I've bought a number of trees and other plants from Blue Moon over the years and have never been disappointed. Years ago before I had a pickup I was able to talk the lady into delivering a pretty big Saturn peach tree to my house and I am forever grateful because it's a wonderful tree and I don't think they normally deliver. read more

Nice plants. Nice people. I know absolutely nothing about plants, but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this nursery. My mom was in town and she wanted to help me spruce up some sad looking empty planters. We were greeted promptly and all our questions were answered with good suggestions. We're newer to the eastern WA Spokane area and last year discovered this wonderful establishment. The staff is very knowable and helpful at what grows and thrives here. We purchased many larger trees last year. All our stock is doing well. The prices are a bit lower for quality large trees. They also have many native wetland type species. We went back recently for 5 more large trees. They deliver also. Highly recommend. read more

Friendly & helpful staff. Great selection of mostly perennials well-suited to this area. No use of bee-killing nicotinamides. Check it out! Mostly for serious gardeners but if you are looking to add a tree or shrub to complete or start landscaping I highly recommend coming here. read more

Today was my first visit here and they proved true to their motto, "Nice plants, Nice people". Blue Moon is located just off the highway and easily accessible but not someplace I ever drive by naturally. A friend recommended them to me and after finally stopping in I can see why! They had great prices and selection. While many other places are closed at this time o the year they were offering 40% off on many perennials. I noticed many beautiful planters, concrete planters, gift items, tools, and types of compost available. I took home some grasses and succulents to add a bit more fall color in my yard. I can't wait to check them out again in the spring! read more

Last year I went to Blue Moon on a recommendation from a neighbor. Preferring to shop local independent businesses, we went shopping there for plants. An older gentleman helped us select a variety of plants and shrubs, and even a couple of trees. Very nice, pleasant and informative. I looked for him when we returned several times, and when he wasn't there someone else helped us select several lovely Hydrangeas. This year we waited until it opened, later than usual because of the quarantine. Our visit was enhanced with the help of a young man, new employee, but very nice and helpful. Our most recent return visit again was met with a helpful and very informative gentleman working the nursery. So much for the employees, the check out was a different story. I believe the lady at the pay table is the owner, maybe not, but the last contact is usually the one you remember the most. Pleasantry is not her strong suit. The feeling 'we are glad you came and spent money at our business' was nowhere. How disappointing. I know the stress of the health situation during this time is great, but as an owner a little appreciation, like 'thank you' or 'do you need some help' to customers willing to spend money at your business rather than at someone else's nearby, increases your business and livelihood. This place is absolutely true to their motto. They took so much care in the tree that I bought there. When it was delivered, I not only got an amazing and high-quality tree, I also got a consultation on where the best place might be for the new tree to live. I couldn't be happier with the people, or the service. They are also very careful during Covid. Bring your mask if you want to visit the nursery. read more

The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I am new to inland WA and got very helpful feedback as to what would well in my small sunny patio. The plants they carry are native, and they tend towards organic and pesticide free. I left happy and glowing. read more

I love to garden. I didn't know this garden center even existed before last week. I was looking for gooseberry plants on line and this place came up. So we drove 20 miles to check it out. They had a great selection of the gooseberry plants, some already had berries on them. Every other kind of berry too. I ended up buying most of the plants for my hangers and pots. Their starter annuals are 3 or 4 times larger than anything at your local box store. Very large vegetable starts. Variety excellent. Start here first for your garden needs. Pricing is great also. If they would advertise a little, they would be swarmed. read more

Excellent selection, affordable prices, knowledgeable and personable staff. My purchases there have included a wide variety of annuals, a small flowering tree, ferns, and several types of soil amendment, and I been very satisfied with it all.
