It's dog friendly! Yay! Except they don't have a dog menu anymore as mentioned on other websites (dog friendly ones), however they do have dog treats! My boyfriend and I stopped by for a drink and lunch. Food was pricey and really wasn't worth the meal. I ordered the burrito and it had penne pasta in it. The menu said Mac and cheese and assumed it was the elbow pasta. I figured I'd give it a try since I've never had pasta in a burrito before. I did not like it. I ended up unwrapping the burrito and just eat the sausage. I don't like penne pasta and the sauce was really salty. He ordered the chicken wings with sauce on the side. Really hard to mess this up. It was a Sunday night, so not many things were open in Pocatello I really wanted a burger so I chose the Gouda burger and happened to par it with a peanut butter stout beer The two went excellent together since the burger had tomato jam on it!! . The ambience was quiet, even though it was 50% full. They even allow you two samples of beer for free There were many other things on the menu that I wanted to try, including beets and brussels sprouts. Next time.!! read more

I went to Off The Rails Brewing while on my way to see the Craters if the Moon National Monument. I grabbed a lunch here and got a beer. I had the Karwendel Kolsch which I thought was just okay. I have had better as far as Kolschs go but it was fine in a pinch. Flavor highlights with this beer were was a bit of a biscuity flavor and was smooth in texture. I liked the food quite a bit more. I like to eat light when on a long, summery hot car trip and looked at their salad menu. I got the Caboose Caprese Salad which I really enjoyed. I love anything Caprese and this was no exception. The sliced mozzarella, tomatoes, basil and balsamic vinegar were great and made to be a nice, light meal as the portion was not large. This brewery is situated right downtown Pocatello and so in addition to lunch you can also do some shopping and all the perks of being in a downtown location. read more

The food is really good. They seem to have quite a variety of different beers. Inside the restaurant is really clean. Bathrooms are clean and they have some cool music. I do recommend on a holiday weekend that you have more than one person working in the whole restaurant serving trying to pour beers. Unfortunately, I was not able to try a second Beer because either they ran out or Shawn was too busy and never came back. They didn't have any T-shirts which again you would think over a holiday weekend they would have increased supplies If you want good food, I would try the food here if you're looking for a quick beer run be prepared. I did not expect to find a restaurant like this in Pocatello. My kids love trains so we sat on the back patio and watched the trains pass. The blueberry lemonade and bottled root beer were perfect for our beverages. Battleship burger, Pineapple Express sandwich, peddler pasta... all were uniquely delicious. We tried cheese curds, onion rings and sweet potato fries. Needless to say the food was great and ambiance couldn't be beat! We will come back next time we are in Pocatello. read more

Beer was decent, although the tripel and brown had kinda a *tangy* finish that i don't usually associate with those types of beer. I have to deduct points for how they price their flights: they don't. I got the bill expecting "1 flight of beer, $x.xx" No, each of the four beers was a different price. LITERALLY. ($2.75, 3.00, 4.00, 4.50) what is the point of ordering a flight? there is no point. you're better off asking to sample a few and then picking one. bartenders engaged in conversation only when prompted. not very friendly vibes here. read more

My lovely wife and I are full time RVer and one of the things we do is enjoy breweries where ever we go. We have been across the country and back multiple times and have been to breweries from San Diego to Maine. Off the Rails was an absolute hidden gem and is now firmly in our top ten breweries in the country. First off we did 2 flights with different beers and there wasn't a bad beer in the mix. Their Spuma was a Chocolate Cherry Pistachio Stout that tasted like a Cherry Bomb candy from when I was a kid. Their Brown Ale was an enigma as I expected it to be short on flavor due to its color, it was more like an Amber than a brown. I was pleasantly surprised when the flavor knocked my socks off!!! Lastly, when it comes to a great brewery we judge them on technical points, but also style points. And Off The Rails is a solid 10 in this category. Why you ask? Because we met one of the loveliest bartender there. Jess was absolutely amazing, friendly as can be and made us feel like we were locals and friends. In short, Jess is AMAZING!!! Great little place downtown. We were passing through on a long road trip and decided to stop in. We had our dog and kids and they were so accommodating to both. Our dog was able to sleep under the table and kids did activity books. The staff were great and were so concerned about making sure our orders were right. They upgraded our salad and gave us a discount on the kids pizza because they made some simple mistakes that were quickly and easily fixed. They even gave us lots of info on the places we were traveling. The food was good and so was the beer and the service was great! read more

Great bar food. Took a stop with my wife and got some drinks. Food was great and service was great too. Nothing too special but good food.

The burger I had was only two buns, a slab of beef with an onion ring and barbecue sauce. The onion ring was limp and soggy from laying in the barbecue sauce. Not impressed and that was better than the bad service from the waitress, she was just rude and used fowl language in front of my wife and I and forgot to bring my salad first like I had asked her to. Food was very good. We had brussel sprouts and a garden salad before dinner. Both were great. We had a thin crust pizza that the staff was great about letting us substitute for our favorite toppings. Very tasty. I had a vanilla creme ale beer that was wonderful. The we ordered creme brulee and these sourdough beignets. Excellent! The service was timely and fun. 2nd weekend in a row we have tried their brunch and I'm not sure what happened, but the quality of their food is not what it used to be. They served me an English muffin that was hard as a rock and not buttered. I couldn't cut through it. They said sorry, it was a little dried out. Gave me a replacement, still no butter. This was the eggs Benedict, no butter, 4 pieces of spinach, not wilted or cooked, on a dry English muffin with a very tiny piece of uncooked Canadian bacon and a poached egg with a tiny drizzle of hollandaise sauce. Not very flavorful and didn't taste like hollandaise sauce. Not sure if there's a new cook but last time I waste $16 on a dried out horrible breakfast that look like a kid put together. read more

Went here for a casual lunch and a cold beer with the Husband. There was ample seating to choose from-high top tables, some low tables, and bar seats. We started with a flight of beer- 4 beers of your choosing and they were all very good! We got the artichoke app and again- very yummy. We split a pizza the deadwood and it was the best pizza I've had in a long time! The crust was sourdough and it had great chew and flavor. Very well done! Highly recommend this place. I was nervous that it would have too much sauce. So I was surprised when it was essentially dry. I asked for more bbq sauce and then was even more disappointed by the strange sauce I received. I had others taste it to see if I was tripping. Nope, no good. No bbq sauce qualities to it. I had upgraded to sweet potato fries. They were pretty burnt and very sparse. Maybe they need smaller plates because it came out looking oddly empty. My friend had a chicken sandwich and it was also super dry. I had the "Sweater Weather" beer and it was really good. It was smooth and had coffee notes. 5 stars here We also got the fried pickle appetizer and it was pretty great. I feel like there is a lot of potential here, but was really disappointed in the food. Simply put, it's high end bar food. Not horrible, but not great. If you're going for drinks and looking for a little something to eat, you'll be stoked. If your going out just to grab dinner, you might be a little disappointed. Waitress/bartender was overwhelmed and it showed. Friendly but just trying to entertain too many people all by herself. Guessing the cook was in the same boat. Might have been an off night. Went in at 6:30pm and was one of four tables ordering food.
