We bring our toy poodle named winter to see "Sarah w dog grooming" at Wild Dog. She's so professional and our Toy Poodle gives her kisses when he leaves... and he does the for no one's else. He always comes out looking like he's ready for the red carpet. I highly recommend Sarah W. And I highly recommend and appreciate Wild dog grooming for having the space available. Cause without them we would have never found Sarah W. So thank you.
Had an amazing experience with Sarah W. She did an absolutely wonderful job for my 72nd foster, a Jindo/Sapsali She was extremely careful and patient with my 6 month foster puppy . Thanks for the great service.
Sarah Wang did a great job cutting my little guy's hair back in June. I'm impressed she was able to work with Zee without any issues since he had knots and was dealing with a paw issue that wasn't fully healed by the time we dropped him off with Sarah. He came back looking dapper and with the short summer cut that we had envisioned. He got a cute little handkerchief, too! This isn't the best photo of him (he's not the most photogenic), but his shape looked great-- and grew out very nicely, too!
Amazing job here at Wild Dog Grooming! We have never had our dog so clean and well trimmed before. Our normally very anxious labradoodle was not scared at all to be dropped off there. He's very sensitive to new people (nervous) but he immediately walked up to them and asked to be pet! I could tell they took care great care of our pup. His coat also came out extremely soft! Whatever they use there is magic compared to PetSmart!
If you want great service, great grooming and someone who genuinely cares about your dog, this is the place to go. Liz did a fantastic job on our dog. We just got our dog in May and we think its a Schnauzer mix. Liz the groomer said his hair felt like Cocker Spaniel so maybe a Cockapoo!! In any case, he was in need of a haircut. We could barely see his eyes. He is 5 years old but when we picked him up he looked so much younger! Adorable! When you arrive, Liz is very knowledgeable about dogs and suggested certain collars and training ideas. As you enter the room, its very spacious with rod iron gating. There was a dog getting dried, and her dog was walking around. She opened the gate for our dog to walk in and he did wonderful with her dog. She showed us the proper way to introduce our dog to another dog and it was such a relief to see this happen. I love the openness of her salon and the opportunity for our dog to socialize. If your dog is shy, then she has large runs for their privacy. I totally trust Liz with our dog and will look forward to taking our dog back in a couple months.
We have been bringing in our teacup Yorkie to Liz for almost two years now, and wouldn't imagine bringing him to any other groomer. As a matter of fact, her business in Fremont is probably the main reason why I have not taken a more serious effort in moving my family out of the Bay Area. I literally cannot think about having to go through the process of finding Joffrie another groomer given his particular small dog temperament; my brain just shuts down that possibility as I approach that particular rabbit hole. We take him to Liz every two months or so for a haircut, nail trim, bath, the whole nine yards. Even with his small stature, she puts in 110% effort in ensuring that he is properly groomed. Given that he is so anxious and fidgety, I'm sure she has to put in way more energy when taking care of him versus calmer, larger breeds. Liz has also provided great dog handling advice for when I was a dog noobie myeslf when I first got Joffrie. She quells my own anxieties and insecurities about being an adequate pup pawrent, and always has nice things to say about Joffrie, despite his destructive tendencies towards photography props. The infectious positivity that Liz exudes provides a comfort for me that I desperately need when it comes to my Yorkie. The last thing I need wandering the labyrinth of my mind is the notion that there is a possibility that Joffrie is yelping out of control, terrorizing people as a result of his own neuroses that have arisen from my own. When I drop him off with Liz, I know with confidence that these thoughts are unfounded, and am able to get about my day while not being a nuisance to my wife. If you are a nervous first time dog owner like I was two years ago, I highly recommend Liz not just for her grooming capabilities and services, but for her words of encouragement as well. S/O to you Liz!
Took my chow chow for grooming here. She had a beautiful fawn coat and her previous groomer had given her a smart lion cut. When I went to pick her up, I was shocked to see that her coat was completely shaved off, including her mane. Now my poor Bailey looks like a pale shadow of herself. Please see the attached photos. I would certainly not recommend this place based on their lack of knowledge of specific breeds and double coated dogs. If possible, I would have given 0 stars.

