That being said, the male staff members are unbelievably sexist every time I go. I've gotten hit on by the bartender who proceeded to get my order wrong and tell the random man standing next to me that "chicks can be so god damn annoying" when I asked him to grab the drink I ordered from the fridge behind him. The bouncer told me a couple of days ago when i was at the front of the line that "with that kind of behavior you'll never find a husband." I don't know what behavior he was even referring to, but extremely disappointed by my experiences at the cage.

Old railroad tracks, working class roots, this old bar, an improv blues night and the audience, plentiful. Scrunchies still adorning the copper highlighted ponytails of overly tanned women in their thirties. Everyone slightly off and no one fashionable except the musicians, clearly high timing in a small town, fedoras just so. Cartoon lobsters with shades on, off brand track pants and the requisite new England lack of eye contact. How long have you been sitting on that barstool, sir - how many years? 7/8/11 This ain't new York city, or LA, no. Mr bluesman you are correct, here in this dark, seedy, working class dive where all that matters is your improvised words, notes, sonic bliss... It was Blues Jam on Sunday and an older crowd of locals. Great music from several bands each playing a set. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful with drink orders and food choices. If you like cider, go for the Downeast Cider on draft - delicious and not overly sweet. Special on Sunday of $9 Bud Light pitchers. We mainly came in for lunch more so than for drinks. Another Sunday special is $.95 apiece wings. We got 8 extra crispy with the sweet chili sauce. Highly recommend! Main entree was a cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers with side of onion rings, and hubby had a Reuben with sweet potato fries. The burger was small but really good. Onion rings were crispy and not greasy. The Reuben was crisp on outside with good flavor. Although the portions weren't huge, you couldn't beat the price at $9.95 per meal. Everything is made to order by Ron in the back. If you are in a hurry for your meal and not planning to sit around and drink for the afternoon, just tell your waitress and I'm sure things will come out faster for you. Would come back again!

He tells her he doesn't have it. She said then you can't get that drink and he's like okay that's fine. She comes back with his friends drink and his girlfriends drink and says that me and my boyfriend need to leave if we don't have our ID. She could've said that before bringing their drinks out so we could just leave. But instead she was disrespectful about it. I hope she looses her job immediately!

Our waitress never once checked on us--we had to flag her down every single time, which made ordering drinks and food a chore rather than a relaxing night out. But honestly, the worst part of the night wasn't even the service. It was the fact that a couple brought their newborn to the bar and stayed from 8 PM to midnight. With loud music blasting, they passed the baby around and parade it around on the dance floor, never feeding the child once, but had no problem changing it on the air hockey table. It was disturbing to watch, and frankly, it made the entire atmosphere uncomfortable. A bar is no place for a newborn, especially late at night in that kind of environment. The only saving grace of the night was the band, Trans Am--they were absolutely phenomenal. They put on a great performance, but unfortunately, the energy in the bar was completely off. Nobody was dancing or really engaging with the music, which was a shame because they deserved a much better crowd. If management allows this kind of thing to happen, I don't see myself coming back. There are plenty of other dive bars that at least provide decent service and an environment where I don't have to question someone's parenting choices all night

We got a bag of chips and were told they were out of the tater tots and French fries. No respectable Irish bar would not be able to serve fries or some form of potato with a meal. The bar had about 10 people in the bar and they were all pretty drunk. It is not a fun pub but a place with some sad drunks.

The bar is spacious and on Thursday night they had someone playing life music. We ordered a pizza, burger, and pickle chips and all of the food was tasty. The service is also excellent! Only reason for 4 stars is I didn't care for their beers. I tried their blueberry ale and hazy IPA. I'm a bit of an IPA snob so don't let this ruin your opportunity to have an amazing experience. We were surprised to see a pile of jalapeños included - maybe it's on the menu and we missed it. Corn bread was moist. I opted for a build your own burger which was great. No bun, lettuce and tomato. The waitress told me to just tell her what I wanted on it and she'd get it for me. Cool. She didn't tell me I would be charged an extra $1 for a tiny bit of spinach, and 75 cents each for grilled onions and mushrooms. Not cool. I definitely would have just selected an "already made" option. I asked for sautéed mushrooms and onions so was a little surprised to get deep fried shrooms. There were good - I would probably order, and even be willing to pay extra, for them again. My issue was not being told. The seasoned fries were really good. The iced tea and Hazy IPA were (of course) good. Our waitress was a bit too attentive. It seemed almost like every time we took a bite, she was asking if everything was okay. Maybe just check in a couple times over the course of the meal? Please do remember that 3 is not bad. For me, it's a solid average.
