I don't know much about engines, however I assumed that it would be fine and went ahead and met my husband at the storage facility. We loaded the truck and then my husband heard the noise coming from the engine. He was deeply concerned that the truck wouldn't make the long drive to Louisiana. I called Chapel Creek and asked them what to do. Michelle answered and told me to call the 800 number on the keychain. So I did and they sent a mechanic out to look at the truck. The man arrived about an hour later and he then proceeded to diagnose the truck with 1 of 4 possible issues. At this point I was really started to suffer from anxiety, as I couldn't get stranded in the middle of the bayou for an hour if the truck broke down! I then asked him about getting another truck and he said he would call it in to the Home Office and they would need to make the call on how we should proceed. By this time it was 4pm and we were leaving the next morning at 5am, I didn't need to deal with red tape I needed a solution! So I called Michelle again at Chapel Creek and voiced my frustration to her. She immediately called her Area Manager and he contacted me within 10 minutes. He said Michelle had called him and told me of my problem. He had gone ahead and secured another truck for me and told me it was very close to where I was located. He apologized for the inconvenience and said there would be no fee because my issue was considered an emergency. My husband and I drive to the other location, unloaded and loaded the new truck and they expedited my paperwork so we could get out of there quickly. We drove it to New Orleans in the other truck and actually made great time! And I didn't have one worry the whole way! Michelle even called me the night I got home and made sure I was safe and sound! What great service and follow through! Very impressed with the integrity of the folks over at Chapel Creek!! Thank you very much!

But upon being transferred to the OWNER, I was accosted by a real creep - who not only yelled at me - but was totally obnoxious. This was THE OWNER - no less. He kept talking about someone named Sherry - and I have no clue what he was talking about. So, therefore if you LOVE HORRIBLE PEOPLE, and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - then THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. I have had hard times. they don't know this however they have been very good tome as a customer who has been late for several months in a row. once my friend was to pay the bill and totally forgot and I thought it was paid and it wasnt realized until the second month was due. I missed the notices but they were totally cool about me catching up. they are also very very reasonable with their late fees and the amount of time you have before they are enforced. and even cheaper by comparison by a landslide are their rental rates. I love the customer support and the ease of getting my issues resolved. the face of Arrow Storage for me is always the same. she's always there dependable and she is easy to deal with!!!!! anything I need to change or alter in any way I know I can call or email or leave a message after hours and am 100% confident it will be taken care of WITHOUT WORRY OR QUESTION. this is you're best choice when it comes to price, service and having your ever changing needs met with people who will be there to work with you with respect, diligence and your satisfaction in mind at all times. I've been using this storage unit for a couple years now, and the only minor issue I've had with…read morethem is that their price has gone up over the last year. That's a bit of a bummer, but not totally unexpected or crazy or anything. This is a nice, clean, and safe facility (as far as I can tell!). Storage units always have a bit of a creepy factor no matter where they're located, especially if your unit is completely inside a building like mine. I will admit I feel a bit nervous every time I meander through the long identical hallways looking for my unit, and I feel like it'd be pretty easy to get lost in there... But you can always grab a map at the front desk or ask the staff to remind you which path to take! The staff has always been extremely helpful and readily available to answer questions, so you can count on that. Paying online is ultra easy and literally only takes two clicks once all of your payment information is entered. Just don't be late on your payment or they immediately tag on a $10 late fee. I do think this storage unit is a tad expensive, but again, nothing too out of the ordinary!

Brace yourself for an electrifying -- if true -- review…read more If you're of the opinion that all storage units are pretty much created equally, I definitely invite you to go visit a few and get back to me: simply put, there are a wide variety of shenanigans going down at some of these places, and it can be noted that I've been to some where there have been (and I am not making this up), open fires in the parking lot and chatter of side businesses that would seem hysterical were it not for the fact that the man's dentures were rattling around in abject seriousness while he spoke of such side businesses. This, of course, is a story for another time over beers, but for the time being, suffice it to say that I decided to err in favor of sanity and rented a spot at Eagle, French for That Place Where Your Stuff Is Safe. Along the way, I learned lots of things, not the least of which is that A) apparently for some reason folks are renting many more of the climate controlled units than they had been before. There were details as to why, but somewhere in the middle, admittedly I tuned that part out. And B) they are, as one might expect, pretty adamant about the security part of the equation here. That means that you have to punch your code into the gate to get in (not unusual) and then punch it again to get back out again (less usual). What that means is that if some random fellow decides to gun it out of the parking lot behind you after dropping off his stuff -- but doesn't use the keypad -- an alarm goes off tied to the unit he came in under. So that's fun. All protocols aside, the spaces are well kept and the management seems to be genuinely on top of what's up: if you get deliveries from such services (as I occasionally do), you can predetermine who is kosher to drop stuff in your space, and even should you be out of town you can have them place your stuff in your absence. Scrap at the south entrance, aluminum at the north. I took a trailer of mixed metals (tin, steel, aluminum) and believe that I got a fair price. The office where you get paid is too small so it was crowded and confusing -- you have to fill out a form, then go to one window to get your estimate, then go to a window on the other side to give your signature and thumb print so that you get paid. That was the worst part of the whole experience, but overall a better experience than I had hoped for. I will be a return customer.

Not only does their website state that they have 24 hour video surveillance, but we were told in person and over the phone that they had 24 hour cameras. After arriving at our storage unit to move out, we discovered thousands of dollars worth of stuff missing. When we asked for the security footage, it turned out they in fact do not have security cameras at all in the building. The insurance we signed up and paid for covered absolutely nothing because our lock was not damaged. The storage units do not go all the way to the ceiling making it easy for anyone to get in through the top. We would be able to easily see this and get our insurance if they actually had cameras. So if you want everyone to have easy access to all your things, then this is the place to rent. We have not heard from a manager or anything.
