Bunch of sashimi w/ uni shooters | 5/3/2024

I continue to visit DZO repeatedly because the sushi and the service is great. I haven't had their hibachi or pho yet, but I'm not opposed to trying. I just know my favorite sushi items here and I just always order the usual suspects and then I'm too stuffed! If this is your first time trying DZO (and you eat raw) I highly recommend the FLAMING HAMACHI, FIERY HAMACHI ROLL, UNI SHOOTERS, SWEET SHRIMP, CONCH APPETIZER and your favorite sashimi and nigiri pieces. The fish is fresh and safe so order away! I love this place and will always recommend it to anyone who is looking for sushi in this area.

Amazing food. Wonderful service. 10/10 I will be back to feast!! The inside was nicely decorated too and clean.

Don't let the exterior and lot fool you. I didn't try the teppanyaki, to be fair I'm not a be fan of it. I came here for the dishes I saw from my fellow Yelpers. I did the squid and some hand rolls and man it was good. The Uni shot was perfect and the wait staff was very helpful and fun. Would definitely return for more.

What a great spot this place is. Hands down the best pho I ever had in Florida. And the sushi quality here is great too. We came here twice so far. Once for the hibachi and another time for Pho and some sushi. Of course both times I had to have a little sushi though. The hibachi chef , I believe his name was Nakata from what someone told us, was hilarious. He was great at entertaining us all. However, the meat we ordered came out a bit over cooked... The sushi I ordered for the first time here was salmon and Uni. I was impressed with the price of their Uni here and it was good quality as what I'm use to. And the salmon was great quality too. The second time we came here we all ordered the short rib pho. All of us loved it!!! I ordered another salmon sushi and uni, along with some salmon roe. Everything was delicious as the first time. However, the salmon did not look as great as it did the first time i ordered it... not sure why. But it did still have a good taste. We also ordered the egg rolls and I was not a fan. I thought they were going to be more like the Vietnamese rolls , but they were more like the Chinese ones possibly pre frozen. Was not impressed

Me and my friend stopped by late night for some pho. This place was the only spot that was open and we definitely recommend this spot. The place is very pretty and was clean, the service was excellent.

The food was wonderful and we had the best chef! Chef Tanaka is amazing and we remember him from when he worked at Arigatos! That fact alone was why we decided to try Dzo Pho Sushi Hibachi. The sauces are also amazing, just like the sauces we had at ArigatosWe loved the vibrant music too!

It was truly exceptional. However, for a thorough review, it deserves even higher praise! The atmosphere upon entering was both spacious and inviting, and the décor was impeccable. The lighting was wonderful and bright. The tables were large, providing ample space, and the seating consisted of large, comfortable chairs with soft cushions; very comfortable indeed. Now, for the best part... The food was simply spectacular. My wife, a lover of fried rolls, requested a non-fried version, and they happily accommodated her. We started with crab rangoon, followed by the fiery hamachi roll and the pho--filet and meatball. The pho was presented by a kind older gentleman who seemed proud of his work, and it was outstanding! The rich broth was delightful, and it came with all the necessary garnishes for a perfect bowl of pho: sliced jalapeños, culantro, Thai basil, and bean sprouts. The waitress kindly offered chili oil, and what she brought was fresh, homemade chopped chili oil, which was truly exceptional! Fantastic. 10/10. The waitress was attentive and helpful. The sushi rolls were amazing, featuring incredibly fresh seafood. The presentation was superb. The attention to detail and the exquisite flavors were particularly noteworthy, enhancing the overall experience. Indeed, everything was outstanding. The hibachi section, though we didn't dine there, was also spacious and clean. The restrooms were exceptionally clean and fresh-smelling. This was an unplanned stop for my family, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover such an incredible Vietnamese restaurant so close to home. We will certainly be returning very soon!

Not great, but not bad either at all....super clean; very nice service and great waitress ....the sushi was fresh and good, just not outstanding....the Pho was good, the broth was good and there were plenty of noodles (something lacking at a lot of local places lately) ....nothing wrong at all with any of it, just not outstanding and I was hoping it would be is all

Wonderful caring service. Much nicer on the inside than I was expecting from the outside. Great happy hour deals on some apps and sushi that I was reminded about by the sushi chef. The only complaint is the house salad was watery. Otherwise the dressing itself was perfect. The sushi rolls were enjoyable as well. I highly recommend a visit. I don't often rate places 5 stars.

We decided to come for dinner around 6:30 pm. The place was quite empty but it was huge. It's divided into two rooms, the hibachi part and just a normal dining area. We decided to focus on sushi. Our server was great. Attentive, knowledgeable and even gave us a taste of a cold sake that was quite delightful. We ordered the himachi cama which was yellowtail cheek cooked to perfection, with a light sauce. We then ordered three rolls - the lobster roll, the roll up and a spicy roll I don't recall of what. The plates were beautiful and arrived all together. It was fresh and delicious. The server came to check up on us all the time. He was very good. Would recommend this place for sure!

I'm Vietnamese and can confirm that their pho is authentic and delicious. I love that it comes in a hot stone bowl, it keeps the both hot for a long time. Restaurant is clean, spacious, and has a bar. Sushi is served at 5pm. Staff was very friendly also. I'm excited to come back at dinner time to sit at the bar and try their sushi.

Love love love DZO! Love that I can get Vietnamese food, hibachi AND sushi under one roof! The salmon skin hand roll is my absolute fav but you really can't get better sushi appetizers anywhere else! Love their conch app the most! They also open late and are right next door to an indoor adventure park so after the kids play and work up an appetite it's super convenient to come right next door to DZO. The service is always hit or miss but the food makes up for it.

I got the salmon sashimi with maki rolls (it was one of the "specials" listed in the front of the menu) as well as an additional roll. Pros: - VERY fresh fish and authentic sushi! I would not recommend getting baked rolls here - the strength really is in the raw fish. The salmon sashimi was perfect and the cuts were generous for the price. - A very family local feel inside - I legit felt like I was in an auntie's living room - The service was really nice - we got a free slice of matcha cheesecake for spending $50 - delicious hot tea that pairs well with the sushi - People get upset about the "presentation" and the "aesthetic" but really you should be coming for the fish. - Lots of options and combos that are affordable - we left extremely full and didn't feel like we paid a kidney for it. - Easy parking in front during lunch. - Perfect fish to rice ratio in their rolls. They are not stingy with their avocado come for the surprisingly good raw fish at a strip mall!

Chef Daniel clearly takes a lot of pride in his craft, sourcing fresh fish multiple times throughout the week and putting real thought into every dish. What really stands out is the attention to detail. The rice is perfectly prepared, with each grain having the right texture and balance, which is something a lot of sushi spots overlook. It makes a huge difference. A quick heads up though, this level of quality takes time. If you are in a rush, this might not be your spot. Chef Daniel is focused on doing things right rather than fast, and while he could scale up and bring in more chefs, that is not the experience he is going for.
