First experience was nice service wise. You pay for the entire service before even going which wasn't that big of a deal because I know people just don't show up. They have multiple people servicing you for one service. Pedicure then the massage included in your pedicure price is done by a different person so you are expected to tip them both. If you have gel polish or add an additional service they expect that amount to be paid in cash although they have your card on file. I'm big on tipping so tipping multiple people was no big deal but not everyone has Venmo or carries cash. A place that forces the tip is a no for me. Won't be back read more

Firstly, the appointment appointment online did not work. We booked 2 pedicures and when we went to the salon, they only had one reservation. Secondly, they did not tell is that we had only one reservation until we asked them after being asked to wait for 15 minutes. Thirdly, the service ended when my friend paid and tipped the technician. As other reviews I have read about Blue Lotus, I also wish I could give no stars. I have been to this place three times. The first time was ok, but I have gotten better pedicures for half the price. I only went back because someone gave me a gift card. The second time I went I was with my daughter and we both got pedicures. I am a licensed cosmetologist and know how long a pedicure is supposed to take and what is is supposed to be done. They did not soak our feet nor were our cuticles pushed back and only a couple of fake clips with the nippers. We head over to that drying station after the 15 minute procedure, which should take at least 30mins. (if done properly), where I received a descent massage the first time I came in. Someone came up as asked if I wanted it. This time, my daughter and I sat there, and no one approached, so we turned the sighs around that showed that we would like massages, still no one, even though several techs were standing around doing nothing but lookin at us. I asked the receptionist on the way out and she said "you have to push the button". Funny I didn't push any button the first time. To boot my daughter's polish started chipping off the next day! The last time I went, ( just to use up the gift card, otherwise I would have never gone back), Jack did my pedicure. It was the worst pedicure I have ever had!! I have been getting and giving pedicures for over 30 years. It was over in about 20 mins. and it was a French so it was $10 more. He refused to cut my nails any shorter even though I asked twice, then kept pushing my legs in different directions for no reason. The polish was so bad I that I had no choice but to show the receptionist, who agreed it was awful and she had Mary fix it. Mary was very nice and did a good job. WOW do I wish I had known about this place before! I had been going to another local salon for the past 5 years and after changes in ownership and damage to my nails at a recent visit, I just did my nails at home for a while. After a few rough personal matters, hubby urged me to go get pampered because I always feel amazing when my nails are done :) I did some research and found out about Blue Lotus and figured it was worth a shot. I called in to make an appointment and went in on a Sunday. Customer service - from over the phone to the moment I walked in and was seated for my pedicure was amazing. The space is bright and airy, very welcoming staff, and seems to stay on top of cleanliness standards which is critical. Pro Tip: Sundays are Mimosa days! Not only did the nail technician take gentle care of my nails, but followed my design wishes as closely as possible - even pausing to make sure I was happy with it before she went on. It spoke volumes to me that she even wiped off a nail at some point because SHE wasn't satisfied with it. Most of the time, my experience is that they are rushing through the process to get to the next client but I truly felt listened to and cared for. I've now only been 3 times, but totally consider this my go-to salon! They're current on the latest trends (I've gotten both chrome and cat eye/velvet gel polish done) and very attentive to detail. My 2nd visit, the tech filed my nails to the most perfect square shape I've ever had - paired with the chrome over lilac polish, I couldn't stop staring at my nails! The only reason this isn't getting a 5 is because of my last experience there. It was on a Friday evening, so perhaps it had been a long day but the tech was not as kind and helpful as the previous two I had. I had asked for a layer of gel polish underneath the cat eye coat, which she discouraged me against... I regret not pushing back. Although the cat eye effect looks beautiful, I wish it was against a base color as I originally imagined it. I can notice all of the uncovered areas which is really annoying - and more noticeable without a base color. I'm very picky about polish covering the entire nail and after paying extra for cat eye, I was disappointed to notice that the coverage was uneven. I have been a customer for over 20 years and I have made my last visit here, sadly. I was happy for most of that time. On my last three trips with my daughter for manicures she was nicked by the tech on her nailbed. On my last two eyebrow waxes, I was burned by the wax leaving marks for the next few days. I tried the wax the second time figuring the technician was just too rough, or the wax too hot, because I did this service for years with no problem. Do you know that feeling when you get your pedis and your feet feel so good and smooth? Well, this is NOT the place for that. We did a girls day and went for pedicures and were rushed into our seats and were immediately worked on. The callus remover they used was a stick-on and was very soft and thin. It didn't get any of the dead skin off our feet. Next, they didn't get the dirt out from under our nails, nor did they remove much of the cuticles. When the child was done, they asked if she was getting a manicure too and we said that would be great. She went to ask the girls at front desk and was told no, that they didn't have time. No one in any of the mani seats and the same technicians were just standing around. There were 3 of us and were there a total of 45 mins, including drying time. When we sat for the drying, one