This little piece of heaven in the ever busy world is the place you come after a hard day at work/school to just enjoy the beauty of mother nature and let all your worries fly away for awhile. Through the beauty of South lake you have a majestic lake view full of birds, fish and even random turtles. This is great place to walk your dog or go for a run too. If you're up for some Tennis there are courts at the adjacent tennis club but yes you need a resident key fob to get in. If you're bringing the kids there is a small play ground next to the tennis court too. If you're looking for a long run/walk/bike you can keep going until you get to north lake to make a complete lap. Hurry and come enjoy this little slice of heaven already!

Hands down one of the cleanest, most convenient parks in the Irvine area!…read more There are several baseball fields, tons of gated tennis courts, playgrounds for the kids, countless picnic areas that are numbered for parties and gatherings. I think what makes this park stand out is the crowd. Any park can be beautiful but, without the proper maintenance from the park crew (and most importantly the park goers) it doesn't stand a chance. You see tons of regulars here with their dogs, families, kids. Everyone is friendly and respectful of one another. The dog crowd at this park is also one of the best I've seen. Although the park is not off leash, there's wide open areas for you to allow your fur family to play catch, run around, and have a bit of freedom! They do have a couple of posts that have doggie bags however, they run out quick so please do come prepared with your own poop bags just in case! There are plenty of water fountains throughout with water filling stations attached, so don't forget a bowl for your fur family!!

The park is located on Harvard Ave just next to the Irvine Civic Center. There are plenty of…read moreparking spaces around the park area. We visited there on a Saturday around noon. There were quite a few cars in the lot already. However, we didn't see a lot of people milling around as the park covers quite an extensive area. The park features a flower garden with a fountain near its center. Beyond that are several picnic shelters amidst an elaborate children's playground. Further on, there is a large expanse of grass area amidst soccer fields, base ball diamond and tennis courts. There are paved walk paths through out the complex that winds up and down the various terrains. Overall it's a nice place to enjoy a leisure walk!

Orange County parks seem like the perfect date spot. A place for athleticism and wildlife, with…read morewater fountains, bathrooms, and marked trails; near gas and food for recovery; within Orange County city areas. I see the beauty of nature and city, serene and lovely, for $5 to park and zero dollars to walk, breathe, and admire the natural and person-made park. According to the squirrel I met here, the food here is amazing, but nothing for us human beings. The parking lot was so clean and spacious on this lovely Sunday. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable; they even had a trash can outside. They have enough ventilation, so even if someone farts hard, it may not be so bad. I saw some lovely dogs, families, people jogging and walking, and some cool airplanes and boats controlled remotely by people chilling and enjoying Sunday morning. For me, this is also a great place to burn off complex carbohydrates from breakfast.

However if you go on a holiday, be prepared for long lines to enter and then no parking available. They have overflow parking in the grass which is not my favorite at all. I would probably have left if I hadn't paid for parking. Our party was clear on the other side so they will also stop traffic from entering to that side. Pain in the butt. What can you do. So great park but enter at your own risk! I'm not usually a fan of paid parking parks either. But when there's a group you are going with, what can you do. SYOY!
