I took my puppy dog here for her first haircut and I showed them a reference photo. When picking her up she was not at all like the reference photo and I wish they had followed it. The hair was cut too short and was uneven. Her head fur was so much longer than her body and it was disproportional, she looked like a bobble head. I wish I had more transparency on whether they could've done that cut or not based on the photo so I would know beforehand. I'm not going to come back here unfortunately :( read more

Nori has been a regular customer here and never had an issue but her regular groomer was out, so I took the first available groomer. The groomer who is a woman apparently thought her head was matted, so she brushed "hard" and the groomer didn't know that she had split my poor babies scalp open.. I put my trust into the groomer but she had hurt my dog and mishandled my poor baby... I am not even a professional groomer but I even know to be gentle and aware of her skin. Great Service!!! i had found this place a while ago but never went, recently my dog needed a groom so we thought to try it out. making an appointment was really easy, i called and they got me in about a week after my call and sent a form to be filled out online. day of i brought him in and staff was super friendly and throughly listened to what style i wanted my dog. he did have a couple matts that i mentioned and they explained they'd try and style him and keep as much hair as possible. he came out great!! the initial cut was very even and the sanitary groom was nice and clean. my family members thought his hair was a bit too long on the head and we passed him back two more times to cut it shorter, and each time they were very patient and described what can be done. overall 11/10 honestly! will be going back as this is definitely the place for asian style dog grooming!! read more

I was really upset after coming here.... I called in the morning and I asked the person that picked up the phone if I needed to schedule an appointment to use the bathing area and she said no they accept walk-ins. I asked her if there was a long wait right now and she said it was about 20 minutes, so that was perfect I had some time to get there. When I arrived, there was a lady on the phone outside and after I walked up to the door, she walked straight up to me and said do you have an appointment but very straight-faced, that should have been my first warning to leave, obviously they dont care about customer service if they don't greet you at least, but I chose to continue on. She proceeded to point to one of the bathtubs and said you can use that one, I told her I've never been here before so if she could just give us a little rundown, with an annoyed look she said there's the water hose, there's the dryer. I've never been here before so I asked do they have shampoo? I could tell they were annoyed because they were busy on their phone and i was obviously asking dumb questions like do they have shampoo and towels. I grabbed the hose and the sprayer came off, so I tried to fix it by putting it back on but it kept coming off so, I had to interrupt her again and she tried to fix it, she said it's fine, so I turned on the water and then the hose broke off wet the entire floor including my shoes and everything else in the room. So then she says oh move into the next room, mind you my dog was all wet I had to get him out of the tub and move him to the next tub, now in that room a giant Masstif dog had just left and there was a dirty towel on the floor hair everywhere. I turned around and said to the 3 employees on their phones and eating excuse me I am not washing my dog in here with all this hair, it's a mess it's ridiculous. So I walked my wet 60 pound dog back to the original room and proceeded to wash him with a little stream of water coming from the hose. I was so upset, the tub started filling up with water, i ended up having to stick my hand in the drain and remove wads of hair so that the water could go down or else my dog was going to be sitting in dirty water. Mind you my dogs doesn't shed, clearly this hair was from the previous dogs, one of the employees started quickly trying to clean the other room because i am sure he saw how upset i was, but I just wanted to rinse my dog and dry him so I could leave as fast as I could. My daughter asked them for a towel and they gave her and hard crunchy stained towel. We have been to other dog baths and never have i felt so disgusted. when i went to pay the lady she had the audacity to ask me for a tip, i told her are you kidding me, i do not recommend this place nor will i ever bring my dog here again. Save your money and go elsewhere. This is review is specifically for the dog bath area, I can it comment on the grooming area as I've never used those services. read more

