The times are convenient, the staff is knowledgeable, pricing seems right. My only knock on this is you can't register online, only via the phone. - SUPREME LEAGUES. My children have participated in basketball and football leagues through the Coralville Rec and I can say from experience of signing up one season with another rec center in the area-- they do it best. Communication is on point. -FREE PARKING. The Iowa City Rec Center is a nightmare to park at most times. And honestly, the NL Rec Center (while it is free) is chaos as well. -SPARKS CAMP. This is hands down the best camp offered in the area. The price is right. It is offered ALL summer. They do field trips, pool visits, library days and tons of fun activities. The staff is always great, too. Be sure to sign up right away! It fills up fast around March. I think my biggest knock is just that the facility itself is pretty dated. When you have some many adversary white families that don't get monitored when " their children bully and antagonistic to the minority / ethnic children" it only a time when a parent will chastise that child when it's the Rec Mgr. / and attending Lifeguards on duty responsibilities to keep water safety . They doing a great job but they turn away their face to the obvious tension and don't follow through to either monitor that said " children are with a guardian!" And prevent the bullying of children in the pool. We are a sensitive community with diverse communities and we cherish our neighbors and desire our children to continue to play together in harmony.

For $250 your child and 24 of their friends can swim for 90 minutes. Its mostly available on Saturdays in the late afternoon (4pm) or evening (6pm). You swim for 90 minutes then go to a dry area that you're able to decorate to enjoy some good eats, presents and fun. You can make reservations over the phone months in advance. My son raved about the party! Just be warned parking/drop-off can be a bit tricky.

There are lanes for swimming and a wonderful deep area for independent water aerobics. Perhaps the best part of this pool are the members of the community who use it. After the first couple of months of research we about gave up, seems like a lot of dealers either don't know their product or they just don't want to work for the sale. After taking a rest from all of the searching we were told of Pool and Spa Concepts. My wife and I Checked out their website and were impressed with the products they sold. They were dealers of Artesian and Sundance spas. My wife being the skeptical one decided to check out the two companies on the web and found them to be top notch spa manufactures. We decided to stop by their showroom on a Saturday to see what they could offer us. First off the showroom was well stocked with lots of spas to choose from (on other dealer visits we were lucky to see 3-4 spas, not much of a selection). Even though they were very busy with other customers they took the time to greet us and give us a brief overview of the company and let us browse until they were finished with others. After a short wait the manager introduced himself and proceeded to get to know us and what we were in need for our "Backyard Getaway" as he described it. After telling him of my wife's neck pain and my lower back issues he seemed to zero in on a few spa models that would help us with our aches & pains. We also discussed that we have a 14 year old daughter and a 16 year old son that had lots of friends and would like it if the spa was large enough to accommodate them on occasion. That narrowed it down to two models that looked like they would work out just fine. He described all the features of each spa and did it in a matter that made my wife feel as though she was a spa expert. My wife and I were very impressed not only by the spa brands but by the knowledge of our salesperson; he even offered to let us demo the spas in the showroom with our entire family. We took advantage of his offer and brought the family back after hours a couple days later and tried out both spas. After trying them out I could see us using this every night, it was soooo relaxing. The jets seemed to relieve all our aches & pains and the kids loved the idea of having friends over to use it. After comparing the two spas we decided to go with the Sundance Optima, it had all the features that we were looking for and price fit nicely into our budget. Our sales person made everything so easy to pick our spa, from the presentation, the demo and even the paperwork and delivery, everything went smoothly. It's now been a month since we had our spa installed and the whole process has been wonderful. We use our Sundance as much as possible. The kids have even had a couple small fun nights with their friends over using the spa. I think one of the best things about Pool & Spa Concepts is the after the sale customer service. My wife called to ask a water maintenance question and was given a solution on the spot. Whatever the question they have the answer. They offer chemicals, accessories, water testing and service after the sale.
