Please avoid this office. I have been a loyal patient for many years and have enjoyed wonderful care and service. However, their lack of transparency is extremely concerning. I went in for a routine cleaning, as I have done for many years. I had some sensitivity and the hygienist went to check if Fluoride was covered by my insurance. She came back and said "yes it is" and proceeded with the rest of the treatment. I walked out happy. A few months later, I received a bill for $190, of which my insurance paid $99. All previous visits had been covered 100%, with no copay necessary. I am now being asked to pay the remaining balance. At no time was I informed there would be a copay for services. Not before, during, or after treatment. There was no communication, only an expectation for payment through a letter in the mail. This practice is unethical. Calling their office yielded no results. I will be looking for a new dentist who will communicate cost of services to their patients. read more

The front staff is rude and act like they don't want to be there. My son had 4 molars removed and they wouldn't even prescribed a strong ibuprofen. He ended up having heavy bleeding and went to their sister clinic which prescribed him antibiotics, cleaned up his mouth nicely, and gave him strong ibuprofen for the strong pain. He ended up going back to their sister location for a check up and discovered that he had a piece of a molar that was never removed during his original procedure! I will not be doing business with them ever again. read more

Beware! When my wife asked they said they "took" Delta Dental. It was never explained that claiming to "take" Delta Dental was semantically different from being in the Delta Dental network. That seems purposefully, or maybe accidentally, deceptive. My wife trusted this was the amount our insurance would normally cover. But, we later found that in-network dentists have caps on what they can charge, and obviously they are not held to those guidelines. We paid significantly more than our Delta Dental insurance would have charged us with a different dentist for all services rendered. So, the issue was about being deceived with unclear semantics, either purposely or due to an oversight from the person that said they "take" Delta Dental. They still maintain they "take" Delta Dental. Part of this is on us...for being busy, and having a job, and not being a dental insurance expert. On another note, I was told I needed two crowns, and once I got a second opionon I only needed one crown, and I paid a 3rd of the price they quoted me here. read more

With my dental history and past experiences in mind, BHD's diagnosis's didn't add up. Red flags went up when they called and told me what my portion of services would be and that they also offer "cash prices". I went with my instincts and got a second opinion from my old dentist in my old OC neighborhood. It was worth the drive. You can see the difference in the bill amounts. My dentist said I did NOT need most of the services quoted by BHD. My dentist charges under $300 for a crown vs BHD $1,655.00. read more

Highly recommended! We were new to the area in 2021 when our next-door-neighbor recommended BHD to my husband for an emergency fix. SO glad she did. Everyone in our family is now a client - even our college-attending son who lives in Virginia! BHD is an old-fashioned customer-serviced based dentistry with state-of-the-art equipment. Their office is gorgeous, obsessively clean, and the staff is super friendly and respectful. Great location in downtown Claremont. I love that they send text reminders for appointments! They accept our rather obscure dental insurance, too, which helps tremendously. After seeing close-up photos of a cracked back tooth that had a filling that was failing, I just had my first crown done and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Frank was the dentist and he is amazing! So was Sara, who did the temporary fitting. The whole process was entirely pain free and super efficient. The team took extra time to make sure the crown fit perfectly, not just "good enough". Dr. Frank tested my bite about 10 times to make sure my jaw was aligning correctly before he let me leave the office. My husband has had crowns done by many dentists (we move a lot) and since I file insurance for the family I can say the pricing for us at BHD seems to be in line with what other dentists charge. UPDATE TO MY FIRST REVIEW: As much in life as in business consistency is key. Blue House has this in Spades! Dr Finazzo continues to be the best dentist I've ever worked with and it's not even close! Not to mention everyone else who works there is amazing as well. The ladies at reception set the tone every single visit with a meaningful greeting and conversation. The Dental techs are skilled, polite and very easy to talk to about what's going on during the procedure. As far as my procedure which is a full mouth rehab or restoration, I am beyond happy with the results. We started in early May and I've only got 2 visits left until I'm done! The place is great! Front office is very nice and professional. The equipment is all high tech! They have monitors that show your X-rays but also pictures of your teeth and gums. Super happy I switched over! Had been with my previous dentist for 12yrs and finally had to break that up. My cleaning was nothing like I've ever had before! This was an actual cleaning! Not just that polish process but actual deep cleaning to get all in those crevices where it tends to build up! Dr. Ned redid one of my crowns and it looks like my natural teeth now! This review is way overdue! I absolutely love my dentist- I can't believe I'm saying this about a dental office- but I really do! I live in AltaLoma and drive to Claremont because I refuse to try another place. The staff here is top-notch, they treat me like family and are always so pleasant and professional. The dentists Dr. Ned is great, and hygienist too, and Chissie is always super helpful with helping me set up my appts. Oh and they have TVs everywhere! I get to watch movies every visit. I'd give more stars if I could! Have a major fear of the dentist and a huge teeth drilling pet peeve, so had to convince myself over and over that I needed to go. I finally found the courage and called them with hopes to fix a potential cavity issue and they set me up with an appointment the same day, deep cleaned my teeth and drilled and filled my cavity all with zero pain and while being extremely comforting at the same time. I sought this dentistry out after it was highly recommended from those close to me. I drove 45 minutes to this location and I can tell you that my experience there was 100x better than any I have had in Orange County. I asked if I can have a tooth cleaning, followed by an implant in one visit...I'm very demanding I know...but they made it happen with ease! Let me start by saying my entire family and I used to be DEATHLY afraid of the dentist, but Dr. Ned is so gentle and calming! We have all been seeing him exclusively since we found him! He truly makes you feel like family. All dental work I have gotten from him is absolutely PAIN FREE and to be honest I can never even tell when he's giving me the numbing shot, I have never been able to say that about any other dentist. The entire office is so beautiful and welcoming, and the waiting room/lobby is very homey and warm. I needed a crown and a filling replaced and, being new to the area, I visited this office because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was different. I had my initial consultation with Dr. Ned to discuss the work and when I went in for the procedures, I was seen by a different dentist. When I'm new to a dental practice, I prefer to have the initial consult with the dentist who will be actually doing the work. The office never mentioned that I'd be seeing a different dentist and when I asked they said Dr. Ned was called into a meeting. I needed to get the work done so I went ahead with it. They did a filling on one side and a crown on the other on they same day and unfortunately now my bite is horribly off. In retrospect, I feel they should have done one side at a time to allow some frame of reference for my bite alignment. It didn't occur to me at the time but I wish it would have occurred to them. Dr. Ned, Gina, and I'm sorry I don't know his dental assistants name and his dental hygienists (I've seen two different women)are all professionals and make going to the dentist easy. I've had a lot of work done lately, fillings, root canals, deep cleaning, and today Zoom whitening and have been very pleased with the outcome each time. In the past with other practices I've had to see an Endodontist but Dr.Ned was able to do it and saved my badly neglected incisor and back molar. He has a pleasant chair side manner. He has up to date technology. He even has Netflix so one is distracted with watching a movie or nature documentary while he does what he needs to do. No one is pushy with services they just explain and recommend. Gina is very knowledgeable and kind and remembers the little things you mention in passing about family, his dental assistant is kind, and considerate and remembered what I like to watch on Netflix, both hygienists I saw were excellent and explained everything they were doing each step of the way, and his Zoom specialist gave me the whitest teeth I've ever had!
