I was a potential new patient. I selected this dentist practice from a list of my insurer's providers. I called the office and explained I would be a new patient and was treated very rudely by what sounded like a young women. She rattled off the procedure to obtain a new patient account so quickly that I didn't understand what she said. I nicely asked her to repeat the procedure and she sarcastically paused a second between each word, as if i were hard of hearing. Even, with this incredibly rude treatment, I still tried to make an appointment twice and my calls were never returned. I am not a fan of being "assigned" to any medical care provider, but when I went online to check the bona fides for Dr. Saad Sagman, I was pleasantly surprised by his education and years of experience. The office is in a pleasant medical arts bldg. and the exam rooms have a nice view outdoors. Dr. Sagman's staff are friendly and helpful and Dr. Sagman himself is like your favorite uncle. I have been going to Dr. Sagman and his team since 2019, after going to a different dentist in the Alta Loma area who did a terrible job on a crown and root canal. I've had no problems with that tooth since Claremont Design Dentistry has taken care of it. The staff is always kind and courteous, and they always make sure you are feeling comfortable during your treatments. Dr. Sagman is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to getting your service done correctly and accurately. He pays attention to every little detail. I trust them so much, I referred my mother to their practice. She has seen Dr. Sagman's associate for at least the past two years. I've been here three times in the last couple of months. The first time I went in to get bonding on my front tooth, as it had chipped. I asked the dentist to do both of my front teeth so they could be even. He had the receptionist tell me no that he wouldn't touch the other tooth. So he did the chipped one only, to which he numbed me for the procedure, I've never been numbed for this before and I questioned it, the dentist said it's just precautionary. He fixed my tooth and later that day the numbness reached up to my nose and made me very uncomfortable. During the same visit I asked about options for the future since he didn't want to do my other tooth, he only recommended getting crowns, (I've been told before that due to my age it's probably not ideal to do something permanent like that yet). During the visit they did a teeth cleaning that seemed very rushed, didn't floss my teeth, they also found 3 cavities. So I made a follow up appointment to have them filled. This is the worst cavity filling I've ever experienced, the procedure was so uncomfortable and I was in a lot of pain after the numbing wore off. One tooth was still painful two weeks later, again never happened before. I went back in for a follow up and he said my filling was probably "too high", I've never heard of that before or experienced it. He said it's very common and that they just need to adjust the filling. Here I am one week later and I'm still experiencing sensitivity in the tooth. I will not be coming back again. Plus, you will get sprayed all over your face during the procedures, yes it's nothing new, but felt excessive. (Also they left a cotton bud in my cheek after my fillings, when I brought it up they just seemed like it's nothing new and happens a lot) The doctor does not have good bedside manner, i asked him about the pros and cons about getting crowns, to which the answers were very vague. During my first exam he never talked to me about my dental health and status. During the procedures he and the other assistant would talk about sports. Just overall not a great experience. read more

Even my insurance provider warned me to always get a second opinion. My old dental office wanted to charge me for dental work that I did not need. The work that they were quoting me on was going to cost me around $6,000. Claremont Design Dentistry gave me a check up and a deep cleaning while also letting me know what I really need and do not need. They made me feel comfortable and made me feel like I'm in good hands. This was my first time coming to this dental office and I had such a pleasant experience. First off, it was nice and clean. I was then greeted by the nicest receptionist, Natalie and attended by several dental assistants who were so warm and cordial. They were professional and took my dental X-rays with ease. I began going here in April 2022 and my experience started off positive. For majority of my life, I rarely got cavities, but all of a sudden I was getting them. I started being a little iffy a year later because I'd always done a really good job of brushing and flossing several times a day, and yet when I would go in for a cleaning, I still had them. Cut to November 20, 2023 and I'm told my teeth look good except for one tooth. That particular tooth had a cavity with 2 surfaces that apparently needed to be filled. Dr. Sagman said