of the technicians asked if we wanted to pay at that time. The only good thing about it was the place was nice inside. Blue lotus is my favorite spot for pedicures although I've gotten a few great manicures here as well! I always call and make an appointment ahead of time since they can get pretty busy on the weekends and I'm always taken care of right away. I've personally never had a poor experience here and always leave feeling absolutely refreshed and relaxed. Amazing visit today Went with a friend and we both got spa pedicures. We We're greeted at the door with very polite staff and the environment was very clean in all areas that we were in. The pedicure tools were sanitized and in separate plastic (sealed). Massage chairs accompanied the pedicure along with a wonderful leg massage and a complimentary back massage. Be prepared to tip ALL those who service you during your treatments. For my pedicure I had three people (one that did pedicure, one that did the leg massage for ten minutes in a dimmed room with lit candles and soothing music abs lastly the one that did my chair massage). First time there and such a poor experience! Heard it was great-but not so much for me. Had the Spa Honeymoon pedicure. I get spa pedicures at my usual salon so I was expecting at least the same level of service. It was sub-par at best. All of the previous polish was not removed, nails were not being filed correctly. I do have to say the massage portion was great. I got home and saw that the polish was lumpy and bumpy. To their credit when I called they said I could come back the next morning and they would fix it since it probably happened from the wax they used afterwards. I did so and the same tech redid it and it was lumpy and bumpy again. I've never had this issue at any other salon. I let them know the 2nd time and the response was basically sorry-we'll make sure you get another tech next time. Now, I'll have to go back to my regular salon and have it done correctly. Very disappointed with the quality of the gel manicure I received. I asked my technician if she could fix the top coat because it was bumpy and it seemed like it needed more time under the light. She then attempted to redo the top coat but it honestly looked even worse. I showed it to the manager and she said that they couldn't give me a refund but that they could re-do it at a later date since the salon was closing. I left Blue Lotus feeling incredibly frustrated at having wasted over an hour and knowing that I was going to have to repeat this entire process in order to (hopefully) get a decent manicure. Stay away from this place! It's actually a joke that they try to make this salon seem like they are some kind of luxurious spa. All of their services are subpar and overpriced. The techs they have working there are not talented or qualified enough to reflect the prices they charge. A spa pedicure was done in barely 10 minutes and was not relaxing. A gel manicure, wasn't even a manicure. All the tech did was lightly file the top of the nails and then painted the color on. They completely rush through their services. My sister got an acrylic set done and they looked absolutely horrendous. We told them but they didn't care. There was no apology; just plain rudeness. They said if we wanted them redone we would have to pay for it. After 2 hours sitting there, do you think someone wants to sit there for another 2 hours getting them redone and have to pay again for it? One of her nails even broke off the next day. We called them about it. They told us if she wanted it fixed, she has to make an appt to come back and also pay for it. Once again, they didn't care; no credit back, no apology, no nothing. That's a complete a rip off considering the fact that most salons never charge to fix 1 nail. It also took them almost 2 hours to do the acrylic set; the tech kept having to ask another tech what to do. I mean it's just ridiculous because customers have to make an appt to get any kind of service done there. So if their techs don't know how to properly do a certain service, why would they put those techs on that service?? If you want to call yourself a luxury spa, you should have employees who actually know what they're doing. I've been to places that do twice as much work for a manicure or a pedicure, and it comes out 10x better for half the prices that Blue Lotus charges. Do not waste your money here! Also side note - it's extremely weird that they have people getting full body massages in the middle of the salon instead of a room or a separate part of the salon. I usually don't write good or bad reviews, but this place has pushed me over the edge today. Let's start with the prenatal I received prior to giving birth. The masseuse had me flat on my back for so long that I started to sweat and get tunnel vision. I had to turn over and told him of my issue and said I didn't feel good. He tried telling me to roll to my back once again, which solidified my thoughts that they were not trained appropriately in prenatal massages. If they were, they would have known that it's not recommended to lay a pregnant woman flat of their back due to the pressure it applies on the vena cava and may hinder its ability to flow blood from the abdomen to the heart and could effect both mom and baby's oxygen levels (which is what it had done to me, hence the tunnel vision which happens prior to people passing out). I refused to lay on my back and he had to figure out different ways to massage me while I played on my sides (again NO TRAINING). So, PREGNANT WOMEN BEWARE. Also, I witnessed a new mom who brought her infant in, paid for a pedicure and was in the "dark" lounge room with a bunch of us. Her baby started to get fussy and myself and other patrons closets to her said it was ok, not to worry. Then, even though no one was complaining, one of the managers rushed in and kicked her out! Being a new mom now, I felt for her because I now know how difficult it is just to get out of the house with an infant let alone try to get some pampering in. POOR customer service. The latest was today where my mother had prebooked 3 massages for her, my sister, and myself. Apparently, my daughter got both my mother and me sick and we caught something (feels like a bad sinus infection). So, my mother called them