Excellent facility, friendly staff, clean and safe. But be prepared for Super Long lines if you come on any week night! The paddle rack might need to be twice as long. Very hard to get a primetime court reservation online even as an Irvine resident. Half the courts are usually blocked for programs if you look at the weekly calendar - effectively it's only 4 courts available for open play most nights. Good challenge court play is at late mornings and on weekends.

Mike Ward Community Park spans 22 acres and is located in the Woodbridge area of Irvine. There is ample parking in the private parking lot. The adjacent senior center has a game room, meeting room and multipurpose rooms, and a rose garden. The park has volleyball courts, basketball courts, racquetball court, picnic tables, and an amphitheater. There are large grassy areas and a walking bridge that leads over to the Woodbridge South Lake. Overall it's a very nice park.

Mike Ward Park is a large community park in Woodbridge, adjacent to the senior center, and a parking lot shared by the two facilities. Its racquetball courts are so popular that there is usually people waiting to play. Its large grass field is a good venue for soccer games or concerts. This park has a seasonal creek that runs through it. Personally I have never seen water in it but there is always hope. I enjoy walking around this park although its trail is not a loop so one has to turn back at the trail end. It has many benches along the way so one can sit down wherever and rest a moment before continue. This park is convenient located next to a shopping mall and between the north and south lakes. Many times we will get some picnic food and have a good time.

Nice clean park. No playground though which I do find odd. Just wide open field for you to run around. Summer concerts are always a plus. Close to Woodbridge shopping center so you can grab desserts or snacks. Always feel safe! SYOY!

Well maintained park. Great for a long walk with your kids or dogs. There's mainly a vast expanse of grass in this park where older kids and adults train or play games. Contrary to the reviews on Yelp, the lake and gazebo is not a part of this park and is a 20 minute walk from the parking lot. Also, there is no playground for kids in this park.

Racquet Ball Courts!!! And a drink!

This park was overall pretty chill they have racquet ball courts, basketball courts, a huge field area and thats pretty much it If they have a playground i couldn't find it but then again it was dark and i was kinda distracted by wanting to go chill by the lake. The reason i'm giving them the rating i am is because they have the amenities i listed above and they were lighted at night which is totally cool especially on a warm summer night! Overall this was a fun little walk through the park across the bridge and over to the lake to kick it on the gazebo. I'm sure we will be back here at one point to take a stroll as its really close to the $2 theater and its always good to take a walk before your going to be sitting for a few hours.

Yeah, so I know this place is fake. That it's probably a deep dark ploy by the Irvine Company to lure me and keep me coming back for more with it's lush landscape, beautiful still pristine water, a majestic bridge, an amazing view, a lagoon for kids to play in, and an overall great place to walk around on a beautiful day like this Sunday but damn if their ploy isn't working. Yes, I'm a sucker and woohoo! It's as good as it gets! I don't like artificial anything but I've been running by this lake since 2007 and catching breakfast afterward at the Ruby's aqua diner. By now, I've fallen in love and I've fallen hard. It's great to sit here and watch the geese/ducks and the various community activities. On my runs, I've dreamed of owning one of the lakeside houses or living in the apartments across the water. It's always been a great place to just de-stress and escape it all. You've got me for life and I'll be back.

The water is across the street which sucks but honestly I enjoyed the park. Everyone was social distancing and respecting the 6ft rule. not many people had masks on though but because of the amount of distance between big groups, it didn't matter much

Amazing pickleball courts!! Closes at 10, but I go twice a week, and although it's busy it's a good time. Restrooms are clean and well kept

It was five adults total--my mom wasn't able to play since she's disabled, but the staff was really accommodating, and we just left the door open so she could sit and watch us play, which worked out perfectly. The games were really fun, and the customer service was great--super friendly and helpful! We had previously tried Activate (which is similar), and I'd say we actually prefer the grid-style game at Activate since it feels more competitive. With RGB Run, the game started to feel a little repetitive after about 30 minutes, so I think it's more geared toward a shorter, one-session experience rather than a full hour. The main reason we chose RGB Run was because they offer private rooms, which is a huge plus. I didn't realize, though, that you're limited to just one style of game when booking, so I was a little disappointed they didn't have the specific game I had hoped for. That said, we still had a really fun time and I'd definitely recommend it for groups who want a private experience. Overall, a really enjoyable spot for something different to do with family or friends. I'd give it 4 stars--mainly because of the limited game options--but everything else (especially the service) was great!

It was an interactive game and I recommend this for all ages. The goal is to clear the blue tiles on the board while avoiding the red tiles. It is safe to stand on the green tiles. Basically, the floor is lava game for 15 minutes. They have two rooms available for the game. There was no wait for a room on weekday, so I would call ahead if you're stopping by on the weekend. I'm not sure how long its been open, but some of the tiles lost its sensitivity. There are different levels to choose from like novice, standard, and difficult. We did standard and it was a workout for me. It is priced per person, the more people then the cheaper. Rooms are equipped with a screen, camera, and phone holder to record your experience. They have a back room to hold a celebration too. And a locker to place your belongings.

When you walk in, it's a little confusing at first since it's not super clear where to go and the place is pretty spacious. We initially went to the cashier, and they directed us to the computers on the side to sign the waivers first, then come back to pay. After we paid, they told us the wait would be about 30 minutes, but surprisingly they called our names within just 2 to 3 minutes while we were still walking around. That was a nice bonus. :) They provided headsocks for free, and we didn't have to pay extra or sign up for any annual membership. Each race is supposed to be 12 laps, but if someone finishes early, you might end up doing less. One of the boys completed 11 laps, but didn't affect the experience at all. As we were exiting, we saw a podium area so kids hopped on for a quick photo. I've been here before for birthday parties and even with coworkers, and every time has been consistently fun. The staff was friendly and everything ran smoothly. Not really sure why this place gets some negative reviews. I haven't experienced anything negative. Would definitely come back.

There are several cute shops on both sides of the main street, and there's really something for everyone. The island is known for two things: chocolate-covered frozen bananas and Balboa bars. I apparently missed the memo on the Balboa bars, but we got to visit both Dad's Donuts and Sugar 'n Spice for some frozen chocolate bananas, and they were lovely! I recommend coming in the morning to beat the rush. We brought lunch and went to the beach for a picnic on the park benches. It was a lovely day with family! Other than a minimart, a fishing gear shop and a grocery store, there weren't any shops on the oceanfront walkway and no signage as to where you can find any stores.