This was our first time coming to Wild Dog Grooming. We won a giveaway for a free bath and haircut. We really liked how the grooming space is very open and the dogs are welcome to roam around behind the gated area. I prefer this layout compared to most groomers where the grooming area is behind a door. Liz was very nice and it seemed like my dog, Mochi, really liked her. Mochi is usually very timid and instantly shaking once I take her to a groomer, but she didn't se as scared here. Liz was very welcoming when we arrived and she let us send her reference photos for Mochi's grooming. Mochi was done in about 2.5 hours and her haircut was very nice! Her legs specifically were so even and still fluffy! Most groomers I take Mochi to ends up giving Mochi a very choppy haircut. And I was very surprised that she was actually very happy when we picked her up! I did notice that she was in a kennel while the other dogs were roaming around, but that's 100% understandable, because Mochi doesn't do very well with other dogs anyways. When I usually pick her up, she's very scared and shaking and rushing to leave. But when I picked her up from Liz, she was happy and running around and wagging her tail! We will definitely be coming back for Mochi's next bath and haircut! Thanks, Liz!
We adopted Bleu, our Australian Labradoodle at the beginning of March. A week later, Shelter In Place/COVID happened and we found out quickly that many of the local groomers were closed or no longer taking new clients. As soon as businesses started to open up, we took our dog Bleu to Petsmart, which we learned quickly that this was probably the worst idea. I reached out to friends, other dog owners and trusty Yelp and found Liz at Wild Dog Grooming. Bleu just had his second grooming session with Liz and we are just as happy as our first session. She's so incredibly personable, friendly and knowledgable; giving us tips and tricks to try at home. Not only did Bleu come back smelling and looking so fresh and so clean, he wasn't stressed out at all by the time we got home. Thank you Liz!!! We'll see you again in a couple of months!!!
Thank you Liz! We live in Hollister but always willing to bring our German Shepard to have her groomed by Liz! Her coat is always shiny and fluffy when we get her back! It's also a good opportunity for my big girl to socialize with others in a safe manner (due to covid). We'll be back in 4 weeks!!!!

I was looking for a salon to take in my 25lb corgi last second as she was due for her quarterly grooming (we bathe her every two weeks to up keep her cleanliness). Initially wild dog grooming had no appointments available but Liz proactively reached out to me to see if I need any help booking an appointment. Luckily through our conversation, she let me know that there was one available slot for the same day so we secured it immediately. The entire service (bath and tidy) came out to $100 before tip which is a fair price! Ponyo came out with a nice rounded butt and her trim was very clean. Unfortunately they do not do anal gland expression, but I'm still pleased with the service. They even gave her this really cute pink bandana after the service. Ponyo came out super happy so I know they took good care of her while cleaning her. Thank you Wild Grooming! read more

We wanted our Pomeranian to have a more puppy/shiba inu cut, and it came out perfect! We were scared at first because my dog is a flat coated throwback pom, but it came out exactly how we wanted it. This is my second time going to Sarah, and I would definitely recommend her especially if you have a Pomeranian! read more

We had such a great experience with Liz. She did such an amazing job on our Micro Mini Golden Doodle. We're super happy with her service. I loved the fact that she has such an extensive background on dogs and isn't simply a certified groomer. Her salon is very neatly and organized. Very presentable to say the least. I wanted to post my review on Vagaro but it was blocking me from doing so, with a pop up "you cannot review a business you have not visited." I was looking for a new groomer in the area as I currently work in the Bay. I'd like to review Sarah W. She's an awesome groomer, I fell in love with the way she took care of my Pom/Dach mix the 1st time. You can tell she has attention to detail and treats animals very well. Usually, I can tell when Yoda is not happy with his body language and eyes but everytime he sees Sarah it's like he has met her at a previous life. I book her every month and there's appt reminders everytime. Until I am moved somewhere else for work, I'll keep booking Sarah. Thank you read more

This was Blue's second trip to the groomer and I can't emphasize enough how amazing Liz was. I've gone to multiple groomers in the past for my other dogs and have gone back to a cut that's completely different from what I've explained and shown. Liz was by far the most patient and the sweetest groomer we've been to. She was thoughtful in giving me tips and allowed me to discuss what I wanted for her cut. I understand sometimes Instagram inspos may be unrealistic given the condition of your dogs hair, but she was realistic in her approach at explaining what works and what doesn't work for Blue. I left with a general idea with what she would look like and came back in love with her new cut. read more

