Saw the Amish themed show, the Rise and Fall of Miss Fanny's biscuits musical, it was very good. Everyone had excellent voices. We really enjoy the show. There's a lot of comfortable seating Well worth the $40 tickets. Not fancy but really good and we had a great time! Elevator and stairs available. Make sure to go to the theater next to the restaurant and not to mix it up like we also did and drive further down the road to the convention center. :) great job guys! read more

I love this concert venue, it's by far my favorite! The prices are better than most others, the seats more comfrontable, and the parking lot easier to navigate. I have seen a lot of concerts here over the years and will be back! The pre concert giveaways and announcer add to the fun. The lobby is jam packed with artist autographed photos, guitars, and other memorabilia. I reccomend arriving early to see it all if it's your first visit. read more

This was my first time to the theater. I will admit that we went to the wrong place further up the road. Not sure how we were to distinguish between these two Blue Gate labeled facilities...but we did. Upon getting there you find a large parking lot to make it getting in easy. Getting out with one exit was not so easy. Inside the facility is very attractive and interesting. Lots of entertainer memorabilia to look at. This helps you...along with the pre concert advertising...know the breadth and number of acts they bring. There is truly something for everyone to view here. I was impressed by how close all seats were to the stage. You get a good view from about anywhere. Obviously center and closer to the stage is better. There are two large and tall video screens to the side to improve your viewing experience. The seats were very comfortable. Lots of padding. I was impressed with how much space they have between seats. This makes leg room nice. It also really helped when people need to over thru you to get to their seats. The in show process was well done. This was a comedy show so they didn't need lots of accents. However the lighting was nicely done. The sound levels were perfect! The flow of things before, in the concert and after were done well. As other Yelpers have identified...exiting the facility is very poor. Half the facility has to exit through one door. This is slow and very frustrating. The other half of the facility had three doors. This is a problem and that could be catastrophic if there was a need for an emergency evacuation. read more

We bought tickets in advance for two concerts, however we were going with another couple so 4 tickets bought for each concert. My wife had a STROKE and two of us could NOT Attend.. We were refused any compensation due to our friends attending and we could NOT.. This Place USED to care about you, BUT NO MORE!!! Only care about their business!!! My family really enjoyed this venue! The tickets were reasonable and we tacked on the Blue Gate buffet and saved a few dollars on that too. We stayed at the Super 8 next door which was super convenient when attending shows here. The lobby area has interesting memorabilia to look at while waiting for your show to start. We attended the a Dry Bar Comedy show and it was fantastic! Truly made our trip! There are two very large screens on both sides of the stage so that even if your seats aren't the best you can still see everything. Venue isn't too big so all seats are pretty good. read more

Purchased two tickets (seats) for a show. I am in a wheelchair, but paid for and expected a seat. Instead, my aide and myself were placed in the back of the theater under cold, blowing fans. My aide complained and was met with very rude response...offering us folding chairs. When we complained again, we were given seats - taken from people who didn't even have tickets! The exit situation is through one small door. Where are the fire codes? The one very good thing was the buffet staff -- they went above and beyond to assist me. The food was wonderful. I attempted to call the Bluegate and they never returned any calls. Would not attend another show there. read more

This place is in BLATANT violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act which requires drinking fountains (Regular and accessible) in public venues. They had a drinking fountain and then removed it. Apparently they want everyone to buy their $4 water bottles instead of getting a free drink out of the fountain. They ought to be ashamed! read more

Our experience has always been enjoyable at the theater. We just saw Johnny Mathis and the seating and sound system (and of course Johnny) were fantastic. We will be back next Thursday to see 1964 Beatles tribute. It's a mini vacation each time we visit. read more

This place is a danger. They seat 1500 people and have only one small exit. If there were a fire, many lives would be lost due to not being able to escape in time. They also discourage people from dancing in their seats and demand people stand in the walkways and exit rows. If there were an emergency there would not.oath for help.to arrive. Had purchased 4 tickets back in the spring for Daniel O'Donnell concert and knew well in advance we wouldn't be able to make it as my sister was in the hospital with acute pancreatitis and the show was her present to get well. Still in non-home care as I type this. Bluegate wouldn't refund or credit us for any future shows. Disappointed and not likely to purchase anything in advance there again especially if I can see whomever at another venue. read more

My wife and I are from the Chicago area we purchased tickets for the Oak Ridge Boys event about 3 weeks ago when we planned a trip to the area. We planned several things to do while we are here long story short we mixed up the dates for the event, we were under the impression that the event was for Thurs 6/22/23 in the evening it turns out we had purchased the tickets for Wednesday 6/21/23 in the evening. My wife and I discovered this late Wednesday evening. At that time we went to the BGT box office and they graciously switched our tickets for the next day so we could still catch the show. This was totally our mistake and the folks at the BGT went the extra mile to put our mind at ease when they did not have to. Thank you to the folks at BGT for being so understanding and accommodating. read more