that this was a tooth that they'd been "watching" for the last 6 months. I immediately knew he was lying because my paperwork from 6 months ago did not indicate that was a tooth that needed to be watched...it was actually other teeth that they said needed to be. This made zero sense, and on top of that, the tooth that he said had 2 surfaces was on the side of the mouth that I stopped eating on because of a filling he'd done previously that was still giving me pain. Anyway, I was about 99% certain that he was lying. I ended up going for a second opinion at a dentist I'd used previously. This dentist affirmed what I knew to be true, my tooth that allegedly had a multiple surface cavity was just fine!! No cavity whatsoever. So long story short, Dr. Sagman was dishonest about my having a cavity. It makes me wonder if other teeth that he worked on actually needed to be worked on. I obviously won't be returning to him and I would strongly suggest that people not waste their time here. And if you are suspicious that something isn't right, trust your gut. read more

It's a good size office with only one doctor and his assistants which I totally loved! Normally I'm use to big offices with multiple providers which equals too many patients and staff running around. I would absolutely recommend this dentist to anyone and everyone! I went to three different dentists for consultations before finding Claremont Design. The moment I met Dr. Sagman and had my consultation I knew that this was going to be the place to start my journey. I have extreme dental anxiety and because of that I needed quite a bit of work done. They created the perfect treatment plan and broke down the order in which the treatment should be completed. They ensured my copays were accurate with myself and my insurance as well and there were no over charges. They were able to calm my nerves by providing gentle care and explaining what was taking place each visit I had and also while the procedure was being completed. A family member highly recommended this dentist. I've seen at least 4 other dentists regarding my discomfort and pain from eating for over 2 years. I was not obviously satisfied with their recommendations and their diagnosis. Everyone had something different to say. That is why I wanted to get a 2nd, 3rd & 4th opinion. One of the dentist even went as far as telling me that I had to live with that pain for the rest of my life. Wtf?!? But after visiting this doctor he shaved off the little piece of tooth that bothered me and now I'm no longer having the pain issue. Prior to coming here I had to endure a little of 2 years of this pain. I drove all the way from Mission Viejo for this visit. I needed a dental clearance for heart surgery. I initially went to western dental for proximity convenience big mistake. I had no pain, no sensitivity or any symptoms of an infection and he wanted to pull my tooth. I had to return the next day because I have to pre medicate because of my heart issue. They set my appointment at 8 I showed up and they claimed they called me to reschedule for 9. They did not so I googled dentist and I found Claremont Design Dentistry and everyone was fantastic!!!! I think I should start this review with a little bit about myself. When I was 10 I had an traumatic experience when I had a tooth pulled. The dentist who did it hurt me with multipul injections and would not communicate with me as to what was happening. Even before this I had an extreme phobia of needles and that experience left me a severe case of dental phobia. Fast forward 20 years and I haven't seen a dentist since I was 16 years old. My teeth had holes and my old fillings had gone bad. I wanted to eventually get pregnant and I know that it can mess with your dental health. I did not want to lose teeth I could save. It took all of the courage I had to make that first appointment. Luckily the first dentist I chose was Dr. Sagman. He sat with me through several panic attacks, hysterical crying, and full body shakes. (I even made an escape attempt but he talked me down) He listened to my fears with a patient air of professionalism and compassion. He did not let me run out the door and did not let my hysteria stop him from prescribing the best treatment. That man is incredibly calm under pressure. He and I both knew my teeth needed to be fixed and he worked with me to see it through. I allowed him, finally, to numb me and trust me when I say, I barely felt anything. During the procedure he made sure to clearly explain each step, and instrument (is that a needle? How about that one?). Needless to say I made it out alive that first visit and pain free. I had to return several times to get all of my work done and at each visit I grew more and more at ease. I don't even cry at the thought of a needle in my mouth anymore. I want to sincerely thank Dr. Sagman for effectively curing me of my dental phobia, and cracking a few jokes along the way. I can't imagine going to another dentist. read more
