The owner came out to provide me a quote on a full bathroom remodel. He performed his due diligence and told me it would probably be a week before I received the quote. It's been a little over a month since he was at my house and I've yet to receive a quote nor a follow up phone call. After having Texas Remodelers & Builders into our home to do a walkthough and prepare estimates and bids for a kitchen remodel project (and potential master bath remodel too) the very least I would expect is a follow up and written estimate as promised for the work that was discussed. Unfortunately that never occurred. After waiting over a week to hear back from the company and the gentlemen that came out, I followed up myself to ask about the estimate and bid. On that call they were apologetic and promised to have an estimate to me within 24 hours. It never happened. Obviously at that point I moved on and hired a company that did an awesome job and completed work in our home that we love. But it doesn't change the fact that this is a pretty big lack of professionalism on the part of Texas Remodelers and Builders. If they didn't want the job, were too busy, didn't think the project was a fit for them etc---no problem at all. But it's probably a good idea to communicate that to potential clients. read more

I want to start off by saying that I very rarely if ever review anything. But, I was so impressed with this company, that I felt they deserved a shout out. We needed to have all of our siding replaced and some new doors installed. We got a few bids and while this one was not the lowest (nor the highest) we felt most comfortable moving forward with them. And I am so glad we did! They did a phenomenal job! After all of the work they put in and the attention to detail, the cost was more than justified. They say you get what you pay for.... I believe that we truly did get what we paid for and then some. This company has been absolutely amazing to work with. They are extremely communicative and go above and beyond. Richard, the lead contractor on the job, worked with me on every aspect. He would let me know when people were coming, if they weren't coming (we had some weather delays) and always showed up to get make sure all was going according to plan. He always responded immediately if I had questions/concerns. They even, at our request (and their creativity) were able to also reuse our hardware and fixtures. They painted the items and they looked brand new! I will use them for any house project I have going forward. They do outstanding work! read more

Called their office to get a response, but had to leave a message. Still no call back? What would happen if you gave the job, would you have to call them all the time to get a reply? Pretty disappointing when you try to reach the business and leave several messages and then no one even bothers to return your call. You can't have a voicemail set up that says "we can't keep up with the volume and haven't figured out the way for someone to answer the phone and tell you - the customer, that we can't help you?" If you're too busy to take on more jobs that's fine, but at least let potential customers know that. It's basic customer service. read more

Since I found TRBCO on yelp I feel compelled to pay it forward and write a review. We worked w Mark Rash and his team to extensively remodel an older Southlake home. We painted, retextured walls, updated lighting in the entire house, installed new oak flooring throughout with new baseboards and custom trim, remodeled staircase and installed a beautiful floor to ceiling custom marble fireplace to replace a dated stone brick facade. This is the 3rd remodel project I have done (others in San Fran and SoCal) and Mark is hands down the best contractor I've ever worked with. He is extremely responsive, had attention to detail and takes pride in his work. Most importantly he operates his business with integrity and character. With ANY remodel unforeseen issues arise and Mark deals with them in a very transparent and fair manner. While TRBCO might not be bargain basement pricing I do feel that the level of service and craftsmanship provided is very fair and plan to use them again for future projects. read more

We were beyond thrilled with John and Aaron as our contractors. I can't say enough good things about both of them, and would highly, highly recommend. We had a large remodel project, that involved removing the walls between the kitchen, dining room and living room, and then a complete remodel of the kitchen area. Their recommendations were all excellent, including the fact that we should get an architect to evaluate for wall support before we even started. They were both extremely personable and hands-on, and we consistently reachable at all times. They offered a quote that was very reasonable, especially compared to others, and finished the job in line with budget and on time. I also don't think we would have received better service from anyone else. When the store we purchased appliances from came in to measure (after the custom built cabinets were installed) they said it was "the easiest measuring job they had ever done, as whoever our contractors were knew what they were doing. All valves and plugs were in the exactly correct spots." John and Aaron had us purchase the appliances before cabinets were built and put in place, so that they could make sure (based on model numbers) everything was exactly where it should be. The work crew appeared timely at my front door each and every morning. and when needed, worked on Saturdays. We recently had some water damage in a hallway due to a water heater leak. What made it worse was this happened when we were out of town. By the time we made it home the water may have been saturating into the wood floors, base boards, walls, etc for two weeks. Not only was there damage, there was a horrible smell. Thankfully, some close friends had just had a complete remodel on their entire first floor and couldn't stop raving about the company they used, Texas Remodelers & Builders. We called them on a Wednesday evening at 6pm & one of the partners, Aaron Dowdy understood the panic in my voice and was at our home at 7pm that same evening. We received a verbal estimate that night & within a couple of days Aaron and his crew started the removal of the damaged areas to stop the possibility of further damage. We planned on remodeling our kitchen and guest bath in the future, but with the leak & the work that would have to be completed, we decided to have Aaron give us an estimate for everything all at once...and we are so pleased that we did! Even though we hadn't planned on a renovation so soon after moving into our home, it turned out beautifully. Absolutely thrilled with my new kitchen! After handling our master bath remodel last year, we knew we wanted Texas Remodelers and Builders to handle our kitchen renovation. It is amazing to see a vision that only existed in my mind come to life in the kitchen. We gutted the kitchen completely, added headers where needed, relocated the cooktop and added a gas line for a gas range, added venting for the range, added a pot filler, relocated a wall oven, expanded the island and provided seating, relocated the refrigerator and added a line for a plumbed coffee maker (yay!), relocated the pantry, all new cabinets customized to fit my space with soft close cabinets and drawers, lowered my window seat to an appropriate height for the table, ripped out the tile floor and added hardwood that tied in exactly with my existing floors, added much needed overhead lighting, chandeliers, above and below cabinet lights - all with dimmer switches and timers where needed, and much more, so this was a pretty major undertaking. Through it all John and his team were in constant contact, from the initial planning stages to completion, letting me know what would be happening and when. Everyone showed up when they were supposed to show up. The demolition was one of the cleanest I've ever seen, in fact every contractor was careful to clean up before they left for the day. Change orders were handled beautifully. John and his crew made this renovation easy and stress free. He (wisely) made sure that the new coffee maker was installed first! Communication, execution and follow through are truly exceptional with this company. Not only is the kitchen gorgeous, the layout is much better and everything works beautifully. We had significant damage in this area from all the storms. So my neighbors and I all did a little research. So Happy we went with John and his crew(s). He is beyond professional and helped me to understand line by line on the breakdown form what amount goes to what repair, from my Insurance Claim. The State Farm Adj did not care to help me. Some of the guys came out and walked the property and went over everything with STF and then scheduled me to get everything done within 2 weeks of my claim. I highly suggest you do the same...that way everyone is on the same page as far as payments. My roof, and gutters look fabulous. They were able to schedule me for some extra work I needed done while they were here, at my request, Insulation and also do some interior work from water damage. This is truely a One-Stop-Shop. I needed some help understanding different crews are for different jobs John asked me my schedule and when they could come out to take care of what needed to be done. They were always on time and cleaned up after themselves. They also respected my no shoe policy in my house. Anytime I had a question or concern I immediately had a response. I did have to have the dish people out and reset our dish for the satellite. That was at no cost...so no worries there. Just note incase your husband is addicted to sports and it is the MAVS Playoffs...he needs Satellite LOLOL. Very happy with all the work and the professionalism of this company.
