a bar with red stools

Found this stop by luck Super quiet not busy Lots of decorations We ordered spicy tuna roll loved the presentation Love the mirror above the sushi bar

Great service great food The guy that did our habachi was super friendly and made this a fun experience. We got sushi and an order of the sesame chicken. Really good fresh sushi, and some of the best yellowtail I've ever had. The restaurant is really cute and nicely decorated, and all the staff was helpful and welcoming. I got the red Tampa and it was super good, and the playing was really cute. The habachi type entree was enough to serve two, so go if your really hungry.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is not worth it. I was craving sushi and was excited when I found Blue Fugu. The restaurant itself is decorated so beautifully and smelled so good when you first walk in. We sat at the hibachi area. We ordered the ninja roll and the spicy shaggy dog roll as appetizers. The rolls looked good when they came out but did not taste good. The rice was extremely sticky and did not taste fresh. I ordered the hibachi shrimp entree. Everything tasted good except the rice. It was so bland tasting. I would not recommend this place. I have had way better hibachi and shrimp. Save your time and money.

6 tables for teppenyaki and a full sushi bar!

It ws one of those moments where fate stepped in and gave us a wonderful gift...Blue Fugu! We had wanted to see the sunset because we saw from Tampa how beautiful it was the night before, but we also had planned on having teppanyaki up in Wesley Chapel for dinner...too far apart to accomplish both, so I went to Yelp and did a search. THANK YOU YELPERS! The meals were a range of scallops and filet (me) & chicken and steak (everyone else!). Like most teppanyaki restaurants, they started with traditional miso soup and ginger salad and both were very well executed. We passed on sushi since we had a sushi meal the day before, but we will be back to try their sushi bar next time - it looked delicious! On to vegetables and fried rice and the vegetables here are zucchini and onions, which our chef chopped in larger bite sized pieces which I appreciated because I use chopsticks and those little pieces are a bear!! As for my filet, I DID ask for extra rare and the ret of the steak eaters asked for a range of medium rare to medium. That said, our chef left mine on while he served the others and I was a bit disappointed by that. I liked him, he was a hoot, but he didn't listen to that and it was the only thing that held back a 5 star rating. I didn't say anything because it would've rocked the boat and held up 8 other people because he would've had to get another steak and then cook it and that would've set off my guilt thermometer too high...so, I dealt with almost well done steak. eww. One of my favorite things about the steaks? The mushrooms! There used to be a fantastic restaurant that I worked at as a bus girl when I was in high school and the chef made these amazing mushrooms with steaks and these took me back 40 years...I could've cried with happiness! So, overall, our dining experience was fun and happy and we laughed alot with the chef who thought my daughter was as adorable as I think she is, so I liked him! The service was very attentive and even when we walked through the sushi bar to the ladies room the sushi chefs spoke to us and a server helped guide us. The only odd thing was trying to FIND the restaurant - it is tucked in the VERY BACK of a U-shaped strip center next to a Public and across from the public access to St. Pete Beach - hence, the comeback to the sunset! It was so convenient and we had a wonderful night and wonderful sunset! Thank you Blue Fugu and Thank you, Yelpers for guiding us here!

Shaggy Dog and the best Philly roll I have had to date. Some of the freshest seafood imaginable.

Delicious sushi, great ambiance, and wonderful service at this excellent establishment. We came during happy hour and enjoyed 2 rolls with soup and sake for less than $20!! The rolls were made perfectly and the seafood is so fresh. It's imported from the world over and they are meticulous about acquiring only the best!! The soup was also really good...incredibly flavorful broth and only $2! Highly recommended for some delicious Japanese fare in a comfortable environment. 5 stars.

Absolutely worst food I've ever had. The waiter was so sweet, I felt bad telling her I couldn't eat the food. The presentation was not what I was hoping for and the food didn't look like it was on a hibachi grill at all. I wouldn't go here again if it was the last restaurant on earth.

Ladies, don't go unless you don't mind the chef throwing shrimp at you until he gets one to go down your cleavage. Not cool at all.

I've been here a couple of times now, and there's a reason I keep coming back…read more I first tried Shiso Crispy at a Yelp event a couple of years ago, and that was honestly the first time I'd ever heard of them. I couldn't stop thinking about the food afterward, so I immediately made a trip to the restaurant to try more. This time, we went to the location across from Ferg's because it was a little chilly and we wanted to sit inside and eat everything right away. We even drove from Tampa, even though there's a food truck closer, because we really wanted the full sit-down dining experience. We ordered the ahi tuna dirty rice, the bang bang shrimp (a special I saw online), and the pork belly buns. This was my first time trying the shrimp and the buns, and let me tell you... the buns did NOT disappoint. They were so fluffy, cooked perfectly, and absolutely delicious. And the bang bang shrimp? I loved it almost more than the ahi tuna. It had the most perfect crisp and crunch. You order outside and everything is made fresh. It didn't take too long at all, and the food came out warm and insanely good. I'm a huge dumpling girl, so I already know I need to go back ASAP to try the truffle gyoza and the wagyu gyoza. The lobster crab rangoons also sounded incredible. If you haven't been yet, this place is 100% worth the hype, and the repeat visits.

The only somewhat decent dish was the ahi tuna dirty rice, but the protein-to-rice ratio was questionable, especially when a dirty rice plate already costs $9. The braised beef short rib bao buns ($12 for two) were overly sweet and had a mushy texture. The truffle gyoza (5 pieces) somehow arrived burnt on one side across every piece and were only mildly warm when served. Service was average overall. The indoor seating is nice, and being located in the heart of St. Pete gives the restaurant a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the setting or the prices. I would not come back.

We were there on a Friday night and were the only ones there. Music was extremely loud in a small space. Food was way over priced for the quality. The crab salad was dry imitation crab taken straight from the packaging and pulled apart with chopped cucumber cherry tomato and mango. Very bizarre. The scallops were the texture of a gummy candy. The drinks weren't bad. I'd go for only drinks. Service was good.

I didn't catch any Mexican fussion vibes, but there were some margaritas on the drink menu. Music is still very loud for dining. We were shouting to each other from across the table to be heard. Sushi is fresh but expensive for a non downtown restaurant. Nigiri and sushi rolls came out for 3 of us and the 4th person who got a cooked salmon entree had to wait an additional 20 minutes for some reason. When the salmon finally arrived the other 3 people were finished their meals already. Awkward and no apologies were given. The salmon was way overcooked and very bland. It was a small portion, more of an app not entree sized. I didn't like the restaurant when it was Nomi Nori and I won't be returning as Casa Nori.
