Polite, professional, on time and knowledgeable; all things that a a rarity in the south Florida market. He detected an external leak at the fountain feature and recommended someone to fix it. But in the meantime the pool kept losing water even though the fountain had been turned off. George came back out two days later, dove into the pool for more tests and used sonic technology on the paver deck to locate a leak in the old main drain rubber hose. He was careful not to disturb any pavers that were not absolutely necessary to move. He also put in a temporary plug to stop the leaking until the pipe could be repaired. Best of all, I thought that because he came back twice he would charge again, but he did it all for the same $350. If you have a leak, do not hesitate to call Poseidon!

So today I pushed myself to do it but after the work was done the motor was running 2 minutes and stopped again and again. I texted Vincent for help and after several exchanges of texts and pictures he suggested that it was a problem with the voltage. I was sure that my timer was on 110 !! After checking , sure enough it was 250 V... so I put back the switch of the motor to 220 and voila it worked !! We met with Greg Ross the owner of the company (after meeting with a few other folks) and we decided to go with his company.... as the pictures of his past projects looked good and his estimate was reasonable too. We decided to go with the Travertine Tile for the deck and the Azure Blue for the interior of the pool. We went to the warehouse that Greg works with and selected our tile. After that Greg and his posse took over and I must say I was surprised by their promptness and efficiency on getting the job done. YES they were done in exactly 1 week! Greg was there to answer all our concerns and questions and was an absolute gentleman, always prompt and polite. The finished product looked Amazing! We just finished our pool renovation using Sun Blue Pools and had a great experience. We heard of…read morethe horror stories that people had with pool contractors in the past and I was kind of apprehensive with starting such a big project. We decided to do a complete renovation, new diamond brite, new decking, a sun shelf addition and a relocation of our pool pump system. We have had multiple quotes, from multiple companies, but we made our final decision based of positive referrals. We were told that the job would start within 2 weeks of signing the contract and that the job would take 4-6 weeks to be completed and swimmable. This was partially incorrect, as the job started immediately and completed under 4 weeks. We were impressed with the craftsmanship with the team at Sun Blue. They made the experience very low stress. We've had bad experiences in the past on projects where the contractors never kept us in the loop with the status of the work being done, but Sun Blue kept us informed every step of the way. It was refreshing to get daily phone calls from their team letting us know the schedule for the day or following days. We had workers on site practically everyday and if they weren't, we were told in advance. This practice is what every homeowner looks for in a company. When the job was completed, one of the owners came by for a final walkthrough to see if we had any issues before receiving the final payment. In prior experiences, the final payment meant that if there were any future issues that the contractors wouldn't pick up the phone or return phone calls once they got paid. Not Sun Blue. We've been in contact with one of the owners, Alan, a couple times since and he's even stopped by a couple of times to consult with us on a couple of issues, none directly related with their work. That is why they came so highly recommended and it is why they deserve a 5 star rating. I will definitely be using them for my future projects and will gladly refer them to friends and family.

It's funny how as soon as I posted my review, Coastline quickly made their Bio on Yelp sound great. Problem solver? Really? There was a pool leak at the return line after this job was finished. Red Rhino determined that It was caused by the chip out. I ended up paying $600 for the repair, and Steve refuses to reimburse... this is something so simple and to do the right thing... Steve states that his company came out and found no evidence of a pool leak. Really?! When?! I have 24 hour video surveillance. Coastline never checked! I hired a "Contractor" to fix the upper part of my pool. He's not a fence guy. Regardless of who I used, Coastline did work after, with zero communication and filled in as little Diamond Bright as they could to save money. Steve likes to harp on that, and it's not even mentioned in my review.. I made ONE tile color change BEFORE my project even started. Of course Coastline delivered the WRONG original tile I picked. Steve blames the customer. Just one of the many, many mistakes made.. Maybe you shouldn't take in so many jobs at the same time and actually supervise what's going on! His contract states " fill with pre-filter city water to ensure against staining". When I contacted Steve, who was not around to supervise and told him about the dark stains in my new pool, he came looked at it, would not take responsibility and walked away, paid in full Over time, the pool has continued to deteriorate. Stains got darker and Diamond Brite started to wear away and chip because it was not applied thick enough. I asked Steve Schaefer, Coastline Pools to please come and look at the pool. He spent a few minutes, reluctantly, would not answer my questions, was rude and walked away telling me to contact SGM (Diamond Brite supplier). SGM came and inspected my pool. We talked about the poor workmanship. Their report states, "delamination of the surface, pool material not applied to correct thickness, and molting. Complaint resolution: REDO POOL " SGM is an outstanding, professional company that honored their warrantee. They supplied materials at no cost for the job to be done again. SGM contacted Steve Schaeffer, Coastline Pools to resurface my pool. I received a sloppy unprofessional, hand written proposal from Steve, "install warranty material at cost. COD". If this is an indication of this company's service/work , why would I have them return?? There was no remorse or follow up to remedy my problem until SGM stepped in and contacted him.
