I posted before about how much I like Claremont Serenity, but they have exceeded even their normal great service. I recently had a crown come loose, and they were able to get me in the next day, where they fitted a temp. crown while the new one was at the lab. Their service and ability to help when needed is excellent! Added bonus - They are not one of those dentists that push unnecessary procedures. My wife and I have had those types of dentists in the past, and it felt like you were buying a car from a high-pressure salesman with every visit. I love this dental office. The staff and dentists are all so nice and very professional. My insurance changed and I had to see a different dentist, she told me I needed $7,500 in "work" with another $2,500 of work we would "watch" for now!! I was in shock considering I have gone to the dentist every 6 months my whole life and take good care of my teeth. They charge 25 dollars for a missed appointment. I have a 6 week old and completely forgot about the appointment (I'm sure some mom's can relate). I have never missed an appointment before. I called to explain my situation and they didn't care. I understand there are rules but it's unfortunate that they couldn't sympathize with my situation. Dr Hashimi is the best dentist I ever met. Regardless the great work he done for my teeth, the best thing is how he done it with my 10 years old daughter, Sabrina. He was patient and helpful. He explains all procedures to Sabrina so she doesn't freak out or scare. And when it's done he reminds her to brush everyday and not to eat or drink things that will affect her teeth. Plus their staffs are very nice. After all, it was Sabrina's first time walked out from a dentistry with a smile on her face. I will definitely recommended this place to all my friends and families. I had been looking an honest dentist for a long time. I have had a need for a lot of dental work. I had a full moth reconstruction done by dr haris. He did an amazing job. His fees were extremely reliable. His staff was super nice. Best of all the dental work is great. I brought my dad who had seen several TMJ specialitsts as well. Dr hashimi was able to make him a mouth guard that resolved all his headaches. I would really highly recommend Dr Hashimi for you dental needs. I hate the going to the dentist. I know, I know, I should be thankful for modern medicine and access to dental insurance, but to me, visiting the dentists sits somewhere between attending funerals and getting food poisoning. I've always felt like the dentist is the only person in medicine who will openly judge you "Geez, do you even floss? Why haven't you been coming in every six months!?" Hence, when I first went to see Dr. Palaez, I had that look on my face that your dog has in the waiting room at the vet. I had two appointments lined up and I was getting 3 cavities filled at each appointment. However, I can honestly say, both of these appointments were the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. I didn't experience a bit of pain, and furthermore, Dr. Palaez takes the time to thoroughly explain everything he is doing in a clear fashion. My last dentist seemed to snap at his dental assistants and talk to them like they were idiots. Dr. Palaez seems to treat the staff with a lot of respect and I commend that. The entire staff is helpful, all the way down to breaking down your charges clearly as you head out the door. If you hate the dentist, go here. She explained my PPO Benifits and broke everything down in a plan. She has been in the field for over 20 years! She knows her job well. Sam (Dental Assistant) works the back. Nightmare, they had me there forever and then said they couldn't fix it and tried to upsell on a kooky bridge. I walked out. They do good work, but will definitely try to get you to spend more money by strongly recommending work that is not absolutely needed and is very expensive. Pretty inflexible with their recommendations, so you either have to do it and pay $$$, or go somewhere else. I hope my experience will encourage readers looking for a trustworthy, kind, and gentle dentist who really cares about his patients. I first met Dr. Hashimi when he and his friend Sheila visited our auto dealership. We are taught in the auto business that first impressions are made in the first three seconds after meeting someone. Well that most certainly goes both ways. My impression & experience of Dr.Hashimi (I called him Harris when I first met him) was that he was one of the nicest guest I had ever met. Sheila was friendly and kind as well. I did earn his business and while we were talking he mentioned that he & a partner Dr.Palaez were opening a dental office in Claremont. I told him that I wanted to be his first patient. He said he would be happy to welcome me. I must tell you that going to the dentist is not on my list of fun things to do, however Dr. Hashimi had this special kindness & gentleness in his personality that gave me the confidence to be in his care as my dentist. I was hoping that he was as good as I thought he would be. I remember when I went to his office; it was this small medical building with a small parking lot. I mention this because we all at times place value on the building or how well furnished the office is or how large of an office staff they have. Well I found the office to be very clean & functional; Sheila was there to greet me. I was made to feel welcome & comfortable and frankly she made me feel like one of the family come to visit. My first impression of Dr.Hashimi & Sheila was right on. When I was brought into the exam room I was greeted by a sweet dental assistant who greeted me with a smile and proceeded to take a set of x-rays to map out my entire mouth as per Dr.Hashimi (I started calling him Dr.Hashimi when I became his patient, out of respect) He examined my entire mouth and recorded gum measurements with his assistant He went over all the x-rays with me & took the time to explain to me what he felt needed to be done. What I appreciated most was that he was looking at my entire dental picture. He told me of all the work that he recommended. A path to complete dental perfection. He recommended that I see a periodontist to address some specific issues. That experience was a little painful; however it did correct the problem. Once back at Dr.Hashimi's office he went over again what he felt needed to be done as well as elective work. The first time under the drill is by no means a joy ride; however Dr.Hashimi made it as pain free as anyone could make it. I must tell you at my age of 71; I have been to many dentists in my life time. Some of them were fair, some were good and some were very good. I moved Dr.Hashimi to the top of my list as Best Dentist. Regarding the costs, he told me what the costs were going to be with my insurance. He presented me with what the total job for a complete mouth restoration would be. Although I felt the costs were fair and probably more than fair, I said that I wish I could do all the work that was recommended, however I could not afford to do it all at once. I told him that I was trying to clear all my dept before I take on any further dept even at 0%. Even though he understood that I was not going to be his most cost effective patient he was more concerned with making it easier for me to proceed a little at a time so that I would receive the care that was needed and also building that winning smile. When my HMO added dental care this year, I had to take a leap of faith and change dental offices. My previous care for over 20 years was with a superior office in Claremont and I was not happy to change. However, the personalities and professionalism from Isela in the front office to Dr. Palaez in the exam room were 5 star. The waiting and treatment rooms were clean and modern. There was no need to set up a separate appointment with a hygienist as the dentist did my cleaning. Isela took notice of my insurance plan's requirements and set my next appointment accordingly. The only negative was my first impression of the outside building. No clear marking, needs painting, stark rather then inviting. But, I'm glad I pushed open the door and went inside! read more
