Dive Bar approved! This little gem was discovered after a morning at Rock Springs located in Kelly Park. They have a tube rental truck where we rented our tubes for the lazy river over at Rock Springs. We stopped in for a few beers and a quick bite after tubing. Immediately the vibe was exactly what we were looking for. Chill, relaxed and easy going. Our bartender was a lovely chatty woman, serving with a smile and great recommendations for what we should do next. We ordered food & drinks and played some tunes on their touch tunes jukebox box. We amused ourselves with the customary message on a dollar bill tapped to the roof activity. The food came out crisp and hot. Fries were excellent! Wings juicy. Chicken tenders fried perfectly. They are a beer and wine establishment. No hard liquor. An elderly gentleman man, who we assumed was the owner, came over to say hello to us and was very pleasant also with recommendations for our next adventure. I highly recommend this bar if you're into dive bars and a good time. read more

I love to come up here, but I don't come often enough! My wife and I were craving a cheeseburger, and while there are many places around that make a decent burger, I have always found that Rock Springs Bar & Grill makes the best in the area, so we jumped in the car one chilly night and headed up here. We walked in and were instantly greeted by the staff, they were not busy, we went to the bar and had a seat. I looked around and noit much had changed since my last visit, it isstill a dive biker bar, which I absolutley love. The friendly bartender, Ben, came over, gave us menus and took our drink order, I ordered a beer which he grabbed and put a cold one down in front of me instantly. My wife and I both ordered Bacon Cheeseburgers with fries and Jalapeno Poppers to start. The poppers came pretty quickly, they were the typical premade frozen type, but they were hot and good. I'll give them a pas next time. The burgers arrived and they were excellent- just what me and the wife were craving. am not usually a fan of crinkle-cut fries, but I make an exception here- the are crispy and tasty. The burgers were tasty and delicious, just like I remembered. We both scarfed our burgers down fairly quickly. It was Karaoke night, but there weren't any takers, so the DJ sang most of the songs, and I must admit, he was pretty entertaining. But the surprise of the night was when the chef came out and sang a song- he can not only cook a mean burger, he can sing! If you are hankering for a good burger in a Dive Bar, I can highly recommend this place! I will be coming back more- next time I want the Cheesesteak! read more

Crazy cool place! A friend and I stopped in for a poker run & charity ride while in the area and had a great time while we were here. The owner popped outside to welcome us and helped our group find parking near the entrance of the restaurant; awesome guy! We didn't have time for a meal but prices are reasonable if you're hungry. I did order a cold Yuengling which was about $5.50. There is a small open kitchen right in front of you as you enter, which was unique. The gal working there was super sweet and chatted with me about the menu and some other offerings. The indoor bar area is a bit small if you're here with a big group; however, there is a huge covered deck out back and an even larger turf area where you can hang out and play games like Cornhole. They also have a large outdoor stage for live music. There is one pool table available and one or two TVs available to watch the big game. If you plan on hanging out at the springs they also rent tube's, nice! It was a bummer we had to cut out and move on to the next venue, but that's a poker run for ya. All n all this place is pretty cool and I look forward to stopping back in soon. read more

My return was triggered by the Wednesday special: NY Strip, baked potatoes green beans and a salad. I love the atmosphere. The peeps are well worth a few study sessions. I say this in a good way. Very positive energy. The vibe should bring you back on its own. The steak was well seasoned and cooked to temp. It doesn't stand up to a Capital Grill or other big chains. But it is good. It was juicy. Great flavor. A little more gristle than I'd like but that is just being picky. Go enjoy yourself. I suspect anytime you go you will meet new friends. Then come back again. read more

Stopped in early Friday for drinks and dinner. Met another couple there. Josie is awesome. Working alone beside the cook Rip. She never missed a beat running to inside bar then outside seating area. Looking for something different to try in Apopka, so we came here to try not realizing they don't serve alcohol just wine & beer. We were hungry, so we stayed to try their food. We ordered the cheesestake that supposed to come with onions and peppers, but didn't see any and lack of cheese in my opinion. The patty is so thin for the cheeseburger. The breaded mushrooms were overcooked and too much breading. The only thing we enjoyed are the onion rings and crickled french fries. Service is good. The inside is very small mainly just a bar and a pool table. The ambiance outside is nice especially during a cool night except there was a racoon that wasn't scared with people looking for food. Don't think will be back, but they do have followers. You can tell people inside are regulars and having a good time. Bewar of heavy smoke inside if you're allergic to smoke. read more

I took my daughter there for their Wednesday $20 steak special. The food was ok and it was a NY strip w/ baked tater & green beans. Good service and it would have been a good experience if the utensils would have been metal and the place didn't reek of cigarette smoke. I broke my fork trying to stab a piece of meat to eat. Found this online and seemed to have good reviews so we thought we would give it a shot. The restaurant is the last stop before Kelly Park/ Rocks Springs. It is a bar & grill but they also rent tubes for use in the park. It is a dive bar. The place has no restrooms except for the portable potty outside. We walked in the place and it was so thick with cigarette smoke we opted to eat outside on the picnic tables. The place does have pool tables. Indoor seating was mainly around the bar anyways. The waitress came outside and took our order. It's pretty much usual bar fare: burgers, subs, chicken etc. We ordered the chili burger and pizza burger. They were pretty good. My burger seemed a bit undercooked. I don't remember her asking how we wanted it cooked so I am guessing medium but it still seemed a bit pink to me. For us it is a one and done. read more

This is a classic dive bar, but with great food! On Wednesday, they have a $19 steak special with HUGE steaks and sides that were great. I've also had the grilled ham and cheese and the ham and cheese sub, both of which were great for lunch. The servers are nice. (Sue is theee best!) the service us quick. They have a huge back patio area to sit, which I love because I'm not a fan of smoke. I went here on New Year's Eve and they had s'mores and a bonfire. From the outside (and the inside), this establishment met all of our expectations. The service was fast and friendly and the food was really good and in abundance. When I read "Bar and Grill", I got exactly what was advertised. A bar and a grill. The locals were friendly and very kind. The only thing I wished I had known before coming in was that this is a smoking bar. We would have passed it up had we known that but very glad we did not. The air was clear but still had the odor. So Andy and I went to kings landing to go on an 8 mile kayak run. That is some serious exercise and if you know me, that kind of endurance is reserved for the bedroom. Needless to say by the end I was so ravenously hungry I would have eaten at any one star place. But some locals said to try rock springs bar and grill and that they had excellent sandwiches. Well they do. My (and this is the real name) big ass fish sandwich was awesome! It was a huge at least 14" long fillet of Pollock on a big hamburger bun with sesame seeds. I was so Hungry I just wolfed it down and then regretted not taking a pic of it for y'all to enjoy. the bar is a dive. and the place is dirty. But they did have a big flat screen tv showing the Nascar race and everyone was shouting at the tv. it was great. If you are hungry and wet from flipping over your canoe or kayak then I highly recommend this place to stop and eat. read more

I love "dives" and I rolled in here on a Sunday, and I wasn't the least bit disappointed. Imagine a bar that seats 25 at most, a juke box & pool table and this is your place. We seated ourselves and were immediately greeted and asked for our drink order. The menu is standard all American bar food, fried cheese, fried jalapenos to start with and then followed up with some damn good burgers. The beer offerings are standard American, Budweiser, Miller & Coors. Rent a tube for the day and enjoy the neighboring river. I'll be back. read more
