First time here. There was a large selection on the menu to choose from! The sushi came out quick, especially for dining on a busy Saturday night. Service was great. It appears to be a local favorite spot!

best food and experience I've ever had, I love this place, the sushi is fresh, the service is awesome, highly recommended.

You have not had sushi if you haven't had a Jumbo Jimmy roll + Triple Threat Tuna. So consistently delicious! Huge portions. Wonderful.

Jimmy's Sushi Bar never disappoints! We went last night and had a smorgasbord of chicken teriyaki, chicken wings, baby octopus, our favorite - the Catherine roll and I was able to catch a picture of the softshell crab and the White Escalar platter! If you haven't been, I highly recommend and get the Triple Threat! My favorite way is to have it made with Salmon. It's easily one of the best sushi dishes I've ever had!

This is one of the most mediocre sushi restaurants I've ever been to. This is what I imagine a white person who has never experienced sushi would make. The only reason I can assume the reviews are high is because it's all St Pete locals who have never eaten sushi outside of st Pete. My friend was served a glass of ice to go with her soda and it contained a small fly.. they apologized and replaced but, unfortunately so did the second glass but she removed it and moved on. The sashimi was limp and very fishy. The softshell crab roll was not good, not sure if the crab was old but it had a bad after taste. All of the fried rolls were definitely cooked in old oil. Overall the entire experience was disappointing. Not a reflection on the waitstaff who were friendly and helpful but unfortunately that's not what makes a restaurant good.

The one with Mango and has a ponzu dipping sauce. 6/10

Jimmy's is always a 5 star visit! Our faves are the TNT (Triple Threat), Bahama Mamma, and Florida Roll. Honestly, you can go wrong with any of them. Jimmy is always behind the bar making rolls and so friendly if you sit up there to eat and watch. The space is tight and hard to navigate between the tables to get in and out of restaurant and it's always busy- which is a good thing!

I have to say, if you love sushi rolls, this is the spot to go to. However, if your more into sushi and sashimi, I'm not sure I would suggest this spot. Every sushi roll we ordered here was super tasty, and the fish does taste fresh. However, when I ordered my sushi, the salmon bellow I received was very tough. I'm use to it melting in my mouth. The regular salmon my sister ordered did not look great and she thought it was too fishy. The Japanese scallop I got, was not as tasty either, kind of grossed me out because it seemed too warm. But if inside a roll, you probably wouldn't notice. The sweet shrimp ordered however was pretty good. And the escolar sashimi appetizer with ponzu was pretty good, was probably my favorite out of all that I ordered outside of ordering the rolls. The rolls that I can remember that were ordered were the crunch roll, Bahama mama, David roll, and I think the jumbo jimmy roll. I loved them all! The Krab ragoons here are pretty good too and the miso was good. Parking here is kinda a disaster in the back and is a tiny lot. Inside was a decent size. Would probably come back here again tho for the rolls! But the parking has me wondering if it's worth it.

A lovely taste of Japan right here in Florida where my father in law is known and even somehow managed to get a roll named after him. The fish is very fresh with the amount of people coming and going staying at a steady stream Started with a couple 20oz asahi super drys and a delicious miso soup. The miso had a nice depth of flavor with the semi soft tofu, mushroom and green onion adding little pops of variety. Ordered a few different rolls with the raw salmon, egg and eel. The egg was very much so of the Japanese omelette style and true to form with creamy sweetness you would expect but still firm. The salmon had a generous portion covering the whole rice bed from all sides and was very good. The eel was by far my favorite with the sweet and soy flavoring perfectly cooked and sticky. We finished with "dessert" which for us was an order of the red snapper sashimi. A very generous size that could easily please 4 people. Radish base with a spicy sauce and the sashimi layered and finished with green onion. Excellent crafted worked from jimmy and a wonderful fish. Great staff and can't wait to go back. Thank you Jimmy and Yoko! 5/5 would recommend to a friend for a taste of Japan.

Updating with another 5 star review three years later because Jimmy's continues to thrive. Servers are always lovely but most importantly, everything is consistently good. --If you're a traditionalist, you can't go wrong with things like the sashimi appetizer or the chirashi. The tuna is particularly always very good. --The tuna triple threat is the appetizer of sushi dreams. --I think rolls are where Jimmy's really shines, though - both small/traditional and more deluxe. I literally dreamt of the deluxe spicy tuna roll while I was pregnant. There's deliciousness to be found in both the cooked and uncooked sections of the sushi menu. --If you're not feeling sushi, the other cooked options are great too. I've gotten the bento box a few times and the tempura shrimp and veggies are to die for, as is the salmon teriyaki. Others have vouched for the fish katsu, the fried rice, the gyoza and the mussels appetizer. There's a reason we've been regulars for years.

Back at Jimmy's. Don't pass this place by - you'd never know from the outside how outstanding the sushi is inside! Tried 5 rolls plus crab rangoon on this visit. Each slice of sushi is a two-biter. The Sexy Mama roll and the Blue Crab roll are the standouts. All of the fish is super fresh, all of the such is sliced and rolled to order. Service is quick. You really can't beat this off-the-beaten path spot for delicious sushi!

On our last night of vacation I was craving some sushi. So, the search was on to find a yummy sushi restaurant. We stumbled on Jimmy's Sushi Bar and boy are we happy we did! It is a very quaint place. We went right when they opened and were the first people there...but it was busy when we left. Drink orders were taken right away. We ordered an appetizer of the tempura veggies. Delicious! They came out hot and crispy with a yummy dipping sauce. My husband ordered the nagari platter which is chefs choice ancomes with a soup or salad. He loved all of the fish that was served. I am pregnant and ordered cook sushi rolls: Tampa Roll (fried white fish, mayo, and scallions) and Krab Roll (Fried krab stick, mayo, and scallions) and salmon. Al were so delicious and fresh. The salmon was my favorite! We loved all of items we ordered and Jimmy's will now be in our rotation when we are on our annual family vacation.

I think our friends ate like 8 sushi rolls each... INSANE. That said, all of their sushi looked incredible and they come here all the time because they love it all, especially the out of this world roll and the perpetual love roll, which I think they got like 8 of between the 3 of them. They even finished off with dessert like fried cheesecake and fried Oreos. I had unagi sushi, ahi tuna nigiri, a yellowtail roll, and some miso soup. I thought the fish was great! Definitely would come back. I wish I tried one of the specialty rolls but wasn't hungry enough this time. Keep in mind if you're at a table with AYCE but you're not participating, you can't munch off their food. The value for the AYCE price is pretty fantastic though, if you're planning to order 3+ rolls or 2 and a couple apps!

I narrowed down nearby options on my trusty Yelp app and we drove over to the strip mall that 3D Sushi is located in (although it has a different name now out front so there are two pages for this location). At any rate, the place was hopping on a Saturday night in December! It took a minute to be seated after we walked in, but once we sat down, we had plenty of attention. He went light enjoying his chicken noodle soup and I had miso soup; a very generous portion of veggie tempura; the cucumber wrapped "Ruby" sushi with a watermelon boba that is so incredibly delish! We even ended the evening with mango sticky rice -- even if it's not in season, it's a guest favorite and Staff makes sure to have the mangoes on hand. Boyfriend and I enjoyed getting to chat with Leilani who is super sweet and give our props to! We all have the west coast connection and we were eager to hear her story.