and informed them that we were sick and asked to rebook. They refused and said that neither her payment nor any part of it would be refunded and could she not use it towards a rescheduled session. In a time of COVID and our heightened awareness and cautiousness of getting others sick, this astounds me. They didn't care about their workers or other patrons getting sick(my mom asked and the woman avoided the question), they solely cared about the money. I felt the urge to go just to spread germs (which they would have allowed), but no decent human would do that!! So, PATRONS beware... This absolutely disgusted me. Horrible customer service. This place is criminally underrated, trust me, I've been to dozens of spots. First of all they have all these little nooks and crannies where the stations are set up so you have somewhat of a private experience for your service. Rather than being in a big room overhearing loud conversations, there are satellite stations set up. I love their spa pedicure, they take the time to really shape your nails and buff your feet. There are a ton of colors to select from and they don't rush you at all. At the end there is a massage room with reclining chairs. It's the most relaxing, spa-like service. read more

Amazing service every time - the spa is typically busy but you never have a long wait. Manicure stations are spread out and separate from the pedicure spas. When getting a pedicure there is only 3 spas to one area - not one after another. The leg massage is in a separate darkened area which is totally relaxing and recommended. Although more expensive than other salons in the surrounding towns, it's definitely worth it. **Also follow cosmetology board regulations by not using the cheese grater/ razor on the callous, one time use file and buffer and cleaned tools. read more

Beware of predatory behavior at Blue Lotus! Last Monday, I booked a spa pedicure for 5pm. Fifteen minutes after booking, I had a work meeting pop up from so I immediately called Blue Lotus to cancel my spa pedicure. Keep in mind when I called to cancel, it was still several hours before my appointment time. The receptionist at Blue Lotus told me because it was less than 24 hours before my appointment I would be charged $100 for my spa pedicure. I explained I had only booked the appointment fifteen minutes prior, but the receptionist was adamant there was absolutely nothing that Blue Lotus could do. They refused to reschedule me for a different time or provide a gift card for the amount charged on my card. I asked several times to speak with a manager (Melissa) and was told she was too busy. For three hours before my originally scheduled appointment, I had three phone calls with different receptionists at Blue Lotus, all of whom were extremely rude and just re-read their cancellation policy (which is inconsistent with the confirmation email that is sent from Blue Lotus's email account in advance of appointments). I couldn't believe at this point that as a long time customer of Blue Lotus, the manager, Melissa, wouldn't call me back or offer anything to remedy the situation. By Monday evening, I finally received a response via email that the best they could do was provide me with a $50 credit, despite the fact that they had charged my credit card $100 immediately and I cancelled my appointment fifteen minutes after booking. The following morning, I went into Blue Lotus in the hopes I could speak to someone reasonable who would help find a solution. When I met with the receptionist Gaby, her first comment was "oh I heard you might be in". Originally, she told me I could receive the $50 credit as a gift card. She then went outside to call Melissa who made her tell me the $50 credit could not be provided via gift card. Even at this point in time, Melissa was still unwilling to speak with me and instead put Gaby in an uncomfortable situation by simply telling her to repeat that I was out of luck and could either forfeit $100 or take the $50 credit. Gaby then told me I could dispute the charge, but then Melissa said if I did, I would not be welcome back at Blue Lotus. Given I was threatened by Melissa, I booked a spa pedicure the next day and used my $50 credit (though I had still lost $50). When I walked in and went to look for a nail color, receptionists Chanel and Gabriela immediately started whispering about me, loud enough for me to hear. As always, the service I received from the technicians was wonderful. I am so disappointed in this experience, especially because I have been a loyal customer of Blue Lotus. I couldn't believe the level of rudeness I was met with when all I had asked was to either be reimbursed or have my appointment rescheduled in advance of the appointment time. Had a mother-daughter nail appointment at Blue Lotus Nail Spa just before the holidays. The spa moved locations, but the inside seemed as nice as their previous spot. We were seated immediately and our ladies began prepping our nails. Being a few days before the holidays, it was packed and everyone was working with their customer. Managers were constantly walking around helping or watching the nail stylists. Sadly I was a bit disappointed with my gel manicure. My nail stylist had to redo one nail three times as the UV machine wasn't working properly and the polish kept wrinkling. I didn't mind this too much, but it added time to the appointment. Prior to sitting, I asked my stylist if she could paint a snowflake on one of my nails and she agreed it could be done. However, once painted, the snowflake became this amorphous blob because the polish was still wet. It also took less than 24 hours for the gel polish to chip. On the brighter side, my mom's manicure looked beautiful and she had no issues. I read a lot of reviews about people being offered wine, which we were not. Maybe it was because of the crazy holidays or they ran out? But this wasn't offered to us. We were also not offered a "complimentary" shoulder massage as other reviews mentioned. Personally I'm okay with this. At their last location we accepted the "complimentary" shoulder massage and were then promptly passed a tips envelope... Personally, I wouldn't come back as I prefer to paint my own nails, but I had a gift card and wanted to do something special before the holidays.
