The treatment coordinator was knowledgeable, personable, and took the time to answer all of our questions. We also met Dr. Gray, who was incredibly kind and made my son feel comfortable right away. Although we ultimately chose a different orthodontist due to proximity and in-network insurance savings, we were very impressed with the level of care and professionalism here. If we lived closer, we likely would have moved forward with Dr. Gray. We initially scheduled the consultation based on a strong recommendation from a friend whose family has had a great experience here -- and I can absolutely see why. I truly appreciate the simple fact that they were all so nice here. It all felt so genuine and authentic. Dr. Gray is by far very knowledgeable about his work and you can tell he takes great pride in the work he does. He didn't hesitate to ask for more time to review the case further for one of my kids. Just shows how important it is for him to get a full scope and evaluate everything. I do have to find another provider for general dentistry, and asked if they could help me with that. They recommended Persona dental- looking forward to meeting with them and I'm hopeful to receive good quality care from an honest company. Will update again soon since this was my first time here.

The office is very kid friendly. In addition to the dole whip, they have a video game in the waiting room and they have a token incentive reward system. Kids earn tokens for being on time, taking care of their braces, etc. They can turn in the tokens for prizes. We have never had to wait more than a minute or two for our appointment and Dr.Lee is always so upbeat and pleasant! My daughter gets her braces put on tomorrow and I am certain that Dr.Lee will make the experience pain free and pleasant! He studied my daughter's case and came up with a treatment plan for my daughter's teeth in hope to prevent her from having to do jaw surgery. Fast forward to today, my daughter's teeth have been corrected and Dr. Miao completely saved her from needing to have jaw surgery to correct her underbite. My recent experience trying to get care for my son has been beyond frustrating and deeply concerning. My son is in pain and needs his wisdom teeth removed. I spoke to Silvia, the office manager, who assured me she would contact our insurance and provide an estimate. Days later, she emailed me a quote that raised red flags. When I checked the exact procedure codes on my insurance company's website, I discovered she was charging the full 70%--which is what insurance is supposed to pay--directly to me, the patient. This made it seem like they were billing both me and the insurance the same amount, potentially engaging in double-dipping. When I called the Glendora office to get clarity, the staff said I had to speak with Silvia. She wasn't in, but the front desk casually explained that "this is just the price we feel like charging," and if insurance pays more, they'll refund the patient. That's not how transparent billing or honest medical practice should work. I tried contacting Silvia again, this time at their Claremont Smiles office. Not only was she evasive, but when asked to explain the pricing, she suddenly claimed she needed to speak to the regional manager, Ariana. I reminded her that she is the office manager--yet she couldn't answer a basic question and delayed the conversation for another week. When she finally responded via email, she said my son needed to come in person for an estimate--over a week after I originally reached out and after acknowledging my son's pain. I asked to see the billing breakdown from my husband's previous oral surgery (also done at this office) to compare. My husband was sitting next to me and verbally authorized Silvia to speak to me. She refused to proceed unless he repeated a very specific sentence she demanded, even though I had already explained the request clearly. Once again, she deflected responsibility to Ariana, and when I asked for Ariana's contact information, Silvia hung up on me. The lack of professionalism, the runaround, and the shady billing practices are unacceptable. I will be reporting Ecco Dental to my insurance company. After seeing close-up photos of a cracked back tooth that had a filling that was failing, I just had my first crown done and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Frank was the dentist and he is amazing! So was Sara, who did the temporary fitting. The whole process was entirely pain free and super efficient. The team took extra time to make sure the crown fit perfectly, not just "good enough". Dr. Frank tested my bite about 10 times to make sure my jaw was aligning correctly before he let me leave the office. My husband has had crowns done by many dentists (we move a lot) and since I file insurance for the family I can say the pricing for us at BHD seems to be in line with what other dentists charge.
