Half empty dining room, yet food took 1 hour and 2 minutes to deliver. Worst service ever. A 3 ounce steak portion on their formerly-awesome Steak Salad didn't cut it. (Still hungry after I left. Went out for a hamburger.) Waitress was excellent, but overwhelmed. Kept apologizing to everyone and bringing free drinks to her tables. Dining room personel lacked supervision. Took turns, actuallt sitting at the bar (masquerading as customers) while dining customers were finally serving themselves to get beverage service at their tables. No training. No organization. No excuse. The 3 customers at the table on my right didn't even get offered menus until 15 minutes after they were seated. And the dining room was 2/3 empty and quiet as a church. Not going back until owner #4 is installed. read more

The only reason I'm giving it one star is for the live music other than that I would never go there. Bar service is substandard drinks are pricey bathroom was dirty. The female bartenders really didn't pay attention much nor did they care about not having what I chose to drink or try to make me something different. read more

This place doesn't know what it wants to be. It's a little rough around the edges; noisy. Lots of regulars hanging on the bar for life. On a crowded night everything is slow. Looks like Patrick Swayze should be head bouncer. TVs everywhere. Food is good. The burgers & Reubens are among the very best. Not a bad place to meet casually for a drink and a bite to eat. It's a bar so it can a bit loud. Drinks are good. Steak and cheese with a side of au jus was good. Onion rings were tasty as was the coleslaw and sliders. Sampler platter was good apart from the potato skins being overdone. Stay away from this place! My buddy and I went for dinner tonight based on reviews and it was terrible. Hostess was indifferent when we walked in, very few people there except for 3 or 4 locals who commanded all of the staff's attention. Foul-mouthed patrons were obnoxious and had no regard for others in there. Manager/owner or whoever the guy was in charge was either afraid or clueless to the fact few patrons were there, likely because of the foul-mouthed regulars at the bar. Waitress was awful, never checked in on how our food or drink was, threw down our bill and got back to the regulars at the bar. I'll never go back. Owner will soon realize if he continues to allow this group of regulars conduct themselves as they did tonight, he'll be out of business and this foul-mouthed group will move on to some other bar. read more

One of the nicest bars I've been to around east Naples. Just moved here from Rhode Island a few months ago and I must say this is probably one of my favorite. Who doesn't like a bar decorated with a bunch of monkeys?! They have all kinds hanging from the ceiling, and with a handful of TV's all around the restaurant they're bound to have a game on that anyone can enjoy! Woody, the bartender, was the best and nicest bartender i've encountered in Naples! I will definitely be returning here for some after-work drinks, also a new weekend hangout! read more

Love this place. I've never had a bad meal here. I lived off their lunches through 2 pregnancies. The honey crisp sandwich is a must. They'll even do it as a wrap just ask. The trio fries(sweet potatoe, regular, and battered zucchini) are a great option. The dipping sauce makes the sweet potatoe and zucchini great. The wings are decent size not small and dingy. I'm not much of drinker so can't reference the bar. read more

One of the best meals I have had out in a while! All the servers were quite lovely and one of their managers was very helpful. He made sure we were welcome and made sure our meals were perfect to our liking. I would recommend to any visitors in the area and anyone who would like an amazing meal. A fantastic find! Located in North East Naples off 951 and Vanderbilt Beach Rd. near the Sweet Bay, the Blue Monkey has the best food around! We had a french dip sandwich on garlic bread which melted in your mouth, a deli sandwich of turkey and swiss on Rye bread which had enough meat on it for three sandwiches!, and a crab rangoon roll which was hands down the best thing I have eaten in some time. The prices were low, the service was outstanding, and the Karaoke was loads of fun! They have a full calendar of evening events from Karaoke and Open Mic night to hosting some great musical talent. read more

I'm big on the Naples social scene...old people and all. I love hanging out on 5th Street and hitting up places like Campiello and Trulucks, but venture off the beaten path to the Blue Monkey and you won't regret stopping by. Let me just tell you I really like this place. It reminds me of that Toby Keith song "I love this bar," such a fun local place with a great mix of people. Service is friendly and attentive-they always remember a familiar face and treat you like family. I'm pretty sure they have a legit chef on staff because the food is seriously impressive....not like any bar food I've ever had before, super original but with all the classics, as well. My fave menu items are the sushi (no, I'm not kidding, this one will definitely surprise you), the buffalo chicken wrap, the burger, and the filet (again, totally not kidding). They have delicious seasoned fries, awesome nightly specials, and yummy salads, too. Karoake night is fun, but really any night is happening at the Monkey. You can almost always find the owners hanging out, say hello - they're likely to buy you a round on the house if you go introduce yourself. read more

My wife and I simply love having lunch here. Their bacon chicken ranch wrap is in our opinion the best wrap that we have ever had. Staff is friendly, a lot of golfers go in on the weekend for a drink and some lunch and might get just a little loud but it doesn't bother us. Have not frequented the place of evenings when they have bands, karaoke and other events going on. Outside seating is good during the cooler months. read more

Recently had dinner here myself. I took a chance because I was looking for a good hamburger and am here alone until the middle of March. The hamburger was good, the fries were fresh but the service was beyong my expectations for such a little sporty place. I have never been looked after so attentively by the staff in this place. Even if the food had not been that good, I would have to go back. A place like this deserves to be in business. They are definately trying harder. read more

We decided to visit somewhere new and stopped in. We had the boneless wings & fry combo. Elvis ... yes, Elvis ... was singing. The food was pretty good, although the chicken was greasy and had an off taste, I believe that was from the oil it was fried in. The "sweet in front-hot in back" sauce was okay just not spicy enough for me but my brother liked it. Not enough dip & it was extra for extra (of course). We went initially for the wings after seeing reviews but they were ridiculously priced - 10 for $10.99. Got a little off feeling a few hours later and today is even worse. My brother is sick, as well. We're chalking it up to the grease the food was cooked in. May be due for a change? The service was awesome and Elvis was worth the trip alone. Maybe just drinks next time. Oh ... the place did smell like an old, dingy bar (old smoke, cheap booze) and this one old guy had a little, probably more like a lot, to drink and was so loud.