Where do I begin my friends? I brought my dog in for a grooming after scheduling over the phone. When I pick up my boy, the young lady at the front desk brings me a completely different dog to which I reply, " This one's not mine." Oh, then the longest, strangest conversation I have ever had with a groomer begins. She proceeded to explain to me how she was surprised at how different my dog looked after being shaved. I calmly explained that she was mistaken. This wasn't another Cavipoo who happened to be there, it was an entirely different breed of dog. My dog is a brown, young, cavipoo. The dog she was trying to give me albeit cute af, was an elderly shortlegged imposter dog. Not my dog. My dog was not born circa World War 1, he is 2 years old and bouncy. This straight out of the Neverending Story dog isn't my g*ddamn dog. This woman looked me right in the eyes, "This is your dog." My brain broke right then. -I stopped and thought, shit have I owned an elderly short-haired, stubby-legged dog this entire time. NO! I will not be gas-lit by this person into believing I have hallucinated the last 40 years of my life with another dog. I look back at her, trying to reach deep into her soul. "This is not my dog." " This is your dog," she says in that condescending voice young folk get when they are trying to communicate that you're dumb. I immediately go into recuse mode. Operation where the hell is my dog in full effect. Somewhere between a panic attack and full-bore agitation, I start looking over her shoulder into the place until I see, to absolutely no one with working eyes suprise, my dog being groomed. I call his name out. He wags his tail. I say loudly but without yelling. That's my dog! That one. See brown, brown and not 1000 years old. You and Falkor need to step away from me. I want my dog, My doggie. Not someone else's doggie. I am not here to upgrade some other dog owner's situation. I want my groomed Cavipoo. She looks at me- her expression as cold and dead to my feelings as can be possibly sculpted on another human's face. "Oh, ok." I cried. I negotiated with my maker. I sat in my car and watched until they finished my dog's grooming. I paid too much for fees like "shaving." I mean what other fee are they going to charge... an operating scissors fee? I do not recommend this place if you want a good haircut for your dog. They do a basic template cut for each dog. I've gone in a couple times now asking for a teddy bear cut like in the pictures and they basically just trim the dog. I don't think the pictures they have hung up are from them. My dog also always comes out looking really clean and nice, he loves his haircut. Found this groomer since it was in the same plaza as our family business. I am so disappointed by their service. I made the appointment for a bath and haircut. When we arrived, they said it was for a bath only. I told them that it was for a bath and haircut and had to show her where exactly my dog needed her haircut. They told me that my dog would be done in 3-4 hours. I called them about 2 hours after I dropped off my dog to check if they include teeth brushing and if not I wanted to add it on. About an hour later, they called me and told me my dog was ready for pick up. Went to pick up my dog, noticed her neck area was not fully dry. But since I needed to pick up my daughter from school, I let that slide. While waiting to pick up my daughter from school, I examined my dog and noticed that her teeth were not brushed. There were mats under her ear. So I gave them a call and asked if her teeth were brushed and they said yes. I asked then why is there still stuff on my dog's teeth. They said I could bring my dog back in and they'll brush it again. Brought my dog back and also told them about the mats under her ear. They told me that they would CUT it off instead of brushing it out. They brought my dog back out and ensured me they got everything taken care of. Thanked them and left. Once I got home, I noticed that my dog was shedding a lot. This should not happen since she was just groomed. So, I sat down and started brushing her myself. I've been struggling to find a groomer for my Toy Poodle, Astro in the Bay Area but I think I have found the place! It's a little out of the way since I'm in Cupertino, but I will happily make the trip to Fremont to get Astro groomed here. This is the only place that I could find that does the Asian style grooming. This was the best haircut Astro has had and the price was very reasonable given Bay Area prices. I have been looking at the pictures from other customers and find out this place tend to cut the eyebrows hair downward on both side and make the dog like crying, witch is not good. The ear hair is short on top and long on the bottom which make my dog like a mid age bald guy. All other poodles and long hair doggies in their pictures have the same problem. And the begining I think they just look like that, but now I realize it is because the same crying style cut..... I have two new puppies with my youngest ready for her first cut. I decided to try Blue Moon at the recommendation of someone I know. I messaged them and received a quick response and thankfully, they had an appt open. I brush my pups twice a day so they never have any mats or tangles. I also trim their nails, paw pads, brush her teeth and clean their ears regularly. So they're both used to being touched, held, handled, etc. That said, today was her cut with Blue Moon. At drop off, I showed them inspo pics. I told them I am growing out her ears and head as I want more of a traditional look for her breed. I asked them not to touch those areas and instead only give a trim. Upon picking her up I didn't do a throughough job checking her as they carried her out and I placed her in the car right away so I could pay. My fault for being distracted as I had my son and other pup in the car & with COVID, I wasn't trying to stand around too long to chat. They commented on how well behaved she was and how clean her ears were and asked if I take her to a vet or do it myself. Anyhow, once I got home I noticed how poorly her cut went. Her face, head and ears were shortened- certainly not what I asked. But it was the rest of her body that is the saddest part. She is so u even all over. In some areas the difference on length is almost an inch. There was no blending or smooth transitions in lengths. Anyhow, I'm quite sad to see how poorly her cut was done. My 2-star rating is simply for the ease of appt making and how nice the gal was who assisted me. I posted the pics on a group site for her breed that I'm a part of to see if maybe I am in the wrong and just being dramatic. So many agreed that this was a terrible cut and asked if maybe the groomer is new and inexperienced. Anyhow, all that aside, I'm not a happy camper and am really regretting taking her here. I really had high hopes for this place with two puppies that require grooming often, I wanted to find a good groomer that they will be with for the long haul. read more

We took her here at 4 months old after not having the best experience at a different pet grooming place in San Jose and we have not looked back since. *Review is for self-service wash only* Came here desperate to give my dog a bath since she had some tummy troubles but her regular self-wash place was already closed. It was around 4pm when I called and they said they usually stop accepting walk-ins for self-service at 4pm (which this was not shown anywhere that I could find on yelp), but they would accommodate me if I came in by 4:30. Thankful that this place was available, I got there around 4:15. Their self service wash stations are all separated into small rooms separated by glass. Each room has one wash station/bath. Room felt a bit small, but was ok enough for me to wash my dog. In a neighboring room, a small dog was in there barking the whole time, stressing my dog, but I was still able to wash her. I will give them kudos that one is able to control the temp and pressure of the water. They provided us some towels at no additional cost when I requested, but the towels seemed stiff? kind of hard to dry my dog with them, didn't seem like they absorbed much. Also, an additional detail I brought my own shampoo (as I always do regardless of where I go), so I can't speak for if they provide some shampoo and what kind. The room itself had a weird smell, it made me want to wash quickly and get out of there. One star for being able to accommodate me last minute One star for being able to do what I needed to do (wash my dog) but I probably would not come back here again for self service. read more