I am very sad to report that at a recent concert I was assaulted, body-slammed and handcuffed by an overreacting security guard, causing injury to my shoulder, ribcage and leg, all for simply asking a tall person sitting in front of me to please sit down! After standing for an extended portion of the show, people were mostly sitting for a period, all except one very tall man and his tall friend, who happened to be directly in front of me two rows down. That person repeatedy ignored my requests until suddenly a big security guard came down my aisle and forcefully grabbed me, saying I had to leave. I had to leave? For asking someone to please sit down? Written company policy states that concert goers who won't sit down while others are sitting will be asked to move to another location where they will not obstruct others' view of the show. This was not what was done, unfortunately. Instead I was targeted for bothering someone! At this point I could see a polite request to move to another location perhaps, NOT violent removal from the venue! I have tried to contact management repeatedly to discuss this mistreatment but no one has returned my calls and messages. No one deserves to be body-slammed, handcuffed and removed from a concert for simply asking someone to please sit down! I expect an apology and also for that security guard to take responsibility for assaulting and injuring me in the process. I await a call. Date of experience: July 2023 read more

So far I've seen a comedian perform and a band here. I enjoyed both and like that it's not a huge venue. Their seating chart when booking tickets does not match the actual seating arrangement though, which is frustrating. They sell light snack items and drinks, no alcohol. Very upset with their current cancellation policy. My friends and I were really looking forward to seeing the play The Güt Life on December 5th. The county is in Red as far as Covid-19, and my two friends and I are high risk. They are charging me $15/ticket to cancel. $45. They offered for me to have a gift card to their location, but that would have also incurred a $15 charge ($5 for each ticket. It's not my fault their county is in Red and that we are high risk and not willing to take a chance on their dinner/play keeping us safe. Most likely will never go there again. Oh, and it will take up to 30 days for me to get the refund credited to my card, for a play that is in 7days. All in all a very bad experience. read more

Our party of four had tickets for the Friday lunch and 1pm theater production. The day before, three of us tested positive for Covid. I called Bluegate and spoke to a manager hoping to get a refund or credit for another show when we had recovered. She said no refunds or credits could be issued because we had not called 48 hours before our show. My reply was, "Then I guess we will come anyway, sick as we are". She said, "That's fine. Covid is just like a cold now". I guess she has never had Covid. read more

We bought 8 tickets (4 couples)for the Air Supply concert on 1 October. One couple tested positive for Covid 2 days prior to the concert. We contacted the Blue Gate box office to inquire about a refund or credit to another show; they said absolutely no refund for any circumstance. I asked if their policy allows Covid positive people to attend and the lady response was that was up to the individual. The poorest online ticketing system I've ever encountered. They booked a popular singing group, "A Girl Named Tom", winner of the Voice in 2021. The first show sold out in 8 minutes. Wife was online and unable to purchase tickets. Added another matinee for the same day. I offered to attempt the purchase today. I re-entered the same information requested by the ticketing website 10 - 15 times and finally got the screen that said confirming payment, waiting for receipt or something to that effect. Waited over 15 minutes with that screen. Called the Theater 800 number 5 times before I got a person. The assistance was "you'll have to start over". If you are truly interested in customer service (and they don't seem to be), build a system big enough to handle the demand. (note: it will cut into your profit a bit I'm sure) If you are not interested in customer service...call the Blue Gate. They can provide expert advice. read more

Chaos. That's about the best way to describe it. It is a bit confusing, because the dining area is in a different building than the show. They don't really tell you anything. I knew part of it because I looked it up on Trip Advisor. Dining is jam packed with people. Of course, nobody is wearing a mask but me. We were face to face with hoards of people, and waited an hour and 20 minutes for a table. You go in and give the hostess your name. You're told it's 45 minutes to wait and that you must be there when they call your name, or you will lose your place in line. They tell you to go browse the shops while you wait, but you can't because you're waiting for your table. They announce the names over a microphone, but it so crowded and noisy, you can't hear a thing. We had to keep asking where we were in line. So an hour and 20 minutes later we are told to go downstairs to the dining room. Another long line. There's plenty of food, but it's very ho-hum and not that good. If I went again, I'd never go through this for a meal. I'd eat before I got there. And mind you, it's kinda out in the middle of nowhere, so I don't know where you'd get a meal. You need to get there hours early, or you will miss the show. The show was great. The theater is beautiful. Not a full house, which surprised me. Where did all the hundreds of diners go? Surely, they didn't come for that crappy meal. We stayed overnight. They put us right by the entrance to the Quiet Zone. Which means, all the kids are running and screaming up and down the halls all night long on the way to the pool. The breakfast is included, and though it was cold, at least it wasn't so crowded. So, I'd give the show itself a 4 and everything else I wouldn't do again. read more

