We met with multiple pool companies, and they all offered basically the same generic design. James, unlike the others offered something we never would have thought of. We had some pretty tough "needs", and James somehow managed to fit them all in in such a unique way. Also his communication couldn't have been better throughout the entire process. Now onto our project manager, Zack. Again, can't say enough about his communication and attention to detail. We literally received an email every day informing us of the next step. I contracted to have a pool built this spring and eight weeks later we are swimming. The process was smooth with a few minor hiccups because of my changes. But otherwise the contractors were great. The general manager was wonderful and my sales guy James Zimmerman was the best. I didn't get a spa because it would reduce the size of my pool based on my yard but also cost was a factor. The travertine pavers my fountain, LED lights, everything turned off beautifully. One thing I would say is that the Haywood OmniLogic app does not work on the cell phone for some reason. This is a glitch with Hayward as I've seen so many people complaining about the same thing on Google. I had an unusual parts request, that at best would put a few dollars in their pocket. I only needed to purchase an o-ring for a Hayward filter, and had not been successful in locating a retail dealer. I spoke with Mark in the construction department, and explained my delima. Mark asked me to forward an email with some info and a few pictures to ensure he was clear on what I needed. Upon doing so, Mark called me back within the hour, and had already performed an online search in my behalf, along with supplying me with the part numbers to consider. Mark went out of his way to be gracious and helpful, even though there was clearly no imminent business opportunity. Mark is a fine representative of their firm, and I hope they recognize what an asset and goodwill ambassador they have working for them. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. My pool was done last Sept 2022. I just got a call last week when my PM who was out from having a stroke came to close my file and realized my punch list items were never completed nor was the final inspection done. Let me say, he's not the problem. The Co itself has no integrity or care once they get your money. After he was out on medical leave, I called for 6 months over and over asking about my fencing to be redone correctly and the coping to be fixed. I can say yesterday they responded to him closing out my file and sent someone to redo the coping. It looks worse than before. They also never bothered to fix the fencing last year, so I had to pay out of pocket to get another co to come out. Now, I called today to speak to a manager about the coping job done yesterday. As usual, they took my number and said they would call me. If history shows anything, maybe they will return my call in 2024. read more

I'm not satisfied with the quality of their product or their construction. In the first year, the pump had to be replaced and the vacuum had to be repaired. I'm pretty sure it's still not working correctly. Also, one of the heavy, flagstone tiles literally just came off from the hot tub. I've never seen that before. I will have to hire someone on my own to fix their tile work because they refuseThe tiles should never come off. That's just unprofessional, poor quality work. Update 1/23/18: What an awful and pathetic response. Only 1 stone wasn't installed correctly? Really? And you're proud of this? I paid $45,000 to have everything installed correctly and your response is that at least most of it was done right. Why don't you put a picture on your website of your fine work? I hope potential customers see this review and you're response. $45,000 gets you a mostly completed pool folks. read more

We started the bidding process in 2019 and received bids from several different builders. We ultimately decided not to build ins 2019, but then like most people interested in building 2020 happened and we decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. Blue Haven was not the least expensive bid but also wasn't the most expensive. However, Mitch made us feel so comfortable and took his time to answer all of our questions that we knew Blue Haven was who we were going to go with, because of Mitch. I can be...a lot, not a "Karen," but I have lots of questions and like to know everything. Gary and Skeeter always were available to explain things and help with any issues that came up with the subs. Which, was very few. The actual build process from dig to fill took 8 weeks, with about 2 weeks of rain thrown in there. The crews always showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were considerate of noise, the best you can in a construction zone. The only thing that I wish was different was "Pool School." I anticipated that it would be more comprehensive and include start-up chemicals. It does not. It is literally just learning how the pump works, how to turn it on/off, clean it, etc. We were told to take a sample of water to Leslie's and have them tell us what to add chemical wise. I stressed for weeks on if my chemicals were right, if I was ruining my pool, etc. but, eventually we got the hang of it. Overall, we had an amazing experience and we are so happy to have our backyard oasis. read more

It is very unfortunate that we can not get any one to answer the phone in the construction department. I've called multiple times and even left a few messages with the clerk at the front desk to have someone call me back. The one time I got someone on the phone they said that they would have to look at my file and send someone out, but that never happened. This is very disappointing we spent a lot of money for our dream pool which they did a good job with the initial construction part or the pool. It would be nice if I could get someone to come out and fix or replace the things that should have been corrected in the beginning. We have, uneven spots where water just settles and I have to brush it out every time, also the transition spot where they added to patio is not even and my kids keep hurting themselves. The pool has a rust spot which one came and fixed and the coping is very pool quality of stone which I have mentioned all these problems to them and never got a response. The coping was chipped and cracked and is only getting worse I have to be every careful when my kid's swim the stone keep cutting them this is extremely disappointing. Hopefully someone will reach out soon to fix this problem and make it right. read more

