Once I entered, I was amazed at how warm & comfortable this cozy place is. I was greeted by the Bartender and also several customers. I walked over and had a conversation with a few guys just watching the game. I felt like I was at home. My Fish came out hot, fresh & amazing. I absolutely loved the fish !!! I will definitely become a new "regular" here at this location

St. Andrew's Tavern is a true "tavern" in every sense of the word. It's family owned and operated, with generations of recipes handed down. Personally, I'm obsessed with the Steak and Kidney Pie with a side of peas and chips. (Yes, that's fresh beef kidney, and yes, chips mean fries.) Wash that down with a cold Tenant's on draught, and all is right with the world. And just about anything on their menu is tasty, genuinely English and will warm your soul, in only the way a proper pub can. Add to all this the wonderful people, the fun weekend nights, the high-quality football watching and shouting (Yes, football means soccer.), and St. Andrew's Tavern is the most complete, welcoming, traditional and proper English Pub anywhere in Central Florida. It's like a home away from home.

Great little dive bar I have driven past a hundred times but never stopped until tonight…read more We were on our way home from Tavares and stopped by to meet up with a few friends. Upon entering we realized one of our favorite bands was playing here tonight, Monticelli, sweet!! These brothers are the best, what a serendipity:) It's a bummer we got here so late but we were able to catch the end of their second set and most of their third set. They even played Megadeth for me, sweet! It wasn't too busy at the bar, mostly locals but it took forever to get a drink. I don't know if the bartender was new but she couldn't tell me the price for a bottled yuengling. She said she needed my name for a tab and I told here I'm paying cash, so how much? She said it depends on which band is playing, what???? Anyway I ended up just taking the beer and went to watch the band because she never returned to take my money. When I went to cash out before leaving it still took her 5 min to figure out what I owed for one beer really??? It ended up costing $5, great. Wish I knew that from the get go. The bar is a decent size and they have a large open area where they can set up more tables if needed. There is also a decent sized dance floor and stage for local bands. The sound was decent and lighting was passable for a dive bar. The men's restroom only has one toilet and urinal in a shared stall, a bit weird but it will due. They have a large parking lot with plenty of parking, which is great for crowds or food truck parties. All-n-all, a great place to hang with friends, have a cold beer, and listen to live music.

Naturally, I celebrated by heading to Hideaway for breakfast. While I'm not a regular, I've been visiting Hideaway for years. The original location across the street had a classic smoke-filled dive bar atmosphere, and I could tell stories all day about memorable experiences there. Those stories are best saved for another time. The new location is unquestionably an upgrade in comfort and appearance, though it lacks some of the character and smoke that made the old place so memorable. Fortunately, the things that matter most remain intact. The beer is still ice cold, the drinks are solid, and the food is consistently above average at prices that are hard to argue with. This particular morning, I grabbed a seat at the bar and took advantage of their $5 breakfast burrito (available before 9 AM). The menu lists bacon or ham as protein options, but I was also offered sausage, which I happily chose along with the eggs and cheese. I'm glad I did. The sausage was nicely rendered with crisp edges that delivered little flavor bombs throughout the burrito. Wanting to dress things up a bit, I asked for pico de gallo. My server laughed and replied, "This is a dive bar," before offering salsa instead. Fair enough. The salsa, combined with a generous squeeze of their hot sauce, turned out to be exactly what the burrito needed. In fact, it was so good I briefly considered ordering a second one to go. Then I could practically hear my doctor whispering in my ear, advising restraint, so I reluctantly passed. For those unfamiliar with Hideaway, it's also a major Miami Dolphins fan destination. Whether you're a Dolphins fan or not, I highly recommend experiencing one of their game-day watch parties at least once. The atmosphere is electric and one of the more unique sports-viewing experiences around. My only minor gripe was being charged an extra dollar for the small container of salsa, and it wasn't even pico de gallo. Not enough to ruin an otherwise enjoyable visit, but enough to earn a raised eyebrow. Overall, a great breakfast, a little nostalgia, and a fitting way to celebrate a positive doctor's visit.

Food is normal bar food nothing to get excited over but all and all it's a fine time.
