My friend worked there for a short while last year as one of Fallons Vendors. Her job was using a…read moreheat gun to remove Goodwill price tags, then add a new price tag at 5x the price! When Vendors brought in Inventory, she would put it out when she felt like it, sometimes holding inventory for 2-3 weeks, while her stuff was priced and put out. When the Vendors complain, or questioned her, she kicked them out. She says they are lucky just to be there. And getting paid, was such a goose chase. Checks late every month, not on the 15th like promised, but often 5 weeks late. My friend was young, and loved to work with the older clientele. And when they bought furniture, all the owner did was complain about 'old people' asking for help to carry items! My friend watched this for a bit, then finally left before Christmas (their biggest selling season) last year. She said the humiliation of how she was treated working in that store was not worth the sales, and that it was not a good place for Vendors who are treated like second class citizens. I told her to write a review as she was so poorly treated and share the whole experience, but she didn't want to realize Fallon's wrath. So she has moved from Prescott, but still talks about the horrible experience, so now, I'm writing it for her!

Brand new with tags and 1/3 of their retail value. In the back they have a discounted section where l found quite a few lovely treasures. A red knitted metallic sweater from Calvin Klein and a wool Cynthia Rowley wool jacket for a steal. Every time l visit Prescott l try to stop in. My best friend is here for the holidays so we plan to stop in on Black Friday (not for any Black Friday deals but just because that's when we are here) and she is so excited after hearing about it. I was initially drawn in by the large signs advertising "TRIFT STORE". Since it was displayed on multiple signs, I assumed the misspelling was not accidental. Indeed, there's a sweet story behind the name that you should ask about when you visit. Their prices are average to low, depending on what you're buying. The selection of books and records is massive, well-organized, and really cheap (25 cent paperbacks, 50 cent hardcovers). They have average clothing prices, and a wide selection of sizes. I only had 45 minutes or so to poke around, but I could have spent hours! I ended up with a couple books and a set of ceramic coasters. Worth a look!

The head honchos at the DAV all know about Aaron and his wonderful work at the register, over charging people for things that are marked less and his absolutely rude attitude towards some people. They do not mind. They don't mind if a man is rude to countless people, rips off hundreds and hundreds of people for years and years, as long as they keep pulling in those dollars to keep those recovery people coming in and working the thrift store, they do not care how badly Aaron treats their paying customers. Or if he is charging the prices that are posted. I'd be willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that if a woman acted the way Aaron does to customers, she would have been FIRED years ago. The fact that there has been SO many complaints about him for years and years, and not one disciplinary action has been taken, shows his behavior is ALL FINE AND GOOD. He deserves a paycheck, and security in his job, because..... he's ...a man? What could be the reason he still has this job, and nothing about his attitude changes? He has a customer service job, and is FAILING MISERABLY at it. BOTH DAV stores suck because of the upper management. Shop and donate elsewhere.