I went into a full theatre to see The Collingsworth Family. The theatre is excellent with perfect sound and video. And of course the Collingsworth family was absolutely wonderful too!!! I wish I lived closer so I could attend many of the upcoming concerts!!! read more

I purchased tickets online as part of a package through Blue Gate "Theatre and Restaurant" - (misleading in itself, as the name implies that the theater and restaurant are in the same building). On the contrary, we checked into our hotel, the Blue Gate Garden Inn, located right next door to the theater, at 5:30pm on Saturday Dec 15th and headed out around 6:15 for dinner. We stopped at the front desk to inquire as to when the restaurant/theater actually opened as the information given to us in literature stated that the theater didn't open until 1 hour before showtime (which was 7pm this night), so how/where/when were we expected to eat dinner? The hotel staff informed us that the restaurant was actually a mile up the road, in town, and that we would "definitely need to get there asap" if we wanted to make our 8 pm concert in time. What?!?! We drive up the road to this restaurant and the place is slam-packed. 2 parking lots FULL and inside was crowded. I went up to the podium and handed the hostess our confirmations and she said "we'll let them know you're theater ticket holders, but there's a 45 minute wait right now to be seated". You've GOT to be kidding me. I told her that nowhere on the website or emails in booking any of this, was it mentioned we'd experience something like this. No warning about long lines and off-property restaurant, etc. She just shrugged as if to say "sorry about your luck". We waited about 20 minutes and decided we couldn't chance not making the concert. It was, afterall, the whole reason for the trip! I walked up to the podium to let the hostess know to just cancel us, as we couldn't wait. She looked at the screen and said "oh, they're getting ready to call your party right now" and told us to go downstairs. We were immediately relieved, but that was very short-lived! When we got downstairs, we were asked to join a very long line with about 40 people in it that didn't appear to be moving. We stood in this line for about 12 minutes and never moved! - just a ridiculous experience! Why call a party up only to move them to a long line in another area of the restaurant?! How infuriating! On the way out, I let the hostess know that we were leaving and she gave me a sh*tty look and said "they called your name" I said "Yes, only to have us get in a line clear to the back wall downstairs. Have you seen that line down there??" She said "ok I'll remove you". When we arrived at the theater, it appeared a bit chaotic and unorganized with no clear instruction of where to go or line up - or whatever we were supposed to do! We sought out someone who appeared to work there and ASKED them where we were to go. I told her of our experience and how I was very unhappy with being mislead regarding the restaurant tickets. She apologized and said "I'll get you 2 free buffet meal vouchers" and returned with 2 big green tickets for free buffet. We felt a bit better about the money spent as we figured we could just use them for lunch after check-out the next day, even though dinner was non-existant for the night. An older man yelled out to the crowd meandering in the halls that "There will be no intermission, so please purchase your concessions now!"... so we purchased 2 bottles of water and a container of mixed nuts (remember we hadn't eaten dinner - we hadn't eating ANYTHING in 8 hours!)... we get in the theater and find folding chairs (well padded) - get to our seats and open our container of nuts....and they're stale. Are you serious with this shit?! The concert was wonderful. I love Sawyer Brown and had bought great seats. Sawyer Brown was my sole reason for even coming. We got up and checked out of the Blue Gate Garden Inn the next morning and upon checkout, I asked the clerk if the restaurant was serving the lunch buffet yet and she said "Oh they're not open today. Pretty much everything's closed here on Sundays". You gotta be kidding!! NOT impressed with how misleading the package was stated. I will not be back to use my "free vouchers" so those were a complete waste. We were also not able to use the carriage ride tickets I'd purchased with the package as well - that was another $40 wasted. Never again. This was supposed to be something very special and it turned out to be completely the opposite. I feel like we were scammed from the get-go. The entire experience felt very cheap and scammy. The buildings and grounds are gorgeous, but the offerings are on the extreme cheap! I found people to be generally rude and unorganized. My stress-free, relaxing weekend was anything but! Just know if you plan to go, you may very well not be able to get the services you paid for as it's not explained in advance so you can prepare! read more

Smaller venue with reasonable ticket pricing. Very clean. Views are good from nearly everywhere in the long, narrow room. Sound needs improvement but it is adequate. Concessions are limited are priced higher than retail, but less than what you would pay at bigger venues. read more
