As a resident of the downtown area, this shop was my go to for different odds and ends, typically every few months. Over the years, I've noticed the jump in prices but attributed it to the renovations made to the shop. With Covid slowing down business, I understood the money had to be made up somewhere, and so I let things slide. After all, neighborhood shops like this are at risk...which is why they should treat and charge their customers fairly. A few days ago, I visited the shop and was quoted 3x the normal price I've been paying for the item. I was flabbergasted and thought maybe I heard the rep incorrectly. I didn't. Needless to say, I left, drove up the street to another shop and found what I needed at a fair price. Later, after reading other reviews, I realized that I wasn't the only one with a poor customer experience. In closing, I'm ALL for supporting small businesses but not when they introduce tactics like price gouging. Their decision to do so could very well explain why the shop is seemingly always empty.

He replied "the price is right there, you could've read it," then just stared at me as I walked out. The price labels were tiny and I couldn't read them. The cashier was also on a call on speakerphone while I was in there - said it was his friend. That's totally cool, but he was asking them (presumably his manager) if the store had the product I wanted and then asked me to find it myself and point it out. I had asked about weed edibles, which they have a whole shelf of. He didn't seem to believe they had any until the guy on the phone said so, but they have 20+ products. Maybe I just caught him on an off-day. Maybe he's a new employee. Either way, I left feeling disrespected and don't plan on returning.
