Came in on a Wednesday evening as a group of 4 and easily got seats at the bar where Victoria was our friendly bartender. Several pints later, the entire bar is one big family hanging out. We tried the super nachos at the owner's recommendation... And they did not disappoint. What makes these nachos super is the addition of TOTS! You read that right. Tortilla chips AND tater tots covered in black olives, tomatoes, ground beef, onions, sour cream, and jalapeños. Victoria also gave us a couple sides of their housemade salsa for an extra kick! We'll definitely be back to try some of the other items on their large food menu and to enjoy the back patio when the weather warms up. read more

My friends and I went here to have a drinks, then went across the street to sand trap, for a celebration of life. I was only there for an hour or so before, I was not feeling good so I had a friend pick me up. I went to pick up my car at 9:45 am. My car was towed!! I had to pay $395.00 in cash because custom towing and recovery don't except cards. $100.00 of that $395 was for after hours charge at 10:00 am on a Sunday. Then $45.00 was for storage charge for storing my car not evan for 2 hours. I would be charged $45.00 a day to have my car there. This blows my mind, since it is illegal to drive while drinking. They have no problem taking our money for the alcohol drinks that we got from them. Which makes me not legal to drive. Then not Evan give me 24 hours to pick up my car. This is not ethically or morally right. This owner does not care about the safety of his community or the people that come to his bar. read more

So last time we were there, we we're told to come back and try some of the amazing food. We stop in on Saturday. We had to wait for service. We finally got our drinks n had to wait longer for our food. I had a Josh bugger was really dry. Not the same bartender . Service was not so great. We will give it one more try hoping to see if we can Get the first bartender. read more

The food is the only reason that they kept this four star. The first impression of this place was horrible. I was with my 21 year old wife and friend who is 23 and we had just finished climbing down by Massacre. As soon as we opened the door every A-typical middle aged Idaho man just stared daggers at us. It took a good 10 minutes before the waitress even came to see us and another 40 minutes after until the food was out. The waitress was very unfriendly at first, but warmed up and was very good about getting us refills for our soda drinks. They checked our ID upon entry which I was fine with. The food saved it, if the food had been average I would have given this place 2 stars. I got the Chum Lee burger and it was really good. Large burger and the Swiss with mushrooms and grilled onions was a perfect pair. Lots of fries as well. Be wary if you are younger and this is your first time through, if you can get past the "locals only" feel you will be impressed with the food. read more

Menu prices are higher than posted on their website. Was charged an automatic 15% gratuity and a to-go order fee, none of which was posted anywhere. Mediocre food and overall unsatisfied by the extreme prices for only getting 2 items. Won't be coming back anytime soon read more

I'm very disappointed with both the food and the service. We arrived to a lukewarm welcome and ordering drinks seemed like an inconvenience to the bartender. The burger was subpar and much less than expected from prior reviews. The regular customers were downright rude and I can see why the Sand Trap across the street was packed whereas this place only had a handful of patrons. Some of the reviews grade the Heeler down for allowing smoking. Under new ownership for about a year and a half and is now non smoking and vaping, a good improvement. The food is still great and the menu is quite diverse for pub fare. Daily specials and happy hour make it my personal favorite neighborhood restaurant/pub. read more

This hole in the wall bar located in the Deep South of pocatello is one of the rare hidden gems of the city. The burgers may very well be the best in town and you wouldn't think it to look at the place. The chumley burger is my personal favorite with sautéed mushrooms and onions with Swiss. If you ever find yourself in the area looking for a great burger at a reasonable price I would wholeheartedly endorse it. The patties are hand made and enormous, and the beef is wonderful. I would give it a 5 but the decor leaves a bit to be desired. Don't be swayed by its outer appearance. Definitely worth a try. read more

Stopped at the Blue Heeler for the first time tonight. We're new to the area, and since there aren't a lot of eating or drinking establishments in the South Valley area, we thought we'd give it a try. OMGoodness! The "chumley burger" is unbelievable. If their other offerings are on par, I'm glad we moved. The place is clean inside, the patrons seemed friendly enough, and the help was outstanding.