I brought two of my yorkies to this place was happy to have there haircut since everywhere else was booked and this place got me in within a week. I dropped them off and they said it would take 4-5 hours. I received a text they would be ready in 30 mins. I showed up my little girl yorkies hair was uneven and I kindly asked her to cut it shorted in which she did and she looked great. My boy Yorkie looked amazing. I went to pay and pulled out money for the tip and my card for the fees. I was charged 75 initially then I gave a tip and was informed at that point I was only charged one dog. So I ran my card again for which I thought was another 75. Then gave each girl 10 dollar tip. As I went to the car I looked at my transactions and realized I was overcharged by 30 dollars and i showed them my bank statement. I stood in the hot sun while I'm assuming it was the owner and her husband looked into it. They agreed they would give me the difference back that was overcharged but then decided they would send me home while they figured it out. I left and got a email from the owner upset that I gave a bad review in which all I did was put a sad face on the square transaction because the truth was I was overcharged! The email stated she refunded one of my dogs fee which was 75 and I haven't received it. The money was refunded by accident which she cancelled because she initially was trying to refund 30 and accidentally refunded one dog fee in which I took two yorkies to her. The work is great the girls did a great job but as for the owner there professionalism was poor and she could have went about it in a different way. I wouldn't recommend this buisness at all! The owner has zero professionalism! Also she stated in the email that I was overcharged due to the type of card I used which was extremely offensive because I'm pretty darn sure I'm not the only person in this world that is on unemployment. read more

I took my 4 month old Papillon/Pom-mixed puppy, Mochi, to the groomers for the first time and came across this place! Booking an appointment was relatively easy to do online, and we accidentally chose the wrong service. Luckily, Sara was very accommodating to our needs and treated Mochi very well (especially with treats)! After about 2 hours, he came out looking really clean and soft afterwards. Will return again soon! read more

Liz, our groomer, is highly skilled. She does a wonderful job on my bichon, Kipper. She also gave me tips on what and when to feed my dog. ThankGod he is back to a healthy weight. My dogs have never looked so good and smell so clean! The fancy bandana made him even cuter. Thank you, Liz, for your outstanding service. Highly recommend!! read more

We have taken our poodle-mix Eddie to Liz at Wild Dog Grooming since we got him and he always comes back looking dapper and happy. Liz also shared tips on combing/brushing Eddie and general care with my daughter. My daughter insists on taking Eddie to Liz for grooming and bath/brushing every time. Highly recommended! read more

We just try this shop for the first time. While dropping off our dog off we met Liz. She was super friendly Liz she trimmed our dog exactly the way we requested. Our Maltese Holly came out so beautiful !! Thank you I highly recommend this shop!! read more

So happy to found out that this place is open during the fun 2020 situation. The place is clean & Liz is very responsive with my requests/questions. The service is spot on. My corgi came back with cute butt trimmed and smell so fresh. The coat looks shiny too. So happy and definitely will go back again. Thank you Liz ! read more

Liz is awesome. Very knowledgeable and my doggie warmed up to her very easily. Since our first visit, she made me feel comfortable leaving my doggie there before I left and was very accommodating. You can tell by the way she talks about dogs and her work, that she is passionate and enjoys what she does. I've been to other groomers before and there's been times where the groomer did not try to make my doggie feel comfortable and I had to pick him up because he threw up from anxiety. This will be my go-to groomer for now on and I highly recommend bringing your fur baby. read more

Not the greatest customer service. Don't expect a warm welcome but they do a decent grooming job. You would think in these tough Covid times, customers would be treated with kindness and you would think customer service would be a priority. Not sure if I'll give them another try, I will update this review if I go back. ***update Please see shop owners reply to my original post. Very unprofessional, like I had said previously. I'm glad she replied because here you guys can see; as customers, I doubt anyone wants to be treated like this. If she would have just apologized for the experience I received, I would've edited the amount of stars I gave. Thanks for showing your true colors Liz. I hope your customers see this ugly side of you. There was no need to make me feel "special" but maybe with just a bit of kindness my experience at your business would have been a totally different thing. **** Reply to shop owners 3rd revision of her response to me. This reply is much more thought out and almost an apology. If this had been the first reply I would have changed the amount of stars. The reason you don't know who I am Liz is because I am sure you would have reached out and attacked me, instead of trying to fix the issue. What I experienced in your shop was so unprofessional and speech impediment or not, this is your business. I would just expect kindness at the very least not "special" treatment. The basic aspect of kindness is lacking from you. It leaves a sour taste in someone's mouth when they are treated the way I was treated. I understand you are very qualified but how does any of that matter when you treat people the way you do? read more
