go back again next year when vacationing in OC, and try some sashimi! read more

We used to come fairly regularly, but I honestly can't remember the last time we went because it's always so busy that it's hard to get a table in the summer! Visited Blue Fish when we were on vacation. The waitlist option to get a table, made it very easy to see when we would be seated and how many parties were ahead of us. The seating was great, as we were on the covered patio. Very quiet even though there were lots of people eating. Sushi was to die for. I am a sushi snob and only love the freshest and best quality sushi. The rolls were top notch. I do think they were over priced, one specialty roll we got was almost 20 dollars, which I think is way too high in comparison to other places with the same quality. read more

Interior looks like you've stepped into a traditional Japanese home, and instead of a large open room, sections make for a more intimate dining experience. For off season, a tent enclosure to the patio was added, which gives full year dining space as needed. Service is always excellent, tonight KenZ was our waiter who was very attentive, lovely addition of fresh flowers on the table in a very clean environment. Food presentation is gorgeous no matter what you order, sushi or Chinese dishes. Tonight I ordered the real crab California roll (excellent) and the Hawaiian roll (delectable). My hubby ordered Sesame Chicken which came with broccoli and was very tasty. Another win with a Pepsi establishment. Our first visit, and it won't be our last! Family wanted sushi and were very happy with the selection and quality. I wanted something cooked, so I ordered drunken noodles which were hot and tasty. We shared an app of "hand folded" crab rangoons. I'm not sure if being "hand folded" made a difference but they were decent. I was excited to see Japanese cheesecake on the menu (I've been wanting to try this spongy treat). One slice was a shocking $15 but it was a generous size for the three of us to share. It was good, not very sweet at all. Service was very quick and friendly. It was decorated nicely inside, maybe for Chinese New Year, and it was lovely. Inside they had a few chairs with menus and local newspapers to read while waiting for a table.