What a wonderful experience we've had working with Blue Haven. Mitch helped design the perfect pool for our family while Gary and the crew delivered on all commitments made. With each stage the process went as outlined. The team kept us informed and always returned calls promptly. Pool school was part of the package and helped us get comfortable with the equipment. In fact such care was taken with our property that our landscaper was amazed yesterday when checking our sprinklers that everything was working perfectly. Not one line was impacted which was shocking given the trenching done for our gas line. We originally had 3 quotes and honestly the cost was so similar we ended up focusing on who we felt we could trust. I'm happy to say we made the right choice! read more

We are in the market for a pool. We called for a bid. What I got was someone who came to my house, took 2 hours of my time while he drew out our pool design by hand using a pencil and stencils. Throughout the process he would pause, shove the paper across the table towards me abruptly and ask "whatcha think about that?" He claimed to know nothing of financing yet wanted to tell me how they had great relationships with lenders etc. I asked for a copy of the drawing and a quote so we could compare against our other bids and I was told to "use my fancy phone to snap a pic of it". Really?!? I got 3-D CAD imaging from other companies and a written estimate. Blue Haven left me with a picture of a paper hand drawing, a business card I had to write the price on myself and a brochure. Pricing was on the lower end but after much research I am seeing people get what they pay for. 4 days later, still no follow up from BH about our decision, or to see if we had any questions. We've put a contract on a pool with another company that treated us like valued customers and didn't waste near as much of our time. Very disappointing experience. read more

The manager made an excuse when brought to his attention by saying "I am sure there were a lot of customers in between your initial appointment and now, that's why there were no return calls." What? Not happy with the customer service at the Lewisville, TX location. We had Laine come out for the initial visit and get our ideas to create design back on May 21st and informed us due to the schedule he may not be able to get the design done and us out to the store to see it and pick out things until the following week, and we were ok with that. We still hadn't heard from him or anyone by last week so I called the office on June 7th and got a call back from Mitch the sales Manager. He said he would get information from Laine and get back to me the next day, and I still have not heard anything 4 days later. I had received good reviews about Blue Haven to use for our new build, but after all this, it seems our business is not important enough and we will go elsewhere. I won't recommend that location to anyone that asks either. read more

We had the best experience with Blue Haven. One of our neighbors recommended them. They didn't disappoint. They were upfront about everything and no pushy sales tactics. We now look out our backyard at an amazingly beautiful pool. My husband and I interviewed 3 companies. We chose Blue Haven because of Matt. He helped us with design, ideas and great suggestions. Throughout the entire process I had the opportunity to meet everyone in this company. Skeeter came out first to share the process and stake out the design. He was one of my GO TO contacts. David, the guy who was in my yard for every new step that took place. He was my sounding board.... Mark the manager of the office...very helpful with tile color and cool decking ideas. I cant even begin to name all the subs that tirelessly worked to complete this project with skill and professionalism. One key bit of advise.....you can never predict when Mother nature shows up to sideline the schedule....While anxious to see it finished....we are now finally there....My backyard oasis is ready for swim season. What an experience this was. We started with going into the office and dealing with Mitch and when we walked out we felt like this was actually going to happen. Mitch drew us up a great design then came out to our house and made sure it was going to work, gave us 4 different options that would work best with our yard. Skeeter came out and did the layout and we got even more excited. Construction was done with minimal inconvenience to us. We now have a great pool that we are going to enjoy for years. The whole staff in the office were great from Mitch in sales , Skeeter and Gary who oversaw the construction to Lisa who seems to make that place run like a machine. They treated our 6 year old so well even let her swim in the pool they have on site. We got quotes from other places and so glad we went with Blue Haven. My only negative comment is I wish someone would have come out at the end of construction to make sure everything was done correctly but we did get phone calls to make sure we were satisfied and if we were not I'm sure they would have fixed it. read more

We could not even get a call back. I reached out multiple times to both the main office as well as the sales rep and nothing. In the beginning Jacob came out and met with us and designed our pool and advised on what would be the best fit for our needs. We met him in the office to pick out the design materials and colors. He was patient, pleasant, and very professional. Through the entire build out, A.J. (I think he was the onsite Foreman) was excellent, and extremely responsive from start to finish. There were several issues that arose with the various contractors, however, whenever my husband and I phoned A.J. (morning, or late at night) he was responsive and on top of everything making sure we were happy and taken care of. He also educated my husband on what to do to get the pool started and how to maintain it. Months after completion of the pool A.J. phoned to check up on us to make sure everything was good and in good working order.
